Finally! Bukit Jelutong gets it's own FamilyMart. It's been long awaited and now that it's here, it's truly welcomed.

The store is pretty much like the other FamilyMart convenience stores, with a seating area on the right as you enter. The staples are all here, with their pastries, ready-to-eat items and also other frozen items including seafood tofu, chicken and much more.

The cashier counter I feel is a little smaller than the other stores.

The long awaited Family Mart recently opened in Bukit Jelutong! Spacious, clean, filled with daily stuff, snacks, bread, ice cream and oden. They also have sofa inside, some tables and chairs inside and chairs outside cafe. Very comfortable indeed!

Very popular in this area, clean as well. However obviously seems lacking in manpower and items shelves are already clearing out. No fault on the workers part, but definitely seems like it has a long stay here in Bukit Jelutong Area. Hopefully their management can keep up with the demand.

High Traffic due to the Football field nearby, Schools & Multiple apartments around (So do be patient when there’s a rush hour, especially with all the Hot Foods order) I frequent here often and it seems there’s only about average 4 - 5 workers working during a shift facing the crowds.

PS. It would be great if the management could prepare a ice cream cone holder, as to not waste the workers time holding it. Just a small humble suggestion.

I am Japanese and they are very kind.
It has a good selection and is used frequently.
But, as you can see in the reviews, the waiting time at the cash register is long.
It's a Japanese-style convenience store, so I think it will be better if it is improved.
It's not about being understaffed, management should teach better them how to use the two cash registers.
They're new, they just don't know how to do it.
Based on these, I use this store when I have time to spare.
Overall a very popular and good store.

service is okay shop is clean but the lids of the sofuto and drinks always don't fit and spill 🥲🥲🥲 this applies to other outlets too please fix it

Has improved a lot since it first opened–faster waiting time for food & lots of stock in the fridge. Only complaint is the menu board is not up to date as it displayed taro sofuto but it’s not available anymore & has been replaced by belgian sofuto.

Superb convenience store presented as a high end store in a posh neighbourhood. Enjoyed the soft serves and simple lounge area inside. Just not too happy with the omnipresent smell of oden and the high price tag.

Somehow the famous meme isn’t true at this outlet. They usually have more than 1 staff working, but being new I suppose they’re slower. But what annoys me so much is that their containers and cups run out so fast!! You can’t actually buy the drinks/food on their menu without them. While that might indicate good business but for God’s sake, please order your stocks ahead.

terrible staff. wanted to buy the oden but was ignored for questioning sometime even thought the staff with the glasses and hijab was in front of me, they completely ignored me. and when another female staff came, the cashier finally said the oden was not ready yet. i dont ask for queen treatment, simply acknowledge that i was standing there. and if the staff was busy it wouldnt hurt to say “sekejap eh”. not the first time this happened.

Worse Family Mart ever! Order dry ramen 3396 (prepare by Malay girl) at 615pm today. I add king crab and sausage but only got dry ramen kosong!! Not first time salah order. Chaos behind the counter. Staff rude unfriendly. Ordering system and place to queue are confusing 👎👎👎👎👎

The customer service is good but I keep finding things in the packed food. Last week, I found a hair in the macaroni salad. It was very fine but definitely hair. The cashier let me take another salad so I chose one that was packed on a different day. Then, today I found this piece of metal in the arabiatta fussili. Seems to be a cleanliness problem with the food packing facility.

Multiple visits with very rude staffs. Especially the malay girl. I think you should quit if you cant have good PR with customers. One more funny thing, they only give straws to bobba drinks. They give lame reasons upon request for other drinks. Must totally boycott this branch until changes made.

Definitely the worst Family Mart I've ever been too. Breads are usually one day to expiry or expired. Tables and floor are dirty, there's no oden menu at the counter so customers are looking directly over the oden steamer so hygiene is out. Even the sofuto was already sold out by 9pm or earlier, and the oden and broth was not restocked, customers having to finish what ever that was available, even though this outlet closes at 1am. Only one counter was opened, even though multiple staffs were behind the counter, so the wait was rubbish. Not the first time, happened many times before but I think getting a gastric attack after eating here last night was the last straw, hence this bad review. Family Mart better work on improving service or that would have been my last visit here. CU a few doors away have wayyy better service and hygiene.

Ordered 2 Peach Oolong teas. Waiting time was long but this was expected as this is the usual for this branch, but i was still okay with that. The staff also missed one of my orders, which i was also still okay with, as they promptly fixed it.

What pissed me off the most to the point that I’m writing this review was, upon me asking for straws for my 2 drinks, the staff unashamedly said “There are no straws.” When I pointed out the mountain of straws behind him, he said that those straws “… Are only for bubble milk tea.”

I don’t know who owns this franchise but this was frankly the worst way you can treat your customers. I can understand and empathise busy service and long wait times, but to be so KEDEKUT to your customers to the point of rationing straws is utterly ridiculous. What makes bubble tea buyers so special that you have to treat other customers this way? If you don’t already know your own product, the Oolong tea also has large chewy jelly in the drink that often necessitates a large-mouthed straw.

I’ve bought oolong tea at so many other family marts and this was the first time and place that upset me this way. Shame on this branch and its management.
