Larut Matang Hawker Center (Food Court)

a nostalgic place to eat in Taiping, Perak. The atmosphere is still the same as before with the noise of various stalls cooking. Various types of dishes available here. the price is not too expensive but the parking space is quite limited and if you want a comfortable and romantic place, this is not for you.

A busy hawker food center with lots of food ( some replicate ) . Price are reasonable and you can get a plate of CKT for RM5.00.

There is a section where all the halal stalls are located. Definitely a must visit if you come to Taiping

Came here in mid Nov. Please come here if you crave to eat something local and affordable. Here got sate which so flavorful and sweet spicy popia. I got them for dinner to tapau at my hotel. Full my stomach.
Came here in morning as well around 10am. It's walking distance from the hotel we staying so we had a nice walk there in the morning.

Nice place for breakfast and lunch. Lot of different stalls to choose from. From roti canai, popia, mee goreng, mee rebus and other foods. The price is quite cheap but the food is good.

It's a food court with the same food at all stalls. Too crowded but able to find place to sit no prob with that. Not expensive. Bought kauw tiew grg for rm5. Can give a try. The food court is divided into two Chinese and malay. So no issue in halal or no.

I had my brunch here, strongly recommend stall 46 for the fried keuy tiao and the drink stall 73 for their famous drink Ho ka sai. The fried keuy tiao is full with cockles and small prawn. The fried taste with very good fragrant of “wo hei”

I didn’t go for others as I found all the stall are nearly the same but the taste might be different based on individual preferences.

Definitely worth a visit if you're in Taiping! Pretty classic Hawker food court, with a lot of options to choose from!

We got introduced by a local man to try the food here. It is so nice that we came here twice during our holiday. Many choices of local food, super delicous and affordable.

Tasty and traditional food. Char keow teow, hor fun and nyonya kuih are awesome. Enviroment is abit stuffy.

40 years ago start having meal here, nice food

Can try char koay teow at 63 stall very nice got wok hei. So far my fav stall.

Crowded food court, many food stores but most of them repeated. Fry Kuey Teow, mee rebus, kuih muih (high recommend), chicken rice and etc. Food taste great.

The hawker centre is like most of those found in towns of Malaysia, good food with prices considered cheap. Ah Leng fried Koay Teow for Rm 5 a plate, the cristal prawn from store 十八丁海鲜 Rm 10 a plate. The combination of both is fantastic. All of these stores are handled by local folks who are friendly.
