Kunstmuseum Den Haag

Fabulous museum, meandering through Kunstmuseum was exciting, almost labyrinth like wonder of exploration. A great place for young and old alike. There is a restaurant/cafe with tasty food. Highly recommended while in The Hague or blessed if you live here.

An eclectic and substantial collection with both breadth and depth. Grand cafe has good food. Tuna sandwich with cucumber was good.

This museum can be accessed by taking a bus or tram from The Hague central station and it’s around 20-25 minutes journey. I enjoyed the peace and quiet as it’s not as busy as other museums in The Hague central. There are in depth explanation about the originals of delft blue and also Asian influence & Asian symbols made from delft blue porcelain pottery. Will definitely recommend others to visit it. The food at the cafe and the staff there was also very friendly!

I went to the Kunstmuseum Den Haag just for the Rebels exhibition, it’s about the clothes in the rebels movement in UK. Really cool 😎 clothes, even the look from Lady Diana. The museum is huge and they have a lot of exhibits there. They have a cafe.

I really love visiting this place. Nice combo of arts, creativity and entertainment for all ages.
Relaxed and not too crowded. Check out the cafe as well, it's a nice space, playfully designed.

The kunstmuseum (art museum) in den Haag has a very unique building. They have a wide range of works shown. The famous Mondrian painting is exhibited here. I’m here for the temporary exhibition of Hilma Af Klint. Very delicate way of using colors. Highly recommend!

Ahhh the museum is so cool. Between the art and the beautiful architecture, I didn’t know which way to turn. I can’t wait to return.

Really incredible exhibition of MC Escher and new works that accompany the old. Nice area for eating. Small shop selling gifts. Really nice place with decent facilities.

A most stunningly attractive museum! The architecture, the art on show - all excellent. Thank you for a few hours of smiles; until 1973 I lived in The Hague and visited with my parents.

The building itself is an experience, beautiful and dense temporary exhibitions, plus a super interesting permanent collection. You will discover some unexpected Mondrian masterpieces ✨

Great museum. It's a must see considering only the architecture of the museum itself. But you will also be pleasantly surprised by the collection and exhibitions! You must go when you're in the Hague for a few days.

We visited this world class museum to view the stunning Hilda af Klint & Piet Mondrian exhibition.

One of my favorite art museums and I have been to many. The M.C. Escher section alone is worth the ticket. You'll see his most famous pieces here. Many great pieces from the past 100 years. Francis Bacon, Constant, Bruce Nauman, etc.

A triumph. Exhibitions are superbly chosen and presented. The rooms are cohesive - they have been painted and sculpted to match each exhibition. The building is magnificent. Oh yes, there is also a rather large collection of Mondrians…

Great art space. Lots of variety. Loved the Egon Schiele, plus a great Van Gogh. 16 euros to enter. Lovely airy gallery spaces the 17 tram goes straight here from the centre of The Hague.

This modern art museum has a large variety of dutch modern art including Mondriaan and MCE. Make sure to download the app before you go in as it provides a lot of rich information.

The art museum has a restaurant in the middle which provides coffee, tea, juice and some light meals including sandwishes. The toileta are generally well maintained and clean and the staff are incredibly friendly and bilingual.

At the bottom is an amazing section for kids to have an interactive experience and learn more about the various exhibitions and art in general. You might want to allow a good hour for this though as there is a lot of moving around, dancing and running from one room to the next.

As for the main exhibits it is really well displayed. The MCE exhibitions specifically is amazing as the displays transports you into the world of shapes, dimensions, lines and spaces.

This is a must see option to provide you with a good balance after viewing various of the other older Dutch paintings and art.

The museum offers also an impressive selection of art from a wide range of artists and movements. From the Dutch Golden Age to contemporary works, the museum's collection is thoughtfully curated and beautifully displayed. Personally I enjoy the architecture of this museum a lot. The building has undergone several renovations over the years, with the most recent one completed in 2021 by the Dutch architects KAAN Architecten. One of the most impressive features of the renovated museum is the new entrance hall, which has been transformed into a light-filled atrium with a soaring glass ceiling. This space provides a stunning introduction to the museum.

A lovely collection and even lovelier staff! The translations were in both Dutch and English and were very informative. The collection was impressive and I loved the art by both the big names and more local artists
