As usual great place to chill and have lunch and we soooo felt like steak but that was only on the dinner menu, however as always they made it happen as we wanted it, steak, eggs n chips and it was delish

I really enjoy this place, it's very gezellig, as the Dutch would say. It has a lot of potential. I would visit more often if the food was improved a bit (it's a bit too simple for me). Nonetheless, I appreciate its existence in Zaandam!

We visited Lab-44 on a sunny, hot Saturday evening. The place is very special. Inside an industrial area, it has a unique atmosphere and it’s very own character. It’s not the typical touristic restaurant you will find in a city, and I realised it’s a place locals know and prefer.

We had dinner at the terrace. Service was quick and personnel very polite. Food was amazing. We were 5 people, 4 adults and 1 child, we had beef burgers with fries, and pizzas. All delicious, tasty and well cooked. Also drinks. We had Aperol spritz and Strawberry Daiquiri, all well prepared and served.

There is a big grass field on the side of the restaurant, where children can play, without cars passing by. Very safe and quiet. It was a relaxing evening, that we enjoyed very much.

Absolute hidden gem in Zaandam, deep in the Hem area. Food is amazing. Something for everybody, from burger to pizza to high cuisine dishes. Tried a couple of starters, loved the tuna and dessert. Great craft beer beautiful location. Not that expensive. Go!

Friendly personnel, quick service, and tasty food! There’s a variety of dishes to choose from for lunch, drinks and diner.

If you love the sun as much as I do, you might want to sit on the terrace, it’s big and on the sunny side of the restaurant. There are also places in the shade if you want to mix it up.

Really, really good experience. The interior is large and spacious along with a nice energy. The food (that we ate) was excellent. Menu offers are really varied choice and the quality to price is very fair.

Very nice location, next to the sea, an old brouwerij factory, delicious pizza alternatives and very nice service, will definitely come again. Dank je wel!

One of the best restaurants in Zaandam. Very tasty with loft atmosphere.

A comfortable place to have some interesting food and drinks with some friends. A slightly eclectic menu executed well. A large and high dining area keeps noise under control and allows one to enjoy the experience with friends.

A historical place, nice architect and good view

Excellent meal. Out of the ordinary meal choices. Good service. It was busy but the high ceilings kept the noise levels tolerable. We enjoyed the experience.

Funky place with a wonderful view and super friendly and efficient staff.
The food arrived fast and was delicious.
I think the only point of difficulty is getting there, but if you have a bike in the Netherlands, everything is possible !!!

After visiting Het Hem, we had a wonderful lunch (at 3PM..) last Saturday. Well cooked perfectly seasoned cod with mousseline and homemade truffle gnocchis, absolutely de-li-cious! Generous quantities, decent price, nice staff and setting. I recommend it.
