Sinalau Bakas (smoked wild boar) stalls

Bbq pork is one of the wonder's of the world, they said.

Located beside St.Paul signboard. I went here around 28/12/23. And I really enjoyed it. You can dine in or take away.

Do make sure to choose a good ratio of fat and meat. A rib lover? Take the ribs. You can also choose how you want them to cut the meat.

The meat was juicy and not dry. The taste was a bit like good old bbq pork. But the bbq wildboar has that snapback taste to it.

The price was reasonable, total = RM45 (2023) but it was alot. Took away the rest.

Do give it a try when you're in the area.

I tried boar meat for the first time. More character than typical domestic pork. When cooked right, wonderfully succulent with a slight chew. they grilled perfectly, wonderfully succulent with a slight chew. Marinate well to temper its earthiness. An adventurous, meaty experience connecting you to nature’s bounty.

Stall D !!! Best stall in this spot, friendly owner. Loads of beers to choose to go along with the Sinalau Bakas.

Must stop for tourist and locals to taste Sabah special "Sinalau Bakas" also know as smoke wild boar. There are several stalls selling this at the road side. Just choose from whichever stall you fancy. If you can't decide you can try one of my favourites which is stall "G" the first stall on your right if your facing the stalls.

Tasty Sinalau Bakas - smoked wild boar - cooked on the spot and you can even eat at the sitting area at the back facing the magnificent Mount Kinabalu. You can order rice or fried egg as accompaniment with your smoke wild boar as well as drinks including can beer for those who fancy a bit of alcohol with your smoke BBQ wild boar.

Get the full Kundasang experience. Smoked wild boar and local social drink. Prices are reasonable and the people are friendly. Great place for a pitstop to get someting light to bite and something to drink. Come with the right expectations and you will have a good time.

Stall C is the best! Service is top notch. Price is super reasonable. The meat is not as gamy as I expected. Really flavourful. Best to have them with beer.

Favorite place to stop and eat some delicious smoked wild boar. I would recommend you to try wrapped rice (linopot).

We have tried few stalls and at the end we came back to this stall because is really the best among them. Highly recommended this specific 1

Must try if your stomach is strong, as how they handle the meat is not exactly hygeinic... but personally we loved the gamey taste of the meat.

Great authentic Sinalau Bakas. Definitely worth a visit if your passing by or even make a trip there just for the Smokey Sinalau Bakas. Sit at the back bring Stall "G" and be greeted by the view of Mount KK as you sit and eat your freshly Grilled Sinalau Bakas.

There is whole stretch of stall. We patrons stall c. The pork is smoke on top while waiting for you to choose. Once chosen, they cut into thin slice and put on marinate, salt and start BBQ. You can have purple rice with it or just eat the meat. Very nice smoke flavor and salty touch. Pork meat in Sabah is not allowed to bring into other places (peninsula) due to swine flu.

To anyone who LOVE pork 😍 this place is the one for you!! Traditional sabah barbecue style, the best there is. I could go a hundred times and still wont get bored of the delicacy, the place is cold but not to cold so you can eat like its winter. Its a bit pricey but with a pork like tht, worth every penny.

They smoke pork is one of the best on the town.

We have tried 2 stores but still feel this store is the best!
The meat is juicy and they grill it nicely.
For those who do not really eat fatty meat, you could request them to pick those less fatty parts.
