Steven's Char Kuay Teow

This a must try CKT for all CKT lovers and connoisseurs. I have tried many CKTs in Klang Valley, but this is the nearest in terms of taste, flavour, and style to Penang famous CKT up North. The CKT is being prepared with passion and not simply dumped onto the plate and served.

Heard it is a popular char koay teow stall in this kopitiam but never had the chance to try.
It really deserves to be rated as one of best CKT in town. Even by looking at it, you can guess it would be delicious. Had all the must have ingredients for CKT. The bean sprouts were crunchy and the CKT not too oily. Spiciness is as per customers request and I asked for extra chili. I also cannot resist trying the fried tang hoon. Yummy! Ingredients slightly different from CKT...no chinese sausages and cockles, not sure why though. I always prefer fried tang hoon but both
were equally delicious here. A 'die die must try' and of course you need to wait a bit like for any other delicious food.

Very good CKT especially they have duck's egg, which is very hard to find even in Penang. There's good wokhey so you'll get great flavour.
They also provide small cockles. I particularly like their sausage which is great for ckt. Many places are using lousy lapcheong but not here.

Steven is a hands on and a hardworking cook. You can see his passion by the level of his efforts and commitment he put in.
His Char Kway Teow is very yummy, especially with duck eggs.
He personally ensures and maintains cleanliness level at tip top condition before he off from work.

The best Char Kueh Teow in Malaysia! Consistent and the wok skill and heat is top notch! A MUST try!

Always enjoy the fried kuay teow. Located inside nam chuen kopitiam. Fried with a nice "wok hei" and flavourful. Usually will have to wait at least 15mins as there is a lot of orders.

I always order the CKT here...

Coming from a penangite, this CKT is pretty decent. Definitely worth a try.

Wok hei is enough and quite additive with extra spicy order.

Quite a good Char Kuay Tiew in town.

Good but too spicy. You must inform the uncle less spicy if you can't take spicy food. I had better but this is not bad. You may try it once so you can make comparisons.

Very average CKT. Not very flavourful. Can’t get the wok hei taste from this. Portion size is pretty big for the price. Service was fast. Don’t think I’ll be coming back again.

The worst CKT i've ever tasted. I dont know how to explain... It was just bad. I love CKT in General but this was just terrible!! Plus they are quite rude!!
