An incredible place to see with all the special things entailing (echoing of the bird when clapping etc). A truly special experience and definitely worth doing. After entering I would highly recommend taking a tour guide because otherwise you just don't know what this place is about. The guide can give you many more insights and it's worth spending the extra money for it.

Truly amazing archeological site. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable. I learned so much. Not too crowded. Watch out for the vendors. They will rip you off. Silver is never true silver. Always bargain for better price!

One of the new wonders of the world! Absolutely massive and beautiful. It’s crazy to think that it was built around 1100-1200 AD. Definitely worth it to make a day trip out to see this place and get a guided tour. Very accessible and easy to walk around.

Such an amazing place, worth spending several hours with a tour guide. The history is fascinating and the various buildings have been restored beautifully. It can get very hot in the open areas, but umbrellas can be rented and there are some shady spots. There must be 50 vendors along the pathways, all selling pretty much the same souvenirs. The time zone is one hour earlier there than Cancun, so get there early (we were there at 8 am) and take advantage of the cooler temps and fewer tourists.

One of the new wonders of the ancient world. An absolutely stunning location and one which you cannot miss when visiting Mexico. Filled with history and fascinating features you will need a local historian and guide to truly experience the wonder of this site.

Phenomenal ruins of ancient Mayas. Fabulous and unforgettable. There are also a lot of sellers selling fabulous souvenirs for the best prices we could find on Yucatan.

Definitely recommend coming with a guide and arriving early! That's what we did and we had a great experience. Make sure you bring sunscreen and a hat for shade. You'll be happier if you do.

The knowledge of and reverence for El Castillo, and for Chichén Itzá overall is awesome to experience. Such a great insight into Mayan civilization, and amazing to see actual manifestations of Mayan knowledge that rivals our own, 5,000+ years later.

Apparently the planetarium and a good chunk of the grounds are still closed, so we didn't get the full experience, but still loved everything we saw and would gladly come again to experience even more.

It’s one of the 7 wonders in the world. Great place in Mexico. It was too sunny when we visited in January and was around 34’ C. It was burning hot and couldn’t able to complete full park.

It will be too crowded but the lines will move fast at the entrance. If you can, buy tickets in advance so you can avoid 5-10min wait time at the counter. Have to buy two separate tickets (one for federal and one for the state). There will many guide people will be stopping your car on the way but you no need to stop and waste time there if you don’t need guides. But they will guide you the routes and give basic information. They won’t force you for anything.

A beautiful site and very well maintained. The Jaguar whistles sold by the merchants are a little annoying, but other than that it was by far one of the best historical monuments I've ever been to.

I went with a tour group and highly recommend doing so, however make sure your tour is at least 3 hours as there is a lot to see here.

Awesome and just a huge place to absorb the history and culture of.

The price posted is far below the real price so be warned. You have to pay the state as well as the federal entry to go into here

Although busy it is a large enough site to not feel crowded. Would have loved to spend more time there. The vendors are a bit annoying but not too bad. Enjoyed looking at their crafts but wondered what was mass produced.

During the day it's wonderful, but during the night is breathtaking. Every Sunday you can take the chance to walk in the ruins during the night and Enjoy the magical light show around the Maya history ( 30 minutes duration circa ).
The availability is reduced, so I suggest to book well in Advance for your tickets.

Impressive ancient city. Unfortunately it is forbidden to climb the temple.

Be there before 10am to avoid the mass of tourists.

Too many souvenir sellers!

Great experience. Stayed in town so could visit before the crowds came in. Must see and best early in the morning to avoid the crowd but also the heat. We hired one of the tour guides, friendly guy with some interesting stories which we enjoyed as it adds to the experience, even if one could read it all in a book.

Chichen Izta is an incredible piece of history for anyone interested in ancient civilisations, central America maths (especially maths!) or folklore. You need to get a local guide to take you around and explain it all as there is no museum on the site. (A museum would be a welcome addition to the site).

We got in quickly with our pre booked tickets. It was busy but not awfully so.

It’s an amazing place, one of the wonders of the world, you cannot but the tickets online so you must do the line, if you go before 11am the line is 10-15 min, after 12 could be more than 30 min, the price is 25-30 usd and it’s worth it

Wonderful place to visit full of history, would recommend to buy ticket in advance if you can or be prepared to stand in queue for a while. Once that is crossed you will have a blast, there are lot of vendors inside, make sure to bargain for price, sometimes you can go to 1/4th the asking price

Truly a magnificent wonderer of the world - not just a stunning piece of art - build with so much knowledge of math, and physics that is mind blowing. A must see place for history lovers. Impressive to say the least the capability and knowledge of Mayan civilization. Forever in awe of their values, believes and way of living …
