Van der Valk Hotel Oostzaan - Amsterdam

Nice hotel. I forgot my invoice and got a copy after 2 months passed. Prices for food were reasonable.

Great rooms. Bathroom was super clean and spacious. Bed was incredibly comfy.
Reception service upon arrival was great, but room service at night (Saturday) was appalling. My wife called twice with no assistance.
The breakfast is a must have as it was an amazing choice of foods.
Highly recommend.

I went to the restaurant of the hotel. The service Is great. Everything Is clean (toilets included). Recommended also with children. I had the mushroom pie from the Wilde menù starter, gorgeous! As main I had the Château briand, delicious, the meat was melting in the mouth! I've also enjoyed the selection of wine. Attention to detail. Elegant without making those arriving in jeans uncomfortable. Love it! and you can end the night at the casino just a few steps away.

Went for dinner and it was fantastic and fresh. Service really friendly and knows the menu. I had a port with sprit in a long glass. The bar man had never had this order before but said he's going to try this when he finishes work. Hope he did.

Just went for the coffee. It has an excellent terrace outside

I went to this hotel for some time to do some quiet work. I had a comfort room on the 6th floor where I had some space to work on my laptop. And enough space in the room not to feel claustrophobic.

I like van der Valk as their hotels are spacious and good quality. The breakfast was really good and fresh with lots of choice. Lunch and dinner are also good with many different types op dishes.

I rented a bike to go to 't Twiske for some walking and nature. That was lovely. I also used the free gym. Unfortunately it did not cater for the type of workout i normally do (calisthenics), so I had to be creative. Forgot my bathing suit so was not able to use the pool and the welness.

The room was spacious and clean. Nice bathroom with a walk in shower. Toilet is separately. The pillows of the bed were very soft. Too soft for my liking. One other thing to improve: the "desk" where you can work on had very sharp edges so it started to hurt my under arm. I solved it with my laptop sleeve but would be handy of they were rounded.

Service was good. Although during dinner and lunch I sometimes had to wait very long. During lunch on the terrace near the bar I actually did not see anybody for 10 minutes so I walked away to the restaurant inside. Room service price is outrageous in my opinion. 15 euros to have the food brought to you is too much.

All together i had a good experience and I will definitely come back.

I stayed here with my partner for 3 nights; we were pleasantly welcomed here and received a voucher for a free drink to be consumed at the bar or restaurant.
The hotel has free and plenty parking spaces. A shuttle to the ferry was offered during our stay; public transport from the hotel is not readily available!
The elevators were secured by room floors being only accessible with a valid room keycard which provides a heightened sense of security.
The superior double room was spacious with large windows and a small window which could be opened. If you get a room on the front side, this means you can get in some noise from the nearby street and highway, but it did not bother us at all.
The noise which did bother me was sounds fr neighboring rooms; whirlpool baths being used in the middle of the night, room doors being slammed shut almost.
The TV which could be turned was nice, being able to view it from bed or sitting on the chairs.

The room is fully equipped. A soap dispenser near the sink would be a welcome addition. We did not use the restaurant or wellness facilities at all so there is nothing I can say about those.

All in all the hotel has a lot to offer and although not perfect, it provided a more than just good stay. 4.5 stars!

Great place to stay, close to Amsterdam

While it is a short drive from the city centre, for the price the hotel was far swankier than we were expecting! Lots of very fancy art etc. Lovely log fire near the bar to have one bottle of prosseco too many next too. The rooms are very spacious, big smart TV at the bottom of the bed (win). Very nice big shower with two settings, easy to find the perfect temperature and very difficult to leave. They also do those little travel soaps and shower gels with extra to nab home. No complaints, great service all round.

The hotel has a lovely atmosphere. The room was nicely appointed, comfortable, and had a window wall. The bathtub was gloriously large, and a jacuzzi, and had a separate rain shower. The breakfast buffet was well done, with a large number of options.

The rooms are really great here.

Spacious and clean room, friendly staff, and a nice location with shuttle service to the ferry, which leads to Amsterdam Central Station.

Very high standard. Big rooms with large bathroom and separate toilet. Breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired. Good lunch menu very well prepared. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

Great location if you want to visit both the urban sprawl of Amsterdam or the countryside with it's windmills and other local attractions. Right next to the freeway, you should be able to reach anything interesting within an hour or two.

Restaurant has a great selection of food with professional, polite staff. Even got to take a look in the kitchen which was nice and clean.

New and beautiful hotel. Nice view on country side, balcony on the 6th floor is accessible from the room, high ceilings, beautiful fitness room, pool and 2 saunas (dry and steam).
Restaurant is on the first floor, casino is in a basement, supermarket 15 min away from the hotel.
Recommended.

The front desk staff was always so delightful and helping! They work hard and do it with a neat clothing and a smile. The hotel is very clean and the food is great!

the only negative: if you come by car it isnt a problem but if you come by bus ,you have to walk 1.2 km before you are in the hotel.
