I’m very confused by all the low reviews here. This place has the most affordable and decent lunch options in the entire Wijnhaven area. I love that you can choose from a buffet and have a whole plate of warm food for lunch for around 5€, especially since it’s mostly vegetarian! I’m curious what the reviewers here think of other university cafeterias and Albert Heijn, since they are all so much more expensive with worse quality.

Vond dit een fijne flexwerkplek. Goede zitplaatsen met genoeg stopcontacten. Ik snap de negative reviews over de prijzen niet zo goed, ze hebben lekkere broodjes en soepjes voor maar 3,50 per stuk. De setting is zoals een kantine, self service waar je met een dienblaadje je eten en drinken haalt, een plekje zoekt en achteraf zelf je troep weer opruimt. Ideaal om een dagje te zitten werken, er zitten ook veel studenten die alleen of in groepjes aan opdrachten zitten te werken dus je valt zeker niet uit de toon met een laptop.

Great place to slow down and relax a moment. It's basically a canteen, but the people here are chill and the environment is pretty and decent. Most tables have power outlets, so you can work/study here too.

Nu voor de vierde keer bezocht en gegeten, ook met gasten.Via de rondleiding Amare erop geattendeerd. Zeer smakelijk bereid, goed gekruid, mooie keuze's in eerlijke gerechtjes, vriendelijk en behulpzaame keukenbrigade. Gezellige en schone presentatie, uitnodigend en verrassend voordelig. Ruime diverse zitgelegenheid/ werkplekje. Zeker een aanrader om ook hier te bezoeken. ♡
Zeker als je ook weet dat dit projekt een maatschappelijk ondersteunende doelstelling heeft voor- en mét mensen die skills en affiniteit hebben.

This is definitely not a student friendly canteen.
We understand this canteen serves the whole building of Amare but 90% of your regular costumers are students from KC and it’s really difficult to rely on the canteen due to its expensive price, small portions and poor choice.
The staff is great, polite and most of the times very helpful!
1€ for 2 pieces of reporposed fruit and 2,50€ for AH chocolate brodje is outragous.
I would suggest to give a break to your staff and focus on changing the higher positions that want to turn a student cantine in a posh place nobody wants.

Alas, what I did discovereth hath left mine purse in lamentation and mine palate in despair! Verily, this establishment claimeth to be accessible to all, yet priceth their wares as if they were carved from solid gold.

Upon entering, one would expecteth a feast fit for a scholar, but alas, the food offered therein doth not match the lofty claims of grandeur. The fare, though plentiful, lacketh the spark of culinary excellence. Methinks the chefs hath forgotten their most basic of recipes, for the dishes serv'd tasteth neither delightful nor memorable. 'Tis a pitiable sight to behold when a simple loaf of bread or a humble bowl of soup doth not satisfy one's hunger, and yet the price for such modest repasts be exorbitant.

Behold, this student canteen, where the prices doth ascend to lofty heights, leaving students' pockets bereft of coin. Such a plight befalls the scholars who seek solace within its walls, as the golden treasures demanded for sustenance resemble the wealth of kings. Alas, the proprietors seem detached from the struggles of the learned, erecting a fortress of exorbitant prices that separates the famished from their desired repast.

Oh, how I yearn for days of yore, when a modest sum procured a feast fit for gods! Alas, inflation's grip hath tightened upon this canteen, leaving scholars with a burden too heavy to bear. Let it be known, fair scholars, that within these halls, sustenance may be found, but at a price that drains the coffers of those who seek knowledge's embrace. Seek ye other havens where the weight of coinage is lighter, and the value of thy toil is recognized.

Despite the nice staff people working there the food is too expensive, especially for students, and often of very poor quality.

Not student friendly.

"Deze kantine is er voor iedereen"... Dit op jullie website moet toch wel een grap zijn. Belachelijke prijzen voor kleine porties. Deze kantine is absoluut niet geschikt voor studenten die vaak gewoon een simpele hap voor een goedkope prijs nodig hebben. Jullie moeten je diep schamen.

Er werd vrij onaangenaam gesproken tijdens mijn bezoek hier. Luid, snauwend en zelfs scheldend zonder respect naar de gasten. Tafels waren niet schoon en enkele items van het menu waren niet duidelijk aangegeven, ontbraken of was er onjuiste informatie (zeker voor allergieën lijkt mij dit best gevaarlijk).

Erg jammer, hopelijk komt er snel verbetering want voor een locatie als Amare lijkt mij dit toch niet de gewenste situatie en "service".
