Kedah State Museum

A place to learn about Kedah. Useful for students. Not allowed to take pictures inside. There is no entrance fee.

Free of charge. A few minutes drive away from the bustling Aman Central, this Museum is huge, rich in artefacts and very informative.

The museum has two floors, the ground floor retains the older exhibits, has a very dim lighting. The upper floor has a more newer exhibitions and environment and well lit. Exhibits are really informative and a lot of new things to learn regarding the history of the state of Kedah.
The entrance is free and photography is not allowed inside the museum.

Permanent exhibitions cover everything from their ancient civilisations to the Kedah Sultanate and life during the colonial days.

Other galleries cover textiles, traditional dances and ethnography. Recommend at least an hour or two to understand more about Kedah.

This museum beyond my expectation. 3 levels with several historical & cultural exhibition. Worth of visit, dan apa yg penting. Free entry!

You are not allowed to take pictures in the museum. It has few levels and don't forget to enjoy all levels.

Spacious! Very nice architecture. 5 floor! Lots of exhibitions. Very comfortable with air conditioning. Best and recommended to visit for those who love museums and history

Trying to be sejarah kid n proud of aaintis islam .. heheh its super cool in this hall, but there's no air conditioner fr upstairs..

Free entry but no camera/photo..lots of interesting pieces and you can learn many things here..but this place like many museum bit scary..hehehe

The knowledge I gained from the visit is quite astounding. It would be better if you turn on the air conditioner during the visiting hour and showcase a bigger collection for visitors. The replicas are limited so I took less than half an hour to finish looking around.

A very nice, informative and well-preserved museum. With AC and it is comfortable. Highly recommended. The toilets are not well-maintained.

An eye opener for those who are interested with past event esp Kedah history. A good place to be for kids. But d exhibition hall was not enough cooling..

Rarely come here but the muzium itself is good and beautiful and you can learn a lot of things from it too

Nicely laid out history of Kedah, boards with Malay and English descriptions

One of the best displayed museum in Malaysia. The amount of displayed item & how well they preserve it is top level.

A lot of artifact display. Creatif display in animals kingdom eventhough not many as other museum. FOC entrance. No pictures allowed.
