Urban Inn, Alor Setar

With very affordable price yet acceptable room space with amenities provided. Located at service apartment building which comes with quite good commercial lot restaurants and groceries. Recommended. Also parking lot not a big issue too.

Clean and spacious room for two. Bathroom is clean and with complete basics (towels, hot shower, body wash shampoo, toothbrush care pack, hairdryer and water heater). We got the non window room, but it’s worth the stay as there’s wifi. It’s a bit slow but the tv works well.

This hotel is located inside a shopping mall so you are spoiled with restaurants and convenience stores such as Mr. DIY, Guardian, ZUS coffee, old town white coffee, nasi kandar yasmeen and llao llao.

Parking is also free and available at the designated areas or at the basement. There is also a shell petrol station next to this hotel building. Overall, this is hotel is worth the pay and I’ll surely come back and stay here.

The room not that big, clean toilet. Have to request for extra pillows. U need to bring your own hanger if you want to iron your clothes because the hangers provided aren't detachable. Plus point many shops in the same building including laundry shop and clinic

Good location with a lot of amenities nearby. Definitely a place to stay.

A very good place to stay overnight for hiking or visit around alor star town. It has a lot of rooms and quite clean and big in the room.

It is inside a business park, so it has a small supermarket store, some restaurants like family marts, marry brown etc.

I booked the Junior Suite on Level-8. It has an amazing view looking over the vast paddy field leading to the sea in the background, and also Gunung Keriang in the distant. Unique alternative to the typical city, sea or mountain view options.

The Good :
1. Strategic location right on the edge of the city but with easy access to most places of interest without the traffic.
2. Plenty of food choices, halal, chinese and cafe situated within the same building. There is even a large grocer.
3. Room was clean, toilet clean with good hot water pressure.
4. Reasonably good price.
5. Easy and swift checking In/Out.
6. Common area of Level8 was new, so its bright and clean, and there is a filtered hot/cold water dispenser.
7. Pillows & Sheets are good!
8. Water is hot and aircon is cold.

The Bad :
1. The entrance to the hotel is obscure. (It's right next to 7-11)
2. Room toilet door is the folding glass type which i am never a fan of.
3. Mattress is the type which you can feel your partner's every move.
4. Windows are dirty.
5. Thin walls, you can hear foot traffic and chatters very clearly.

In conclusion, for this price point and its location, i think this is a very good and well managed hotel.

Located in the heart of alor setar the room was super good, but the tv have no Netflix nor connected to wifi, the place has access to all good stuff

Great clean room. Service is quick and fast. Great pit stop for those who is on the way to Langkawi as the hotel is near to the Kuala.Kedah Jetty.

Many eateries and fast food outlets plus a supermarket adjacent to the hotel. Very convenience.

Booked from Agoda for RM 85 per night. Paid RM 50 for deposit, got it back during checkout.

A simple bed, clean toilet, good enough for me just to overnight.

Perks are the shop lots on ground floor. Easy access to food, drinks, necessities.

Alor Setar is a small city. Easy to get around when you have a car.

Nothing to complain. Satisfied with the place.

The service is wonderful. I like the simplicity of the design in the room. Have a complete facility like food stall, grocery store along with convenience stores. I highly recommend this hotel to you. In addition the price is affordable.

Their rooms are big which is out of my expectation. Nice staff, comfy bed and nice design for the room. This is a good place for you to stay if you don't want to break your wallet.
