Kampung Baru Jamek Masjid

Great local area jame masjid. Has full facilities for men and women. Strong local community there of Malays, who were welcoming and spoke to me whilst I sat on the side after salah. I do not know what the setup is as a tourist friendly site for non-Muslims, so please bear this in mind - like all mosques, the first (and really only) purpose of the premises is for daily five times Muslim worship rather than photo opps and guided tours for tourists.

Masjid with alot of activities. Clean and big. No parking space. Ample space even for muslimah.

This is such a significant landmark in Kampung Baru, KL. It is a place of worship as well as a community centre, that comes alive, especially during the month of Ramadan, when it will be the "go to" mosque for Terawih prayers, as well as its much sought after bubur lambuk!!😋😋😋

I was lucky to be given this rare opportunity to visit today to perform my Zuhur prayer, before going for my meeting at an adjacent office. May this beautiful mosque continue to be preserved, as an iconic mosque to be proud of in Kuala Lumpur..

Spacious, beautiful, clean, big area and peaceful.
Have fountain area where you can also perform ablution.
Neat display cabinet for lost & found items.
Very clean washroom and toilet area.
Nearby many delicious food stalls.
Parking alongside street.

Ramainya Hamba Allah. Every Ramadan, donors will take the opportunity to donate money for food for muslims to break fast. People of all nationalities congregate for the donated food. More often than not, those in the lower income groups, students or even family and single people come to eat during Ramadan. Eating is a community affair.

It has been a very, very long time since I've been here. Probably the last time was when i was in primary school. Got stuck in KL and thought, let's wing it to Kampung Baru. Somehow we got a parking quite easily and we walked the rest of the way to the mosque.

Masjid Jamek Kampung Baru is one of those iconic mosques in the country. It is popular during Ramadan with its bubur lambuk giveaway. Kampung Baru is one of those earlier malay settlements in Kuala Lumpur. Some of the stories trace it back to the 19th century where a few villages agreed to be administered under one roof.

The mosque sure is a far cry from when i last came. It is modern, air conditioned now. Tahfiz students seem to be having sessions here.

One of my top favorite place of worship in KL .. very nostalgic. I worked in Kg.Bahru back in the mid 80's, this mosque was back then old and destitute. It is now very much in line with it's up trend location, offering it's worshippers all the comforts, luxury and functional space much needed to encourage congrational prayers among city dwellers. Thumbs up for the mosque committee members and sponsors 👍👍👍

A big comfortable mosque. The Mens Wudu place are quite unique. The paints are beautiful, the prayer room also has an air conditioner. The toilets are also clean. A good place for pray

The Mosque is located at strategic area. Near Chow Kit market and Al Islam hospital. The interior design is nice. The place is clean. Near cendol durian place.

Calm, comfortable, nicely renovated and very well managed. Easily attracted to spend time here. Very welcoming.

Went for a maghrib prayer. The mosque was spacious, fully air conditioned, carpeted all the way to the ablution area. For women, there are large ablution space, and a special room for prayer clothes, and a medium mirror on the wall to put on your scarves back on after prayer. The space was properly maintained, and calming to the visitors. Highly recommended to come and experience yourself.
