Love the concept of this restaurant where you queue, order, wait at the counter while the Abang cooks in front of you and take your own food to the table. This genius move saves lots of energy of the service crew to handle and entertain different customer behaviours. There was definitely a line, but the whole process did not take long. Besides, food quality is great. All the roti we had were fluffy and tasted like how it should be. 3 roti canai, 2 roti telur and 1 roti planta only cost RM9.60 - which I think is very affordable.

Having breakfast here.As many have said, very cheap here which is good for students. Event though, its taste great. Parking is difficult here,the best way is walking. Unless you are staff and have the parking sticker. Still, walking is interesting. Plenty space for eating. Fast services.

The atmosphere is quite peaceful along with students go in and out the cafe. Reminded me to the old time a decade ago. The difference is that the previous Subaidah cafe is at the back of Dewan Budaya, now is infront of Post Office / Dewan Tunku Syed Putra (DTSP).

The price is reasonable.

P/s : I came alone but then got this pretty Chinese student explained to me which and which food is deliciousss.. haha mouth watering. The Maggi Goreng I could see is quite tempting & many ordered that.

Superior environment which can view the USM scenery. Price is reasonable. Have various choices of dishes.

Standard mamak but student price!

Very good. Subaidah is located in front of IPS office. We can order nasi kandar, mie goreng, nasi goreng, kwe ti yaw, roti john dan others in here. The taste is so delicious. Very crowded in lunch time. But no long time to wait. Nice. 👍

1. Ah Neh (the Indian uncle) working at Nasi Kandar is very nice. Although sometime he will put fried chicken for you without your permission, but he will remember your favorite dishes and preference after you visits for several times.

2. Anything regarding Maggi Mee (a brand of Instant Noodle) is a must try.

3. Teh Ais, Teh Halia or Teh Limau is not bad too. Just remind the Ah Neh you want "kurang Manis (less sugar)" if you're not fond to their sweetness.

4. Very cheap and affordable delicious meal option you'll find in the entire USM. Their food is much more cheaper than the Subaidah outside USM.

5. Environment wasn't the best, it's semi outdoor and not in a closed area. Will be damn hot in sunny day, and need to watch out for flies. There are second floor and you can see the street in USM there, it's quite a view and sighting there especially at night.

Overall: You are not valid for the title of USM students, if you haven't been to there before.

Cheapest Subaidah I would say. Roti canai RM 1 per piece, no longer can find elsewhere. Staffs are friendly too.

Subaidah USM is life-saver. Staffs very friendly and prices are cheaper than other branches outside USM. (No more roti canai selling at RM1 per piece nowadays (to date 22-april-2023) and yet they are selling it for rm1 per piece here!)

Large portion of food, many food choices, reasonable price for student

For students, lecturers, visitors to have a meal at a non air-conditioned place for Reasonable price Nasi Kandar, variety of Thosai / Dosa, variety of Roti Canai, variety of Drinks.. Closes at 8.30pm

The best food in usm that had completed my lunch and dinner time when I don't have other choice. The price was reasonable and affortable for students compared to the price outside. Should try out their tosei planta at the morning and of course the nasi kandar with their fried chicken.

It's a really great place. You can get really delicious food at a very very low price. And they have a good variety of food too.But you have to stand for sometimes. But its worth it. I really recommend this place.
