The place was really nice. We had dinner there and the food was really good. They also have a room in the back quite is great if you want to rent it for events.

The experience here was nothing short of a 5 star. One should get to know the story of the place and the king which totally ads to the experience.

Service was excellent, very cozy place with an amazing ambiance.

Food was on point as well. Would recommend the king's Meal, the meat was so soft and tender and combined very well with a peanut sauce.

The wooden interiors add to the antique vibe here and gave a sense of an Irish pub.

Highly recommended!

Unbelievably nice place! I came to Groningen to visit my Dutch cousin Roel. He said I had to see “The Soest”, and man was he right. This diner cafe serves extremely tasty food and poors you delicious, fresh, cold “Tall Jan” beers. Believe me when I say you have to visit this place. You won’t regret it.

Tasty food served by friendly staff in a cozy pub atmosphere. This place was recommended by a local and I'd definitely go there again.

My favorite beer bar in Groningen. A great selection of Dutch craft beers on tap. And the bartender usually offers some great conversation.

Eind van de middag met onze oudste dochter en haar vriendin bij Soestdijk heerlijk gegeten. De boerenschnitzel met spekjes was top. Dat gold ook voor de patatjes en de salade. Verder waren de zalm en de varkensmedaillon ook heel lekker. Vlotte en vriendelijke bediening.

Klein gezellig!! Je kunt er heerlijk eten en ze hebben prima vegetarische keuzes.
Zeer vriendelijk en attent personeel. Knus en gezellig. Vooraf reserveren is niet mogelijk.
