It's one of the oldest mosques in Kuala Lumpur, built in 1909. It's a place of Muslims worship but it's open for tourists too.

The location of the mosque is very nice, at the confluence of two rivers, gives a very pleasing view. Moreover, the architecture is very good, giving old islamic culture vibes.

The mosque is very large with a lot of place to pray and a small garden too.

For short dresses, you need to cover yourself up. I believe that veils type long dresses are available free of cost at the gate which you return on leaving.

For me, it was a good spiritual hour while I sat and prayed there.

The place are jot very crowded, very chill. The old man was very nice. He introduced a lot about this mosque and let us take photos everywhere. This place is very nice, no ticket, and staff was super nice to me as well. I recommend to visit this mosque because it's near so many food places and also easy to commute to other locations in KL ❤

Serene and welcoming environment. It’s open for prayers on weekdays and visits on weekends. The night has the blue light displays from the River of life.

The compound is friendly for all visitors, some exhausted worshippers take naps there.

The mosque was built on the location of an old Malay burial place at the confluence of Klang and Gombak River and named Jamek Mosque. A couple of mosques previously existed in the Java Street and Malay Street area serving the Malay communities, but Jamek Mosque was the first large mosque to be built in Kuala Lumpur.

This mosque is a historical landmark inside Kuala Lumpur which is built according to the Moorish design reflected on it and other buildings in the vicinity. It is strategically located right on the confluence of two rivers inside KL, primarily Klang River, and is near landmarks such as Dataran Merdeka and others. It forms part of the River of Life tour walk.

Its size is unremarkable and is just enough to hold daily prayers and other events, unlike other major mosques in KL which is specifically designed for large capacities.

Non-Muslim are able to enter the area provided that they wear covered clothing (robes are provided at the entrance) and at certain times only. For instance, only Muslims are able to enter at prayer times.

Beautiful mosque lights blue at night and looks pretty, I visited but unfortunately was closed to non Muslim on Fridays, although the man outside was very friendly and informative of the visiting times and dress etiquette, was nice to sit outside and listen to prayers, very busy.

During my visit to KL, I took a detour to explore a beautiful mosque during Jumma prayer. Although my intended destination was the Asy-Syakirin Mosque in KLCC, the unexpected stop allowed me to appreciate the serenity and architectural beauty of another mosque along the way. Sultan Abdul Samad Mosque is an architectural gem with a rich history. Named after the fourth Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Abdul Samad, the mosque's construction was completed in 1965. Its design reflects a harmonious blend of traditional Islamic architecture and contemporary elements. The mosque is known for its distinctive blue dome and minarets, offering a visually striking presence against the city skyline. Over the years, Sultan Abdul Samad Mosque has not only served as a place of worship but has also become a cultural and historical landmark, contributing to the vibrant tapestry of Kuala Lumpur.

This is an oldest Islamic place of worship in Kuala Lumpur. Situated at very meet up point of Klang and Gombak River. Peaceful and calm once prayer enter in it, Every Friday it become local Mecca of all color. I have had experience with prayer in every Friday for years!
Wash room, open courtyard, fountain, Top shadowed made this unique in nature. At evening lighting this place more beautiful. Lucky one get chance to watch, when sudden rain made both river full like little island.

Lovely mosque in the confluence of two rivers. Check the visiting hours before going, in order to be able to visit it.

At some time in the evening, some mist is generated around the mosque so there is a mystic / interesting view of it. Highly recommended to pass by.

Historical Masjid in Kuala Lumpur. One of the oldest Masjid in KL. Sadly, not many people pray here especially weekdays. Parking is quite difficult as streets parking is very limited.

I recently visited Masjid Jamek Sultan Abdul Samad and was blown away by its stunning architecture and serene ambiance.

The Friday Jummah prayer was a truly moving experience. Plenty of stalls around too for a snack or drink.

The facilities were clean and well-maintained, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this mosque to anyone looking for a peaceful place to worship. Five stars!

One of the finest and oldest mosques in Kuala Lumpur not far away from the many attractions of the city such as the Petaling Market, Little India, and the National Mosque.

The mosque is surrounded by a small garden. One can pray, read Quran, or indulge in the architecture. One has to dress-up to enter the mosque.

There is a place for ablution and for placing ones footwear. There are restrooms, too. Entrance is free of charge.
