Grand Café Fanfare

Outstanding cuisine! I was a little suspicious at first because of the very touristy place but ordering with qr code was quick, menu well organized, service was fast (drinks first, meals after 5mn) by a professional young waiter, and to top it all it was the most exquisite linguine I had in a while (and nourishing! big eater but almost couldn't finish) gambas, peppers, asparagus and coco milk sauce! My kid took the fries & 'mini burger' which was actually half of a giant burger 😅 and my wife the small rotisserie chicken. Overall 75€ for 3 with drinks, but really huge portions and fine cuisine so definitely worth! Great place & all credit cards accepted, so go with ease 😉

Great atmosphere and service, but if you want to use the boats, just make sure to ask for all needed info, as we did not get any and we had to abandon the boat 1 km away and walk back, as it was not properly charged...

Very nice location. Food taste decent. For the taste itself I would rate for 4-4.5 star. However considering that it is actually surprisingly difficult to find a proper restaurant in Giethoorn (most of them feel only one time visit by tourists), I am happy to find this restaurant which makes decent food. Plus the surrounding atmosphere is very pleasant, waitress was very friendly, the total experience worths a 5 star.

2017 Were there on our 1 Day Vaccation.
Food were very good.
Prices was good for such a place.
If i go again i will visit this place for sure.

2020 After marriage got the same dishes again,but bigger. Happy to got a boat nearby.

The portions are just huge, we could well take one dish and share for two. The food is delicious as well. The menu is vast and has pasta, hamburgers, soups, fish, sandwiches and international hits (like Tom Kha Gai or Kimchi).

Food is good and price is very fair.
Such a great place for a visit and value lunch inside a fantastic decorative restaurant.

Great & very delicious food !! super friendly & nice staff. We ordered veggie burger onion soup, hommeade truffe fries with parmesan (their spécialité), homemade fries with creamy cheese and kimchi as well as homemade chips with rendang.. our compliments to the chef for all and sorry for the photos: I couldn't wait to taste some of them😉

I appreciate there were a few vegan options and everything was clearly labeled vegetarian or vegan. The vegan burger was great. The bread plate was as well.

The beef burger was so juicy and the bun was crispy. The portion is large enough for 2 girls to share. Value for money!

Food worth dying for!!! We ordered Menu v/d Chef which is a three course meal and each delicacy was just beyond expectations. I never thought a café could have such an elaborate menü. I was thinking that they might have just burgers or pieces of pastries etc but each and every part of th serving was accurate in terms of portion size and presentation was also very very nice. The Café has a very rustic ambiance and the service was almost spectacular. It was a bit slow, we thought and we had to call them each time we finished a course but we got prompt service as soon as we requested. The guy who served us also expained the main course.
Therefore, highly recommended!!

We had Lady steak and salmon, taste of of them were juicy and tender. The best Dutch traditional side dish in this restaurant is apple-liked “rabarbar”, even though it is a bit too sweet, but still like it;) come to enjoy their good service and atmosphere.

This place is really cute. Was the only place open before 10 and the staff made us actual coffees (not ones from a machine). The atmosphere was fun, they had a band (?) practising and it was lekker warm inside. Highly recommend

We were at this cozy and very cool place last week during the Christmas break. We like Giethoorn a lot and come here for a walk quite frequently. We've been to a few paces to eat and like this one we like by far the most. They had very nice live music playing there and two cute ladies in their outfits cooking waffles for everyone. We enjoyed our coffee break here a lot! Great atmosphere. Definitely will come back again!

We came here at the end of the season and during Corona, I bet at a more normal time it could be very busy. We sat outside and were served promptly. We each just got tea, I got mine with small desserts. It was nice to sit and watch people.

When you visit Giethoorn, you must try this restaurant. Salad with beef is so tasty, and pasta is also delicious. I will definitely come again if I go to Giethoorn.

The food is satisfying with reasonable price.

Chips with truffle is delicious, Don Yum soup tastes Italian instead of Thai.
We also ordered lobster and goat knuckles, great!

Staff is really attentive and the food is delicious. Place looks really cozy and nice atmosphere. Totally recommended for a stop when visiting Giethoorn.

True what i like, lemonade with honey, natural sweet not with sugar. Apple pie not sweet. I and my friend are quite picky with pie but it is absolutely our wanted. We finished entire apple pie.

Nice food and reasonable price considering the price level here. The view from the terrace is amazing also. My father and I ordered the appetizer assortment and house steak for 20 euros per person.
