De Harmonie

Excellent experience! We were gracefully received by the hotel staff who hadn’t measured efforts to ensure that we were comfortable. The place is strategically situated to meet the bucolic village of Giethoorn.

We enjoyed staying at hotel de Harmonie. The hotel hosts were really nice and made good suggestions for planning our activities for the days we were there. The restaurant manager/waiter was also very nice and the food very good - we enjoyed staying in at night and just eating in the restaurant. Breakfast was good, but we didn't like having to wait until 8 for access to the coffee machine - would be nice to get to the coffee earlier. We had a room with a deck but the view of the canal was one off the main canal so no boats going by - but it was raining so they weren't out and we weren't on the deck anyway. Rooms were large with comfortable chairs to relax and comfortable bed. They also rent boats right at the hotel, provided a map, and we spent 3 hours on the canals riding through the area and the center of Giethorn on a nice afternoon - this was really fun. The hotel is not walking distance to Giethorn downtown, but it's a fun ride with the boat, or you can drive and park easily in Giethorn center.

I rented the boat and the service was fantastic. We lost our way on our returm and they sent someone to meet and comes with us to the hotel at no extra cost.

We stayed one night and also rented a boat there. Really enjoyed everything. It is located in a more quieter part of town so we got a more intimate experience without lots of tourists. The property was well kept, quiet and clean. The room was spacious and comfortable. The owner took the time to explain how to operate the boat. Breakfast was good and the hotel has free parking onsite. We were really happy with our stay.

We have stayed two nights in this wonderful place that was owned by a wonderful Dutch Couple. The owners are very friendly, help and kind. They provide us with very useful information, and also you must book the boat by them. It is more reasonable price and the route they have suggested was wonderful.
The breakfast was really rich, excellent restaurant with wonderful taste food served with a very happy waiter.
We can’t wait to visit Hotel de Harmonie again.

I didn't stay there, I only availed boat service. It was a great experience. Owner is a very nice person and he communicated very well. There was an App which was very useful to navigate the path for boat trip.

We spend 3 nights at this lovely hotel and I have only good things to say. The hotel is located at the far end of Giethoorn, which I personally would see as a plus looking at the masses of tourists gathering in Giethoorn proper. The room was fairly big with a fridge and air conditioning. Renting a boat directly at the hotel is the most convenient way as there is a dock at the back of the hotel. The breakfast buffet was very good with lots of options. And last but not least the wifi was very fast.

We had a great stay at De Harmonie. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We spent a fantastic day on their rental bikes in the morning and on their rental boat in the afternoon - an amazing experience. If you get the chance, we definitely recommend both activities. Thank you so much for everything.

The city of Giethoor is beautiful. De Harmonie hotel has great accommodations, a clean room and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was varied and delicious. We rented a boat for a tour and we were very happy, the gentleman who attended us was very attentive and helpful. We couldn't have dinner at the hotel because we didn't make a reservation before, so be aware of that.

We rented a boat, The outer is a lovely man, took the time to explain about the route and the boat, very good prices compared to other boat rentals in the area.

Nice and cozy hotel , with decent rooms and good options on their restaurant.
Placed in a calm place, 4 kms from the center and other restaurants.
With their own service of rent of boats and bikes If needed and on the reception they can provide you all kind of information and maps.
The service really friendly, they speak English as well, and the bar area really charm with couches and a fireplace.
Enjoyed here the coffee really much.

Service was great, rooms were very clean and modern and the staff is friendly and very knowledgeable of local history. My family is not sure why the ratings on this hotel aren’t higher, obviously someone has an axe to grind. We will definitely return!

Really helpful staff the gentleman answered all of our questions and gave a lot of tips for our trip.
We loved the location as it's not in the busy part also the boat trip from the hotel is a must!

Would give 6-7 stars if we could! The included dinner was unexpected and was 5 star restaurant worthy. All the staff will go out of their way to make your stay relaxing and the best fit for you. The beds are very comfortable, soft but they have support. The bike and boat rentals are very convenient and the best ways to move around Giethoorn. Jan and his Wife, along with their staff make wonderful hosts. Heel erg bedankt en zie je weer.

It is really a nice hotel quiet and cozy,, we had rented a boat and it was amazing and beautiful we saw all the village within 2 hours only

We rented a small electric boat and got a bigger one for the same price! The price per hour was not bad at all. The service and location were good. The only downside was the lack of parking space due to the good weather.

The friendliest customer service I've ever had at a hotel, called in advanced that I was running late after check in and they completely understood and check in was less than a minute. Great breakfast and beautiful rooms. Loved it
