Normal secondary school,student's toilet is too dirty,use all school financial to build a useless statues.

Having spent my formative years in Sam Tet Secondary, I can only describe my experience there in a brutally honest manner. While the school may have had a reputation for being good in the past, recent years have seen a steady decline in its quality, largely due to the departure of the school's best teachers who have either retired or are on the verge of retiring.

One of the main issues plaguing the school is the mismanagement of funds, where the school decided to spend all its funding on erecting useless statues and beautifying a pond that students rarely have access to due to an overly, unnecessary strict set of rules imposed on the students, depriving them of their freedom, rights and satisfaction that should be given to every student. This, in turn, has also deprived the students of much-needed resources, such as upgraded science labs that have remained unchanged since the 2000s, and even basic amenities like functional toilets with locks. Another issue I would nitpick on is the lack of emphasis on computer related skills, which is crucial for students upon entering colleges or universities in this digital age.

During my time at Sam Tet Secondary, I loathed the overly competitive atmosphere that permeated the school. Despite being in the top 2 classes, I found no joy in studying due to this suffocating environment. The sense of social hierarchy was rigid and oppressive, further exacerbating the negative atmosphere. It is disheartening to note that the school failed to create a conducive learning environment where students could thrive and enjoy their educational journey.

Moreover, the school clubs, once known for their excellence and participation in state and national events, have taken a massive hit in recent years. The departure of experienced seniors, coupled with the inability of juniors to learn from their predecessors due to the COVID-19 pandemic, has rendered the clubs dysfunctional and unworthy of joining. Additionally, a recent scandal involving the dominance of a single "teacher" controlling most of the music-related clubs has further stifled students' overall satisfaction and enjoyment of extracurricular activities.

In conclusion, Sam Tet Secondary is a shadow of its former self. While it may still bask in its past glory, it is evident that the school is in decline. Unless you prioritize academic performance above all else, sending your children here may result in their happiness being compromised. As someone who has experienced different styles of education in foreign nations, I urge you to take this information with a grain of salt and consider alternative options that prioritize your child's overall well-being and satisfaction.
