Top notch hotel. Great hospitality from the get-go at arrival. The room is spacious with an ocean view and awesome sunset just from your balcony while soaking in the jacuzzi.
Great leisure walk around the resort, awesome restaurant and food options within the resort.

Simply had the most perfect holiday with our baby. It was our first family holiday and the hotel was amazing - we couldn't wish for a better place. Elisabeth and Suryana both stole our hearts. Service is impeccable, rooms were excellent (family suite), food is great, SPA was amazing, activities were so much fun and the overall service was excellent. I was a little hesitant as I did see some negative reviews but we experienced none of that. Absolutely recommend your stay here!

Our recent stay at this resort was nothing short of exceptional. The resort is beautiful and well maintained.

The rooms were impeccably clean and tastefully decorated. The food served at the resort's restaurant was delicious, offering a variety of options to suit every palate.

The hospitality provided was truly top-notch; every member of the staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction throughout our stay.

One of the highlights of our stay was the upgrade we received, which added an extra touch of luxury to our experience.

Beautiful resort with excellent service. Kids and adults loved the pool which is the perfect temperature for swimming. We also loved the beach and the gorgeous sunsets! Huge variety of food for breakfast with options to suit everyone. Would definitely recommend this resort for a family holiday, our 10, 15 & 17 year old kids loved it. We had interconnecting rooms which suited us well with plenty of room for everyone.

Beautiful resort on the coast of Sabah. I got a huge room, clean and in very good condition with nice view on the swimming pool. Service is very friendly. The hotel offer different choice of restaurant and if you go to the buffet be ready to get fat :) , there is so much food and its so attractive.
The gym is quite nice and I could train there few times quietly.
I recommend the morning sunrise hike, easy for everyone and you get the magic of the nature when all birds wake up while the sun is going out.

Staff were super friendly, helpful and fun to interact with. Lots of events too, but quite an amount have to be paid for at your expected "tourist price". The breakfast buffet is AMAZING though, huge spread.

Atmosphere is really good too to have a relaxing holiday, swimming pool was spacious and comfortable to use. Beachside was quite a distance to walk, but it was very spacious too and not too busy.

The only drawback was the incredibly large amount of sand flies. I came back looking like I had chicken pox. The staff told me that it was maybe because of the fruit season and honestly I don't think they could've done anything anyway, perhaps it was bad timing of my stay. Overall, good stay!

Great secluded and peaceful location. Resort is well maintained with amazing plantations and gardens (own Dschungle with hiking trails).

Great for families as there are plenty of activities for kids and adults. Still, resort and beach are so big that if one wants to be alone, that’s easily possible.

A beautiful beach resort in a quiet, secluded location. Loved the beach, almost 3kms of it as well as the nature reserve that’s part of the property. There are enough activities such as water sports, nature walks, horse riding, cycling, golf, trekking, as well as games rooms that you won’t need to leave the resort and can spend your whole time there. Really enjoyed our stay, the beach, breakfast was scrumptious, morning trek to see the sunrise, the sunsets on the beach, as well as the swimming pools.

It was a thoroughly relaxing experience to stay at this place. They have their own private beach and a nature reserve right at the premise itself. Also, the pool is nice and family friendly.

Staff are professional and very helpful. We enjoy the breakfast selection as well. Nice spread of food avail but, some hit and miss in terms of flavour. We have the suite so, room is spacious and the amenities are what you come to expect.

Location wise, it is abt 1.5hr or so away from KK town so, be prepared to travel. However, you're away from the hustle and bustle from the city and in for a relaxing treat.

Rooms are Clean, Calm, Quiet. Foods are nice for breakfast. Should try noodles served at the outside service table.
Nice pools with life guard.
Kind employees are welcoming you with smile. Quick response for the requirements like additional towels.
The only demerit is this resort is far away from Sutera Harbor area. Takes at least an hour to go to city.
It has a nice clean beach where you can enjoy beautiful Sunset.

Fabulous resort,….we spent six nights here and loved it from start to finish. Staff are amazing. Lim is the perfect guide on the jungle canopy walk and for poolside service Isaac is the best. Food great, the fire dance spectacular all in all just wonderful.

This place is spectacular. I highly recommend the oceana restaurant. The waiter there went above and beyond to make our stay and our experience at dinner alone worth a five star review! The food is delectable and he gifted us desserts and drinks that might have been worth as much as our meal! The location is far out of town but once you’re there you don’t want to leave. There is sooo much to do and see. Exceptional place for the whole family.

Excellent stay and couldn't have asked for a better place. Have stayed in a couple hotel resorts ard Malaysia and this is probably among my top 2. While the resort is probably not the newest around, it is extremely well maintained. Breakfast in Oceano is great (semi buffet semi ala carte). Numerous free activities for the children throughout the day. Housekeeping did a great job as well and services are quick and attentive. To top it all up, we got a free room upgrade from garden wing to ocean wing; always a nice touch. Will definitely return in future

Our second time staying here. We choose to come back as both of my kids love this hotel so much. And they loved it even more after joining the kids' party. You can enjoy beach with your family, swimming in the pool, enjoying the nature, kids can have fun in the cool zone while parents can go karaoke and so much more.

Just spent 5 nights here and agree totally with what other guest have said. It has a luxury feel to it,and guests are made to feel like kings for the time they are there. All staff go out of their way to befriend and serve you,and nothing is too much trouble. None more so than restaurant manager Vian, who was faultless in his dealings with us guests, yet so humble in his application and approach! Best hotel stay we've had by some distance.

This is a beautiful hotel with a large setup and facilities. Although heavily booked, it does not feel overly packed with no "grab the sunbeds" behaviours by the guests. The staff are exceptionally polite and service is very good. Personally. I would like to visit again with more family. There are plenty of activities like discovery hikes, biking trips, water sports and fishing for grown ups and children.
The sand is very fine and powdery making the beach walk experience soothing and memorable.
Sounds from the nearby forest at dawn and as evening approaches are simply wonderful for a nature lover.
The building of the Garden Wing, where I stayed, is slightly dated but reasonably well maintained.
You won't be disappointed coming here.

Having previously visited Rasa Ria way back in 1999, my expectations were fairly high – and all were met or exceeded.

From the moment of arrival and check-in to check-out [two weeks later] we could not have been more pleased and impressed.

Testament to Rasa Ria’s success would have to be its staff – from concierge/reception to F&B to security to the pool to housekeeping – every person we encountered at Rasa Ria was friendly, professional, kind, helpful and accommodating. They clearly take great pride in the hotel and their respective roles there, which is a huge factor in a guest’s subsequent level of enjoyment, relaxation and appreciation.

A stay at Rasa Ria is not cheap, but food and drink is reasonably priced, and I’d have to say still worth every penny. Beautifully staffed and run, it’s very difficult to find fault.

We stayed over the busy Lunar New Year Period, which saw the hotel at full occupancy. The staff, while not overwhelmed, were clearly under pressure for several days due to the demands and sheer volume of guests. This in no way reflects on the staff's capabilities or integrity, but the resort could consider engaging additional staffing resources over this period. That said, as undemanding customers, we appreciated the lengths the resort staff went to to ensure we weren’t overlooked and that service in no way flagged, and I commend the staff for remaining cheerful, efficient and resolute throughout.

Rasa Ria staff were exceptional throughout our stay, they out of their way to make us feel even more welcome, respected and extremely well looked after, and we left not just as guests, but as friends to many.

If you’re considering staying at Rasa Ria, I would not hesitate to recommend it highly as an exceptionally well-oiled hotel experience.

Sometimes you need to leave the herd to find yourself and I did just that in at Ocean Wing Rasa Ria...So quiet you constantly hear the birds or the ocean, a natural symphony of the sounds of nature. A variety of family activities the jungle trekking and the river cruise to watch sunset on a sand bar followed by fire flies...different themed buffets daily ...loved the Strollers soulful renditions of some songs I have not heard in awhile....beds turned down with a folklore for me to read before I sleep ...fantastic service and finally the farewell song brought tears to my eyes ...I will return again as I missed the Night Market at Tuaran , burnt coconut water and Mount Kinabalu Park or scale the mountain I daresay for an encore. It was a rough year but this family holiday was the balm to my soul
