You can even finish the ‘tambah nasi’ with the curry itself only ..! The nasi and kuah is so delicious, trust me it is !

SUPERB. What else could describe the taste of spiciness of the kuah campur and crunchiness of fried chicken. Everything is well-blend. It gives you the unforgettable taste and makes you crave for it even more! The price is indeed affordable.

Nasi Lemak Haji Ali is another competitor to other Nasi Lemak branches in Kedah. While all these restaurants don't serve traditional nasi lemak like we've always eaten for breakfast, it got a nice twist and fusion with Nasi Kandar. Enough with that let's get down to the real review of Haji Ali. The foods are fantastic! I would say this is the best Nasi Lemak-Kandar-esque in town (Alor Star). The fragrance and full with spices rice, with the fried chicken and extra veggies will fill your stomach to the fullest happily. Although the Daging Kicap wasn't really tender the last time I was there, the food was still great. I really recommended this place if you're in Alor Star. Expect a long queue but it worth the wait.

The onion fried chicken was delicious and the gravy was not overpowering in terms of spiciness. The rice was fragrant and fare better than other rice in nasi kandar category. Overall, I'm very statisfied with the dishes and happy to come again.

Very delicious foods.. An authentic northern dishes served here with variety of gravies to be choose to blend with your rice 👍 Have a try if you happen to stop at Alor Setar.. But please be patient as the que are quite long..

Expect long queue. Be patience. If you are eating at the restaurant,you can actually order at the cashier and they will send to your table. I learn the hard way.

This is my 2nd try, the mix gravy iis superb, but please dont be a hero to fine tuned your taste, just let the waiter to custom made the gravy for you, just choose any of main dish and ask for "kuah campur" which is mixed gravy.. let them made for you. Recommended for cow meat and squid..

Good for tea lover and nasi lemak

One of the best food in alor setar and its here in Shah Alam. Maybe this might be different for not kedahans people as the rice(nasi lemak) should be white in color instead its yellow. Give it a try! Some people might love it. Reminiscing my childhood memory

Strong of spice but the taste superb

One of the oldest restaurant in Alor star. The food is superb. Especially the Ayam Bawang and fried chicken gizzards with onion. Recommended.

The most delicious nasi in Kedah. Come early to avoid long que. you should try their kepala ikan and ayam merah.

Nasi kandar kedahan version! You will never get this kind of nasi kandar even in Penang. Must try!
