Very quiet and pleasant place to sit and relax. I ordered english breakfast which was deliciously made, and on top of that, they served me a free orange juice. Very refreshing.

It's a cafe, but with the feeling of an old-fashioned Konditorei or Tearoom. Nice cakes and upstairs there is a nice view at the Grote Markt (central square of Groningen city).

Recently ate lunch here, second time I visited. Had an overall enjoyable experience. Staff friendly, lunch served quickly, large portions, good taste and good value.Typical traditional Dutch cuisine. Nice seating area upstairs with views over market square. Only thing is stairs are very steep! But otherwise would recommend as a good place in central Groningen. Look forward to returning.

Cozy place, the service was friendly and efficient, the food was great! We got two breakfast menus and the price was very much worth the quality and portion we got! Very much recommended!!

My favorite spot in Groningen! If you come to Grote Markt it is necessary to visit De Kostery 😉! A polite service and perfect coffee! 🔝

A nice little place for a quick cuppa. My friend and I came here for some hot chocolate, which was great. Very rich and creamy. The staff was also polite and friendly.

Dieses Café gefällt mir sehr. Die Leute sind immer sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Menükarten gibt es auf Holländisch, Englisch und Deutsch. Einfach perfekt. Hier kann man bon Kaffee (auch mit Schuss), Kakao, Kuchen auch Frühstück und Rumpsteak bekommen. Einfach perfekt. Von hier aus gelangt man in die Martini Kirche, die man für einen Euro besichtigen kann.
