It was not an easy hike.

I was here with my friends and the car park have ample space for parking.

Took about 1 hour plus to reach the viewpoint.

It was a beautiful and scenic view of Ipoh town.

There's even a mini waterfall if hike through the trails.

Definitely worth a visit for any first-timers here

I went around 8am on Saturday morning, the parking which can accommodate 100 cars almost full. This was my first climb to Kledang hill. The trail to RTM was tough, long stretch of sharp ascent.
The trail were open and well marked. Thaks to those who maintaining the trail.

It was raining slightly but seeing the view was worth it 👍🏻 with the blue cloudy view, it was as if we were up above. Better to reach up there before 9am as the sun starts to blaze.

Get physical with the highest hiking hill in Ipoh.

The Good:
1) Standing at 800m above sea level, it's one of the best physical activities you can do in Ipoh. They got 2 type of hiking trails; offroad & tar/asphalt. The trails length is estimated around 7.5km from entrance below to hilltop (there's a TM antenna towers above), which you'll spend around 2½ to 3 hours by feet, from entrance to hilltop, and back to the entrance.
2) If you are not capable of doing full trip hiking, there are few middle checkpoints. One of them is has one of the most scenic view of Ipoh, & perfect to view sunrise too.
2) Free entrance.
3) Tons of parking spaces.
4) Usually there are a small drink vendors near the entrance. Great option if you wanna relieve yourselves after a long and tiring hiking.
5) No problem if you wanna hike alone, even in dark 4am-5am, because there are groups of people already doing tai chi or aerobic exercises along the hiking trail.
6) You can also cycle to the top through the asphalt trail.

The Bad:
1) They have public restroom, but man, it's gross.
2) Umobile has bad reception on the hill.

Bukit Kledang is the best place for mountain hiking or jogging in the mornings. The morning atmosphere is refreshing and natural, with beautiful gardens. Once you reach halfway above the mountains you are able to get a full view of Ipoh, seeing the entire city, which is spectacular.

Free parking. Toilet at 2 locations, 1.5km and 2km from the parking. There's few huts for shelter or rest along the way. Very good place for a run, jog or walk. It's tarred road all the way to the peak with some selections of trails if you are looking for more challenges. Come early for a nice sunrise view over Ipoh city and you can finished your workout with some fresh coconut water or some fruits at the parking area where some small vendors are selling theirs trades.

Come earlier, like 6. Avoid public holiday. Well preserved hill with clean stream. Strap down your phone, avoid using it until you get to the designated resting point, or stand a risk of getting snatched by wild monkeys.

It was a fun trip, total 10000+steps if you continue until top. Beautiful place, nature everywhere, small insect challenge you to find them, overall it's a awesome place if you want to release your stress, also bring your family along it's more fun with everyone.

Hiking spot. Wonderful!! Sunrise is good here.

Unfortunately, you need a car to get here.
The parking space is plenty.
Get there by 6.45am to secure a better parking space.

No worries of getting lost as the pathway are clear and you will not be out of course.

Be sure to explore the last staircase going up the summit. I almost missed it (too tired to go up another around 20 steps), however, I did it and sunrise view was spectacular.

Wish to come here every weekend.

Nice place for hiking. Go up via 4.9 route until mid point meeting the tarmac road, then go down that road until Viewing point. Then go down via 4.2 trail back to parking.

Good view of ipoh town when you are here in the morning and evening! The mist will rise from the town area if you see the town from higher elevation area before sunrise. The paths are paved roads, easy for kids to walk.

There is a secret place where you can have the view of the whole ipoh! You can choose either the mountain road, stairs or bitumen road to reach the peak. Nice place to hike but need to beware of motorcyclist and snakes.
