A real Gem. Our family spent 3 days and 3 nights with friends and everything was wonderful. We should have stayed longer.
Our accommodation was very comfortable and clean with a great view. The food was very good. High tea offered, delicious cocktails whilst playing pool or chilling in front of the private beach. Snorkeling was amazing and with turtles, black tip sharks

Reasonably priced hideaway with professional staff and really good food. If you swim just out beyond the cove to the pier, you get to swim amongst fish and coral.

There is lots to do for the adventurous including a hike to a fishing village and waterfall of 45 minutes each and there is even evening volleyball and a small bar that serves decent cocktails. All-in-all, an amazing experience.

Lovely place to visit for a few days, pretty easy to recommend.

The beautiful setting and snorkelling is why you come here. We had a great time in the water, we saw turtles, harmless reef sharks, rays, and a great variety of coral and fish.

We had really quite nice evening meals at the hotel, although lunches and breakfast were more basic (still totally fine). Transfers were made easy by the team, even when we were coming from Juara.

We travelled with our 1 year old, and the staff were very friendly to her. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and made the stay very smooth.

Healing balm to your tired soul. Small, intimate. One resort, one beach. Love it so much. Have been coming here over the last ten years.

It has a reef that is recovering from coral bleaching. Spotted 5 turtles, black tips, plenty of sea anemones, a nudibranch, 4 small morays, 3 different types of box fishes this trip.

Food variety can be improved.. service is minimal and non intrusive. If you want to dive, you have to arrange ahead, confirm and double confirm a time.

It’s a small, safe and private resort with a small sandy beach and a huge aquarium/ reef in front.
Perfect for a quiet retreat… no loud rowdy crowds, no TV, no karaoke.

There is a small library, a pool table and free fins n snorkels.

Prices for the room include free breakfast, dinner and tea. Bring your own toiletries… it’s basic here. But for that price, it’s a great deal.

I would like to say a big thank you to Sofia and her team (and the very nice and professional Jay) for making our stay so smooth and enjoyable. Sofia was super professional and helpful during the whole stay. The resort is very nice and family/kids friendly. We traveled there with our 9-month-old baby and we had a great time. The resort is quiet and beautiful. The food is nice as well ! We really appreciate the whole stay and the team. The resort has a friendly and family vibe which makes you feel comfty and "at home". Again, a big thank you to Sofia and her team for making it memorable.

We love Minang Cove. The grounds are superb, the staff look after you so well, the rooms are spacious and clean, the snorkelling is great off the beach and the food is fantastic. Overall we had a wonderful stay, very relaxing and enjoyable. There is limited mobile coverage - but how great is that for a tech detox! Don't hesitate to stay here.

Overall the stay, accommodation, food, was good. If you like private and cozy life and want to be away from busy life… this is the best. This resort is kids friendly as well. With no worries the kids can swim and snorkel around the area. Night fish feeding was beautiful under the starry sky… we saw many black tip shark. The people are all very friendly and warm. Do bring some extra snacks, drinks as you need. I would recommend this resort with great confident for those seeking for a cozy and private stay.

This is an amazing resort with wonderful staff who are so friendly and happy to help where they can. I love what the owner has done here in with the resort in keeping with the natural beauty of environment.
The food is excellent and our beach front villa was so clean and comfortable with huge windows the overlooked the ocean…so blissful to fall asleep listening to the waves.
So many positives here that I can’t list them all but we’ll 100% be back. Thankyou so much everyone, we look forward to seeing you all again for sure. Jen, Charles Boyle and family.

Our room was clean and cozy. The staff and the owner were really helpful and friendly. When the owner knew that it's my boyfriend's birthday, he prepared a romantic dinner for us. The private beach was really nice. We saw turtles and fishes in the reef beside the resort's jetty. The sharks also visited us 😊 there's no signal in the area aside from Digi so if you need to call/text or internet, I suggest you bring a Digi sim. Highly recommended and will definitely go back 👍

My girlfriend and I were at Minang Cove for a 4D3N stay, which turned out to be a great, relaxing experience that allowed us to take our minds off the daily hustle and bustle.

The resort had gone through a 18-month hiatus and upgrading prior to re-opening in March 2022, and upon arrival you will be greeted by welcome drinks with a spectacular view of the secluded beach.

Activities we did over here include kayaking, snorkelling, introductory dives, jungle trekking to nearby village of Kampung Mukut. The more adventurous visitors can walk to the Aceh waterfall located beyond Kg Mukut, or take speed boats for easier transfers. Snorkellers would not have to look far to find coral reefs, which are in proximity to the jetty. Plenty of fishes with interesting stripes and colors to be found around the area. At night after dinner, there will also be feeding sessions and we managed to see sharks every night without fail. There were a couple of rainy days, but the weather quickly returned to being sunny and did not affect our itinerary.

Food served also exceeded our expectations. With a full-board package, breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner are already included in the price. We were pleasantly surprised too when treated to a romantic dinner by the seaside on our final night.

All in, the hospitality displayed by the owner TJ, his family, as well as the staff here is unmatched. We will certainly be returning to Minang Cove in the future for the authentic Tioman experience.

Beautiful scenery, peaceful surroundings & serene atmosphere. Sea life & corals were bountiful hence need not go elsewhere. You can even rent their gears if you don't have one. There's even a well paved easy trek to Asah Waterfalls (5km). Meals were simple yet deliciously prepared. TJ (owner) & his crew was super friendly & made our 4D3N stay at Minang Cove truly memorable. Downside- bad internet reception. The local state authorities must do something to fix this because it effects the entire island. To sum it all up, Minang Cove is that one awesome spot still retaining Tioman's unique features- beautiful surroundings, beach side snorkeling, comfy accomodations, peaceful & relaxing atmosphere. Thanks MC!

Such a beautiful location with some of the most friendly staff I’ve ever come across! Perfect for relaxing, yet there always is something to do; from diving into the sea off the jetty, to snorkelling in the crystal clear water. The facilities and cabins where in good condition and it did not feel sandy like some resorts. I highly, highly recommend here and I will most certainly be returning. Shout out to the staff once again who added a personal touch and made us feel welcome and like old friends from minute 1! 😀

There was a amazing staff. The breakfast and dinner was also very nice. The rooms were very nice and clean. We had a amazing dive instructor but she has moved back with her husband. The walk to the waterfall isn’t half bad. The waterfall itself was nice although my brother started getting bit so we left and went home. We advise to bring sunscreen and lots of water to the walk as a guy that was staying there at the same time had got heat stroke. There were some nice corals and tons of fish for snorkeling. We also saw a turtle. The dive spots are amazing. We saw two eagle rays, a sea snake and the best of all two turtles fighting over some food. Also recommend diving off the jetty. Especially at sunset. Bring a drink and wear your swimming costume and go for a nice dip. Or a alternative is climbing the big rock to the top and watching the sun go down. Also enjoyable with a drink. You can also go up for a read or by the beach. I do recall some monkeys, however they got handled very quickly. Would recommend to go for a few days

Have always love this place. Secluded. Hidden gem in Tioman. One can snorkel right from the jetty of the resort. Lots of fish n corals. Diving school and snorkel/diving trips can be arranged. Crystal clear water. Will be back.

One of the best family breaks we've had experience wonderful hospitality and making new friends. My daughter tried for the first time Scuba diving at 11 years old and fell in love with the magic and ambiance that is Tioman. Well recommended and a relief not to have internet even for just the short stay was rejuvenating.

We had a fantabulous time in Minang Cove Resort & Spa... We love the exclusive stay here with all the friendly staffs... The food was great, especially the Bbq night... And who couldn't forget the after dinner entertainment at the Jetty... It was FANTASTIC!
We also could not forget the lovely scenery during the full moon... Diamonds and gems floating on the water.
Our kids love the natural beauty only found in Tioman... The big golden chested squirrel and that towering rocks and the clear blue waters.
Thanks to the Dive Master, Stormy, for the advise while we're jumping down from the Jetty into the clear water... Thank you Minang Cove...

The minag Cove Resort has all what we were looking for to get away from KL for a few days : a spectacular scenery, the most friendly and attentioned staff, perfect malay cuisine, and a very gentle house master. We would like to see more of that throughout Malaysia. A simply amazing place, highly recommended!
