MiraMar is an allstar group of magic makers. I have had a number of experiences with them including one stay in their rentals and three separate boat excursions. 11/10 recommend booking experiences or stays with them.

rentals: gorgeous rooms with great views. conveniently located to town and the beach. stellar rooftop deck that looks over the bay.

booking: very easy to do online. Kendra and Fernando are super accommodating and kind - they want you to have an experience of a lifetime that is tailored to your desires and it is shown in their excellent customer service. payments are simple. upon booking you receive an email with very clear instructions.

boat trips: WOW! trip one I took with friends to celebrate my birthday. It was a full day trip of fishing, snorkeling, fresh ceviche and a stop over to a little town south of Yelapa called Chimo for lunch more like a feast of fresh fish fit for kings. They let us play our own music and we danced from 8am onwards to nearly sunset. It was so special. Beer and water provided. My dad had called them and asked if they would get me a bottle of wine, hah, poor guy didn't understand that a nice bottle of wine is very hard to come by in Yelapa. However, MiraMar went all the way to Puerto Vallarta to pick up a beautiful bottle which we drank on the rooftop over fresh ceviche made by Fernando. So special.Trip two was a journey to the Marietta Islands for exploring and surfing with a group of people who I was on a retreat with a neighboring accommodation. This trip was truly spectacular. Incredible marine and bird life sightings including a HUGE school of dolphins that swam by our boats back to Yelapa. Trip three was a day long experience for my boyfriend and I. The guys picked us up in PV at a time we got to request. We were 15 minutes late and they could not have been nicer about it. We caught two fish and the guys whipped it up into the best ceviche which we ate on a glorious virgin beach with no other people in sight, it was unique romantic picnic of a lifetime. We got to snorkel with loads of colorful fish in coves with no other people. If you are interested in knowing what the fish are, I recommend bringing your own book as they do not have one available. We saw several whales through out the day including one family of about 6-8 whales that swam right around our boat! Incredible!!! The guys were really sweet, knowledgable and accommodating. My boyfriend and I greatly enjoyed conversations with them about culture and personal lives.

A quick little getaway for me and the wife. Had a splendid time at MiraMar. Quaint, yet fully equipped space. Our space was good for two, but could have housed a kid as well. Full kitchen and dining for some home-cooked deliciousness with fresh local produce available at La Tienda, just a 5-10 minute walk away. Balcony looked over a small beach with calm, clear water. Plenty of local eateries and bars to fill your "I didn't come all this way to cook" needs as well. Fernanda (property manager) took care of our needs when they arose quickly and with absolute courtesy. Locals are friendly and helpful, full of stories, and ready to share a shot of raicilla with you. You can thank me later. Have already started making arrangements for another visit. We'll see you on the beach!

My husband I recently hosted our 50-person wedding at MiraMar, and Kendra, Fernando and their staff were amazing to work with, and super detail-oriented and accommodating. My family took over all of the rooms at MiraMar, and everyone was thrilled with their accommodations, along with the amazing views MiraMar has, and the friendly, helpful staff. I highly recommend you check out MiraMar if you are just traveling to Yelapa and want a nice and central play to stay, and/or if you are looking to host an event on their well-equipped rooftop patio. You are sure to have an amazing experience there no matter what!

MiraMar is THE place to stay in this beautiful seaside community. Great location and accommodations, plus the fishing excursions with Fernando are simply amazing. Took a group of 8 out for half a day of fishing with Fernando and his small crew, and we were blown away by the level of service and care. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Kendra and Fernando make you feel like part of the family (while respecting distance). Manta Ray was perfect to take in the water and serve as home base while exploring the village. I would highly recommend as the staff at MiraMar have all the connections and history to make your stay the experience you want.

Our family experienced such a lovely and memorable celebration of our daughter’s marriage at MiraMar. We often imagined what it would be like celebrating in Yelapa, but nothing came close to the actual beauty of a MiraMar wedding. We were so impressed by your attention to details in all areas, the decorating, gorgeous flower arranging and serving and preparing such a delicious menu! The hosts have such a beautiful and calm way of guiding the couple and family through the process. Thank you for being so patient and helpful in so many ways! Your staff is amazing and everyone was so kind and helpful. So many guests complimented the food and the service. My family is still talking about the delicious appetizers!! The wedding was just PERFECT!

We’re so grateful for the wonderful memories we have of all our time in Yelapa, but especially our stay at beautiful MiraMar. MiraMar organized all the pier pick-ups and returns and Fernanda was always available for assistance while we were there. What a gorgeous spot to stay overlooking the ocean. Each room was perfect for each family member! We greatly appreciate all the staff did to prepare for our arrival.

Always a fantastic stay. Views and service is excellent. This is our favorite vacation destination for outdoor activities and relaxation.

My family enjoyed our stay in Casa Tijereta, a beautiful space with ocean views on three sides and a gorgeous balcony. This is a good space for families, the bunkbeds accommodated our small children well. Communication was great, the kitchen was reasonably stocked, the location was very convenient. We loved the stairs down to the small beach below. The only downsides were that this condo opens up onto the street and it is a little noisy at times and a bit of a damp smell in one of the bedrooms I'm sure due to the proximity to the water. We also booked an excursion through Miramar and had a great time! Highly recommend!

MiraMar is amazing! We first tried to book it for our wedding, but COVID got in the way. Kendra and Fernando allowed us to keep our deposit and use it for a spring break getaway instead. We stayed in the Manta Ray suite and were just steps away from the beach. Our room was clean and well-equipped with everything we needed for a 5 star stay. Staff at the MiraMar and friendly and very helpful. Franco took us on a fun horseback ride up to the waterfall, as well as snorkeling in the Marieta Islands. He is delightful, funny and professional. Nelson took us on a fishing trip in the day where we caught bonito and green jack fish. He is also wonderful. The icing on the cake was that at the end of our trip, Nelson and Franco took us over to Sayulita (a three hour boat ride) and dropped us off. Thank you Kendra, Fernando and staff for a dreamy vacation in Yelapa!

The place is absolutely wonderful. The host are amazing They make every effort to take care of your every need. Wonderful balcony views from the rooms. If you leave your door or your window open you will enjoy the sound of the ocean. The fishing and snorkeling excursions were great. Our family had the whole hotel for a destination wedding. The flowers the setting the reception were all magnificent.Without a doubt we will be back again. Thank you again for the wonderful experience Miramar.

My husband and I had our wedding at MiraMar Yelapa December 2018. We cannot even put into words how amazing Kendra, Fernando and their entire staff were in bringing our day together. Kendra did an incredible job planning every special detail. She was so easy to communicate with and guided us through any decisions we needed to make for our trip. We were lucky enough to stay at MiraMar for three nights, and had several family members stay there as well. The rooms are gorgeous, exquisitely clean, and comfortable. The beds are a delight to sleep in and the patios have the most incredible views. My husband and his brothers had an amazing day fishing with Fernando and cannot stop raving about what a fun day they had. Kendra and Fernando coordinated a delicious, short notice reception dinner for us at a nearby restaurant with the fish caught that day the night before our wedding. They made our wedding day completely relaxed and the day could not have been more beautiful. Kendra and Fernando created a fairytale with the best decorations, food and bar we could have imagined. We cannot wait to go back. We highly recommend anyone dreaming of a destination wedding get in touch with Fernando and Kendra!!

Yelapa is a hidden gem and MiraMar is the icing on the cake. The location is perfect, the views are stunning, and the villa is well appointed and stocked with all of the essentials. Kendra and Fernando are the best hosts and were available for all of our needs and questions. We will be back
and highly suggest a stay if you want to stay off the beaten path.

MiraMar is a stunning property brought to life by Fernando and Kendra. Everything about our stay was perfect, including pre-trip coordination with Kendra, beautiful amenities, and excellent information and hospitality at every turn from the whole crew. Our room was perfect and had a big iguana in the tree right in front. Perfect location for walking to town or the beach, or just taking it all in from the ocean facing rooms or rooftop. This is a beautiful way to experience Yelapa! After our stay, we chartered one of their boats back to Puerto Vallarta and trolled and snorkeled all the way back to Los Muertos pier. Thank you, MiraMar!

10/10. The hosts are incredibly friendly and organized. Their footop patio was great as we didn't have an ocean view room. The honor bar is such a great idea.

Suites are super clean and come with manuals telling best spots to visit for food.

Come for a visit and consider moving.

I spent almost three weeks at MiraMar in March of 2017 with a large group of my students and coworkers for a training workshop and field course. We took up three rooms, all of which were spotless, extremely comfortable and very well equipped. There was lots of lounge and common space in the rooms, not to mention the stunning rooftop patio and bar! Kendra and Fernando are extremely kind and welcoming, and made sure that we had everything we needed as guests, and even helped accommodate some special requests for our course. I cannot recommend them highly enough! Do yourself a favor and stay in one of their beautiful casitas.

I loved staying here! The place was super spacious and clean, with gorgeous views of the bay. We had everything we needed, with a fully-stocked kitchen, linens & towels, and a freakishly huge bathtub.

The beds were super comfortable...though I ended up sleeping in the hammock on the patio, with the surf crashing beneath me!

Kendra & Fernando are amazing hosts. They take excellent care of the place, and will get you anything you need, from recommendations of the best places to eat, to fresh ceviche from that day’s fishing trip.

You cannot beat the location, either: it’s just a few steps from restaurants in town, and a 10-minute walk to the main beach. They also have their own, smaller beach, of course.

I can’t wait to come back to Yelapa, and stay at MiraMar!

Friends and I went on the seafood feast excursion and had a fantastic full day of beauty, adventure, incredible food and pure bliss! Fernando and his friend Franco were helpful, attentive, fun and professional. We first went snorkeling, Fernando having picked the best location considering conditions and providing excellent equipment. It was perfect. Then he took us to the most gorgeous pristine beach, always making sure we got off and on the boat safely. Then off to Chimo for a cool canoe ride to the beach and a most delicious huge meal, including cold beers. Beers and water were also offered on the boat. Actually this was my 3rd time going on this trip with Miramar and I’m sure I will go again!

I stayed at MiraMar (Room Estrella de mar) for 4 nights in a time where I needed rest, calm and peacefulness. It was the perfect place for my needs. The place is very well-located, very cute and clean. The hosts are very welcoming. I strongly recommend.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about our time at MiraMar. The room was very comfortable, and the view was absolutely picturesque. The owners, Kendra and Fernando went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed.

We went fishing with Fernando one day and had a truly unforgettable time - his passion for and knowledge of fishing was impressive. He made ceviche on the boat for lunch and took our fish to a local restaurant where it was served as our dinner.

I would recommend MiraMar to anyone visiting Yelapa, and we hope to return one day.
