Restoran Nasi Lemak Royale @Alor Setar

The taste of the nasi lemak with fried chicken plus curried fish roe can't be beaten! They taste the same after all these years.

If you are a native of Alor Setar, you will definitely know that this is the one best food places in the town and you will be here whenever you are in town. Even though the it's called as nasi lemak, its not actually one, but closer to nasi kandar or nasi ganja.
The speciality is the yellow rice, which is fluffy and the generous amount mixture of curry and gravy that just over floods and soaks your rice. The mixture of gravies are spicy, sweet and a bit tangy. The price has increased over the years. The place is a bit underkept and not much clean.

If you stop at Alor Star, don't forget to enjoy the deliciousness of Nasi Lemak Royale. Various side menus are available here. Sometimes it is difficult to choose the menu that is served because everything looks delicious.

Don't worry because there is plenty of parking here.

Big places, good food and nice area.the parking spot is beside the restaurant.need to be alert on the location if u miss need to take long u turn

The environment is better here. This restaurant is open early then Royale Jalil or Royale HijauKuning. So if you are coming back from Langkawi and going back to South this is the place for you and your family!

Excellent! As expected their taste was so good. Tried SP Nasi Lemak Royale many times and craving for Alor Setar one and finally I feel satisfied. Many type of dishes with reasonable price. RECOMMENDED!! I'll repeat again. ❤😋

The dishes are really appetizing and fully flavored. You will find yourself licking your plate and fingers right after you finish the dish!! The taste is quite different from any Nasi Kandar that i've tried before . Different in a delicious way of course ! . Besides the price is affordable and statisfying . Even i only try it once , it become my favourite on the spot . For local food lovers , you must try it !!

There are 3 Nasik Lemak Royale in this road. One after another. Me coming from the land of nasik kandar(Penang) endorsed this as the best of 3. The curry had the kick. Not so spicy but just the right amount. The price is also reasonable. Highly recommended. I really wonder why this got no long queue like Deen Maju in Penang?

The nasi lemak served here is not the standard "nasi lemak" we all know (in a sense that the rice is not cooked in coconut milk and there's no accompanying sambal ikan bilis). Therefore to outsiders like us we may find the name somewhat misleading but don't let that fool you. The nasi lemak here resembles nasi kandar at maybe 90% similarity but the taste was like several times better. I don't have the words to describe how awesome it was. I usually unable to finish one standard serving of nasi kandar but for this nasi lemak royale I ended up ordering a second plate! Definitely a must have for me when I go visiting Kedah again.

One of the original place for Nasi Lemak Royale. Highly Recommended if you are looking for nasi kandar (there are others great nasi kandar as well in Alor Setar like Nasi Lemak Hj Ali)
