Look no further , but 1919 Restaurant, if you want fusion nyonya food in Ipoh. Our overseas guests enjoyed very much and amazed with the entree which is the star of the night. Very well arranged menu specially for us. Everyone loves the ambience and delighted with not just the delicious dishes but good service too.

Good food in a beautiful place. Some antique display around the restaurant with mixed Chinese and Thai influence. And it goes into the food cooking style. Thai salad, taufo, fried brinjal are good. Service is good.

We booked for a meal at 1919 recently and when we arrived, I happened to mention to Iris that my Uncle is a wheelchair user, she immediately changed our table to make it an easy access for my Uncle without any hesitation. Meal was scrumptious and the place had a wonderful atmosphere.
When we were leaving, two male staff members quietly helped my Uncle in his wheelchair down the steps, got him into the car and folded the wheelchair and put it into the boot of the car too.
Such exceptional service and attention to detail has to be praised and made the whole experience a joy. Thank you so much 1919 for making our evening a night to remember and my Aunt was highly impressed too. I highly recommend this restaurant with no hesitation and will return to have my meal again once I’m back to Malaysia again. Thanks again Iris & team.

I'm highly satisfied with the experience. The establishment is Muslim-friendly, offers delicious food, and provides fast and friendly service. The unique variety of dishes adds to the positive experience. I would give it an 8.7/10.

Very delicious food. For the first time in my life, the food came within 15mins in a Chinese restaurant. Very reasonable price.

Had a delicious, good value meal at 1919 during our travels. A decent amount of vegetarian options and the food was tasty. Though one sauce we ordered wasn’t the right one, it was tasty nevertheless. The staff were highly attentive and friendly and the place was very busy and rightfully so!

We enjoyed our dinner here, right after CNY. We arrived just before 6pm and found a table easily.

Clean atmosphere, the restaurant is not as big as most other restaurants so not as loud. Good attentive service.

We ordered 5 dishes amongst the 3 of us and bill came up to $176 ($58 each). The serving size is reasonable.

Food taste was excellent, all 5 dishes so tasty. I highly recommend the Philippines Eggplant (fried aubergine), King Sauce Chicken with onion and Deep Fried Tofu with Thai Sauce. We also had the Venison in Ginger sauce and Chinese Spinach with Century Egg, which were both really nice too.

Really surprised by the quality of the dishes and food. We ordered a wide range or the menu and nothing disappointed.

Interior decorations and seating was comfortable and gave a nice atmosphere to dine.

My first time here. Food was really good and the staff were attentive and cordial. There may have been a slight delay in serving the food but that may be because of the high volume of customers. Nevertheless, we weren’t in any hurry and the food was well worth the wait.

The food and ambience is superb. Really top notch food quality and service. The fish, egg plant, Signature tou fu, salted egg fried chicken is a must must try. The lady boss is also very nice and accommodating. We had no booking but she managed to give us a table since we travel from far away.

It was so good. I am visiting from New York and was blown away on how delicious the food was. Not only was it fragrant but also once I bite the food it melted in my mouth. The service is fast. The staff speaks multiple languages which is helpful for travelers like me.

A good zhi char place to gather family & friends for lunch or dinner.
The food was dish out pretty fast & quick after we have ordered. All items were very well balanced with flavour and tasty, the restaurant is nicely decorated. A good dining place to bring your guest & friends for a treat. Recommended 👍

Come down from Cameron trip, found out a great Chinese cuisine dinner at 1919. Friendly staff and great ambience. Must try their fried eggplant and signature tofu 👍🏻 The Vietnam style fish is delectable 😋 Do expect longer waiting time when is packed, it is understandable. Definitely will come back again 😁

Being coming to this Restaurant since 2000… they we are at the end of the building until they shifted to the lot next door. They are very consistent. My favourites are the silky smooth melt in the mouth blackpepper venison, crispy fried egg plants, tofu & fish.

Pros: Friendly staff. Excellent & really tasty foods. Comfortable environment.

Highly recommended!

Cons: Hmmmm… no cons. If there are - I won’t be coming here since 2000.

The lady boss is very hot. She was very nice. Although she was very busy, she made sure me and my family were okay and happy with everything! The food was so good! I’m from New York so it was out of this world. The restaurant itself is nice as well as the bathrooms are very clean and doesn’t smell. The staff always make sure to quickly get our food to our table. The parking is hard to find because the place is so popular.

Ahhh, one of the best places to eat in Ipoh. Excellent service and food. I have discovered the egg plant fries there, which are amazing 👏 😋

Their food are amazing. Lucky me and my friend come before CNY. We got chance to see a live band with violin. I m will repeat again!
