Taiping Hospital

In the past, I was just like many others out there having heard much about the inefficiency of Govt Hospitals, their lack of facilities, indifferent attitudes of staff etc. Not until 3 months ago when my Mom was diagnosed with CA; my perception of Govt hospital was completely changed !

Because of the nature of my Mom's illness, I have been to Jabatan Bedah (SOPD), Jabatan Radiology, Blood test Section, Unit Hasil, Ward D6 and so on; I must say I am so impressed with their competency, dedication and kindness ; be it doctors, nurses, cleaners, admin staff or even security guards. Special mention goes to Dr Umasangar, Dr Loh, Dr Jess Ng, Dr Hajjah Naziha, Dr Kuan of SOPD who have all displayed esteemed level of professionalism and clinical acumen. Though it is only a Govt hospital, they exude a sense of urgency putting my Mom from one test to another and finally through a successful surgery. Dr Loh and his team of surgeons must be commended for their skillful hands; the incision of 8inches healed within 2 weeks without the need for antibiotics or painkillers.

My heartfelt appreciation also to all the doctors and nurses at Ward D6 who goes all the way in making every patients in this ward rest and recuperate comfortably. Especially Dr Reshna and Dr Alicia Ong who have been most helpful. My Mom has been discharged and on the road to recovery. But I will never forget all the pleasant experiences and kindness shown to us during this time at Taiping GH.

I do agree this hospital has its shortcomings such as long queue or parking woes. But for each visit, I just need to remind myself to bring along 'Patience' and the rest will fall in place smoothly.

All services from the hospital are very gud. Parking is easy to get wth the help of security..

I am a doctor as well who has worked in Hospital Taiping previously. Recently a few of my family members contracted Covid 19.Mostly were category 1 and 2 until on day 2 of illness my dad deteriorated to category 4. 999 responded as soon as we called them and picked my dad up from our family home to Hospital Taiping. He was admitted to the respiratory zone in the emergency department. He was further stabilized. Despite in the midst of being busy, a young doctor(whose name i cant recall) managed to speak to me regarding his condition. When i reached home although being unable to meet my dad while he was in the emergency department i received a kind call informing that my dad is being admitted to the Covid general ward. The next day i managed to contact Dr Cheah who is the HOD of Medical Department of Hospital Taiping. I was given the latest update regarding my dad's condition. He actually deteriorated at this point of time. Decision was made to transfer him to ICU. I got a call from Dr Nik who was in the ward taking care of my dad. He constantly updated me regarding my dad's condition even though it was way past his shift time. My dad was transferred to ICU. Daily, without fail, I have been getting updates regarding my dad's condition from Dr Cheah. I have also been regularly updated by Dr Daniel who was taking care of my dad in the ICU. Then decision was made to transfer him back to the Covid general ward on day 8 of illness as his condition improved and stable. The nurses whom i came into contact via phone to get updates regarding my dad were approachable and were very patient to answer to each every question i had. Finally on day 11 of illness my dad was allowed to be discharged home. I am taking this opportunity on behalf of my family members to thank everyone who was involved in the excellent care rendered to my dad as well as to all our family members throughout his stay in Hospital Taiping. No words can describe our gratitude towards the excellent treatment and care my dad received throughout his stay in Hospital Taiping. Thank you very much from the bottom of our hearts. Despite being burnt out with heavy work load all of you have touched our hearts. Keep providing such heart moving services.

She is a very nice person, soft spoken, patient and kind to the elderly. So sorry for making her OT to remove the FB from my mom's throat. She didn't show any sign of inpatient throught the whole procedure.

The whole process in ED was smooth, quite fast as compared to other hospitals, was expected to wait for hours but settled everything in 1 hour (except the procedure).

I was my father's primary caregiver. He was admitted twice. Once for a heart attack, another for a car accident. Therefore, i had 1st hand experience to the service given at the ER, CCU, Ward 18, C4 & C6. The staff were nice and attentive to the need of patient. However, i have to point out that these places that my father was sent to, were understaff. They encourage family members to be there for the comfort of the patient.

Hospital Taiping this is the place that i was born in to the world. 1st time i see my mom my dad and all the doctor and nurses there. at that time. they all talented in what they do. but now i dont understand why people change. or maybe the old one already retired. for the new generation all people think about money and only money that make them fill like they are the king. not a passionate work.
for me you need to be passionate in whatever that you do. because people need nurses and doctor help. check they health. people always come and goes. people always have they bad and good days. so. dont use emotional to deal with people that always have a bad day in live.

nurses Doctor Teacher or other worker are all human that want to survive in the world that people always think about money..

The service is good....only parking is limited for car. I usually take motorcycle to the place.

I get the best care since my accident in 2007. Still get my treatment N made some good friends here.. I jokingly tell people sometime. The gh taiping is my second home, coz I am married to the hospital. Friendly nurses, good doctors, excellent care

Some area are under construction and renovation,especially gents toilet floor very wet...

Food poisoning during 4 am, visit to emergency department and real quick treatment was given. Good respond team and system as well as polite and friendly staff

Very fast servis..clean...humble staff very helpfull....tq for all our frontliners....
