Nice nyonya restaurant.
Of all the things we ordered, I enjoyed the kangkung, omelette and whole fish 🐟. The sautéed sliced fish became a bit too hard for me.

Friendly lady helped us throughout.

Good attentive service, friendly staffs and they recommend dishes you want to try. Its a mixture of Nyonya and local Malaysian cuisine. Recommend to make booking before you arrive.
The basil chicken dish was flavourful. Pandan chicken was moist and mango kerabu with fried anchovies was tasty and so was the omelette. Tofu was good. Petai sambal did not give kick of sambal. Vegetable was like okay okay. Taste of vegetable soup (only romaine lettuce) was not to my expectation. Chrysanthemum tea was well brewed.
Finding a parking spot is sometimes difficult around the area.

Had lunch here today and loved it.
The staffs were friendly and attentive.
Baby Kailan w salted fish, Prawn Petai Sambal and Mango Kerabu was great. Especially the Mango Kerabu was like ones I’ve tried in Thailand.
Caramel custard was also nice.
It was bit hard to get parking.

This place brings out the nyonya in me, it has this homey vibe that makes the food feel straight out of your kitchen made by your mother. The food here is substantial and a blast into the past, the freshness of the seafood like the prawn and squid fuses with the sauce to create the perfect blend of flavor and spice, the fried chicken here is a bit pricey but it’s worth the price, the crispiness is unlike no other fried chicken in the area, definitely a must try 🍗

When you have a name like "Yum Yum", there's a higher level of expectation and they do live up to it here. When we entered at 6.15pm on a Saturday, it was packed but luckily they have seating one level up too. We had been eating nonstop all over town so we didn't order too much. What we did order were the gulai tumis (fish curry), pandan chicken, kangkung with belacan, yum yum fried tofu and an egg fuyong for a party of six. The fish curry was the highlight - not too spicy or overpowering. We went for two fillets about 200gm+ each. Kids loved the pandan chicken so much that we had to add more. Good attentive service and we didn't wait too long for our food to arrive.

Very hospitable and friendly staffs and they would be able to recommend dishes you want to try. Overall very nice foods that we tried. The prawn and ladies finger are good. Sweet sour sliced fish is ok.

Very cosy and comfortable place to dine. Would recommend making booking if you can.

Our 1st time visiting IPOH and we are lucky to have discovered this fantastic restaurant. The food is so delicious and flavourful 😋 The sedap sambal ladies finger and fresh fish head curry are the best I ever had so far 🏆All the flavours were spot on 👍🏻 Service is friendly and prompt. Nice environment. Reasonable prices. We came here on 30 July 2023. We will come here again when in IPOH 👏🏻👏🏻

A hidden germ in Ipoh town. Reasonable price, good service, authentic taste. The only regret is the Kelabu Mango dish was unavailable that time.Highly recommend 👍🏻

I have been here 4 times over the last decade and every time I am impressed with the quality and flavours. This time all three dishes were great (Karabu mango salad, squid with pinapple and beansprouts with salted fish) and the bill was less than rm70 with a beer!

Was invited here for lunch by an old school friend. She was a regular here before migration overseas. Now back for holidays. Pleasantly surprised as being an Ipoh person, didn't noticed this place earlier. A nice cozy place with many old customers, especially elderly uncles and aunties. Most of them seem to have patronised this place for a number of years.

The food have a home-cooked feel and taste to it. Throughly enjoyed the Thai Kerabu mango, and the steamed taufu with chopped preserved vegetable, as well as the sambal ladies finger. The other dishes were nice and simple. One friend asked for their freshly pounded sambal which was absolutely delicious... can even eat a bowl of white rice with it. Overall, a wonderful lunch.

Recommended by mother's uncle(longtime patron) and the food is great. Standout food in my opinion was the pandan chicken. Moist and tender well marinated chicken. Assam Sambal Petai Prawn was good as well. Thai Kerabu starter was sweet and sour in harmony. Mang Kuang Char with lettuce was nice too.

Friday lunch only special Siamese Laksa with desert of the day was quite good as well.

Would come back again if back in Ipoh for relative visitation.

Cozy family run restaurant. bookings are a must for the weekend dinner rush. Just had some simple favourites (lots more on their menu) and everything was delicious. Good service as well.

My first night in ipoh and this food surpassed expectations. Not all dishes worked, but the tauge, fried aubergine chips and fish head were sublime. Lovely surroundings and ambience, great service, if slightly bemused that just 2 people ordered do much.
