Beautiful mosque in Kuala Lumpur, must respect dress etiquette when visiting but they do have coverings if you need to use. The staff were very welcoming and gave lots of advice. Very calming and relaxing to sit and listen to prayers and very pretty at night when all lit up blue, definitely worth a visit

A mosque kept clean and well maintained. Staffs are all welcoming. The praying area is comfortable and huge. Recommended for everyone to visit. You can pray and then enjoy the art around the mosque. Muslim or non-muslim tourists are also welcomed. Enjoy the calming view here!

Islam is the main religion in Malaysia and they have a national mosque in kuala Lumpur. To get here, I recommend you take a taxi or book a grab. There's no entrance fee but there is a schedule when tourists can enter. This mosque is really large an beautiful. Amazingly it's very peaceful despite it having a lot of people inside

Magnificent building in the city centre. Massive footprint, over 70 metres high minaret and vast gardens surrounding the mosque itself. Was lucky i was there within the opening hours for non-muslim which was 9.30-12.30 ( also accessible for 2 hours later in the afternoon). Designated entrance, online check in, racks to leave your footwear and a changing station if you've arrived wearing shorts etc. Beautiful grounds, plenty of greenery, trees, palm trees and water features. Very opulent interior with an efficient air conditioning. 2 minutes walk from Kuala Lumpur train station, 3 minutes from the metro, 5 minutes form Chinese Market and 7 minutes from Chinatown. Highly recommended place to visit.

I am surprised to seeing the mosque. Had attend jumma prayers.
It was established in 1965.
Huge complex and heard that 15,000 worshipper can perform salah at a time.
Very nice design and Calligraphy. Women can also offer salah in separete arrangement. Infront of the mosque there are water fountains and some trees.
There are a small Museum showing history of mosque and architectural layout.

The National Mosque of Malaysia, or Masjid Negara, is a stunning symbol of Malaysia’s independence and Islamic heritage. It can accommodate up to 15,000 worshippers and features a 73-meter-high minaret and a 16-pointed star dome. The mosque is surrounded by lush gardens and fountains, and offers a panoramic view of the city skyline. The mosque is also a cultural hub, hosting various events and festivals throughout the year. The National Mosque of Malaysia is a must-visit for anyone who wants to witness the beauty and diversity of Malaysia’s religious and architectural traditions1

The National Mosque Kaula Lampur Malaysia is fantastic—from the serene setting to the magnificent view of the mosque. Before dusk, non-Muslims are welcome to visit, and girls wearing shorts or less-covered clothing must put on a covered garment given to them by the administrative team in order to enter the mosque.

The National Mosque of Malaysia, also known as Masjid Negara, is a remarkable architectural and cultural gem. Visiting this mosque was an enriching experience. The stunning modernist design, with its striking blue and green tiles, is a sight to behold. The grand prayer hall is spacious and serene, allowing for a tranquil visit.

What truly stood out was the peaceful atmosphere and the welcoming attitude of the staff. Visitors of all backgrounds are made to feel comfortable and encouraged to learn about Islam and Malaysian culture. The mosque also offers informative tours that provide insights into its history and significance.

One can't help but appreciate the blend of tradition and modernity at the National Mosque. Whether you're seeking spiritual contemplation or simply admiring the architecture, it's a must-visit landmark in Kuala Lumpur.

There are separate visiting hours for non-Muslims. Please do not try to come while they are in the middle of prayer. Women will have to cover-up in the provided robes--don't forget the hood for your hair! Men who have their shoulders and knees covered will not have to robe-up. If you're wearing shorts but your shoulders are not exposed then they have sarongs for you to wrap around your legs.

This mosque was built to accommodate the large and ever-growing Muslim population. It's much bigger than the other mosques and can hold many more worshippers. The tombs have been closed to the public due to a TikToker being inappropriate. I found the grounds to be quite beautiful and was honored to have been able to visit. Please be respectful so that we can continue to share in these places with other humans.

Kuala Lumpur's largest national mosque. Be sure to go in at least once. Inside Entry is only allowed during designated times. On Fridays, you can enter inside only from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and on the other days of the week, you can enter inside from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

This is a must visit in KL. One of the best mosque experiences. If you don’t have long pants they will provide a robe free of charge. Place is self guided and a quick visit. Plenty of photo ops too

Beautiful Mosque. The most beautiful thing is that they allow tourist of any religion to enter the mosque. If women and men do not have proper islamic dress code they provide temporary cloths.

Wonderful Mosque.... Amazing infrastructure.... immaculate....

Peaceful.... The visitors are advised to follow the rules in place... Like no shorts for men, head cover for women...etc.

The office at the entrance provides these if necessary... nice experience...

This mosque is specifically designed as a "national mosque" for Malaysia and can be quite obvious from its location near the Parliament and Perdana Botanical Gardens. Fitting with its status, its main prayer hall is expansive and is supported with large supporting halls on the outside for peak times, especially for Friday prayers.

However, one of the problem is actually accessing the mosque. Although it is visible from the Pasar Seni MRT/LRT station and the Kuala Lumpur KTM station, access is tough with almost 1km worth of walking from the MRT/LRT station as the skywalks zigzag to weave through the Klang River, the KTM station, and the road in front of the mosque. However, the entire path is covered so it is quite comfortable.

Visiting the National Mosque of Malaysia, Masjid Negara, was a remarkable experience. This iconic landmark in Kuala Lumpur beckons travelers with its stunning Islamic architecture and spiritual ambiance.

Upon arrival, the mosque's grandeur took my breath away. The unique design elements and the towering minaret are a testament to Malaysian craftsmanship. Visitors are required to dress modestly, but the mosque provides robes for those in need.

Inside, the vast prayer hall exudes serenity. The beautiful, intricate patterns on the walls and the massive blue and green dome are awe-inspiring. Taking a guided tour deepened my understanding of Islamic culture and the mosque's significance.

Whether you're a history enthusiast or seeking a moment of tranquility, a visit to Masjid Negara is a must. It's a harmonious blend of architectural beauty and spiritual reflection, offering a glimpse into Malaysia's Islamic heritage.

We went for Jumuah while in KL. The architecture and design is just beautiful. And it's huge! One of the biggest mosques I've been to.
