We came early in the morning so we were swimming there alone, it was an amazing experience. And don´t miss the nearby cave, it is also worth seeing. Just be careful about the signs to the cenote, the access road is not marked and you have to drive for about 3km on gravel road to find the first sign.

We spent the most wonderful day at Caracol. When we arrived, we were greeted by the friendly host who explained the experience: cave walk and two Cenotes. He also had me move our car to a more shaded area, which we appreciated. They also pointed out a couple of howler monkeys resting in the trees above. We started with the nature and cave walk which was very cool, and colored lighting helps to see details throughout the cave areas. Then we enjoyed both Cenotes. They gave us a waterproof flashlight to use in the Cenotes, which is necessary to explore into the cave areas. While i thought it might feel claustrophobic going into the cave areas with low hanging stalactites, it wasn’t an issue— and our kids enjoyed it too. I’d definitely recommend both Cenotes since they are both unique. And there were no crowds, so we were able to really enjoy the experience as a family. After the Cenotes we enjoyed cervezas and kids had fresh coconut water (once the water was gone they opened them up and sliced out the flesh to enjoy). And don’t miss the local Mayan art at the store. Overall the service and experience was 10/10, highly recommend Caracol to get a true natural cenote experience!

What an incredible experience! It was my first time swimming in a cave, so I really didn't know what to expect. But the place is so beautiful and unique! You definitely need a guide who knows the place to enter the cave. They offer safe vests and I really felt safe during the whole time. There's also a good support structure, with restrooms and a small restaurant.

From the high way it’s about a 12 minute drive through dense greenery. Our small sedan did just fine but sometimes you have to let people pass if they are going in the opposite direction. There are signs posted and off the the left. Two cenotes and walk through cave for 400 pesos. We had the area mostly to ourselves. One cenote is open with sun light and other you have take your shoes off. Be ready for a lot of stairs to climb down into. It’s a small entrance into the cenote and is entirely underground and really dark. It’s was eerily beautiful couldn’t help but feel energized by the place. They have plenty showers and places to hang out by.

This cenote was amazing, and the food was authentic! We were in a small tour group of 8 people and had a blast swimming here. Just note that it can be a tight swim at times

Would come back. Three stops included in entrance: a cave and 2 cenotes. Was able to swim in a pitch black corner of one of the cenotes. One moment we were the only group there. The next there were three tour busses.

Lovely tour and place to visit. Got told some interesting facts and it was just a nice walk. If you wanna avoid the sun but see some sites the caves is the place to go.

Takes about 3km in small/dirt road to reach the cenote. There is a cave to explore + 2 cenotes.
1 cenote is 300 pesos. Both cenotes are 400 pesos. The cenote (300 pesos) is really dark. But you can rent a flashlight for 50 pesos.

This was the most amazing cenote I’ve experienced. Off the beaten track, private, you can explore at your own leisure. Absolutely incredible.

Amazing time at Cenote Caracol. Our group drove here and the road is bumpy but ok. The cave boardwalk is stunning and the cenote swim is spectacular. The water is clean and fresh - such a unique experience. The place has a charming feel and the lunch option is worth it.

Beautiful and natural Cenote. Cold sweet water. It takes you about 30 minutes to swim around it. Well litted -Deep water, can't stand on it. Low ceiling stalactites/stalagmites; tight passing spaces. You will enjoy the experience even more if you know how to swim. Grew tired by just floating. Great location. Clean premises with showers, changing space, and bathrooms. Typical & simple Mayan food at dining area. Don't forget your water shoes and towels. Had a great experience at this place. The caves are beautiful also.

Visited 4 different cenotes, but Caracol stands out as the best! With two cenotes and a cave, it's really cool. Priced at 400 Mexican pesos. No crowds whatsoever – we had the whole place to ourselves! They provide flashlights, which is awesome for exploring underwater or venturing into the dark caves. On-site, they also offer tacos and quesadillas for 100 Mexican pesos per serving. The owner is incredibly friendly, showing us around and sharing insights. This is the kind of place you want to keep coming back! Recommend!!!

It is a natural swimming hole, less developed than some of the other cenotes in the area, offering only basic amenities such as a multi-purpose room, life jackets, and an outdoor shower. Getting to the cenote can be challenging, as it requires driving on a rugged dirt road off of Highway 307 through the jungle. Despite the difficulty of access, visiting Cenote Caracol can be a grand adventure as it is less visited and offers visitors the chance to explore the cave system and cenote with little crowds. The cenote has a wooden walkway that winds through the caves, allowing visitors to gaze at stalagmites and then a ladder to descend to the cenote itself, where visitors can explore the cave system, fish, and see small fruit bats on the ceiling.
