We had a great time on this tour! The cenotes were beautiful, Chemuyil was a cool town to bike around and see, and Gilmer was a great host who showed us parts of the cenotes we wouldn’t have gone to without him. On top of that, the traditional Mayan-style pork was incredible. Would definitely recommend the tour!

My girlfriend and I booked a private Cenote Tour with Gilmer from Soliman Bay Tours based on their great reputation on TripAdvisor and Google Maps.

Gilmer was on time and brought us snorkeling gear and life jackets that were freshly sanitized and packaged.

Gilmer took us to three underground Cenotes and one above ground Cenote. They were all excellent and Gilmer timed our arrival so the Cenotes weren't busy and we had them mostly to ourselves. At one Cenote Gilmer guided us into a hidden portion of the Cenote that was completely closed off from the main portion. It was amazing in there and we would have never been able to find it if it weren't for Gilmer guiding us.

Gilmer's english was great and he was able to teach us a lot about the Cenotes and even gave us recommendations on what else to do while we were in Mexico.

We were extremely happy with Gilmer's service, low cost and our overall experience. I would recommend Gilmer and Soliman Bay Tours to anyone looking to explore the area and discover really cool Cenotes.

We had a fantastic time with Soliman Bay Tours. Gilmer was a great host and making and eating the Mayan Pork tacos was such a brilliant experience. Santiago showed us around the Cenotes and encouraged us to explore them without any pressure. The village was really lovely to bike through and the Cenotes were stunning and quiet.

We also booked through Soliman tours to snorkel with the sea turtles which was such an amazing experience. Severiano is a great, knowledgeable and friendly guide. Seeing the turtles and other sea life up close was incredible.

Cannot recommend these guys enough!

10/10 would recommend. My girlfriend and I joined Gilmer for the day and had so much fun! He was incredibly kind and informative. He even took photos for us throughout the day and shared them with us. We will definitely be joining him again in the future. You should too.

Amazing tour company! We did the cenote tour and it was very authentic, informative and eco conscious. Gilmer went above and beyond throughout the tour and we got to share a scrumptious meal together after an adventurous day. Would highly recommend this tour!

We picked this excursion for the fun combination of kayaking and snorkeling. Gilmer provided an easy meeting point, great preparation directions & the well-versed knowledge of a guide that loves sharing the beautiful reef with others. He expertly pointed out sea cucumbers, angelfish, and more, including the graceful beauty of an eagle ray! (Don’t forget to protect this amazing area with reef-safe sunscreen and fins up to avoid breaking off coral, please!) The kayaking is easy enough and we never felt rushed, were treated with patience & kindness, always felt safe when in the water and were kept well-informed of what we were to expect from getting back in the boat to underwater photography to water currents, etc. I would definitely rebook with Gilmer for an excursion package again! Also, ask about his friend Jorge at Cuarzo Viajes Transport Co. for a great shuttle option!

Gilmer was so good we booked twice! We first booked through Airbnb for a Bay snorkeling tour. The bay was quiet and felt very private. We paddled out in calm water and were guided around the snorkeling area. Gilmer gave us plenty of time to enjoy and take pictures, and even took a few for us!

We enjoyed him so much we booked a Cenote snorkeling tour for the next day. He took us to the Cenotes when they were almost empty and showed us some of the most spectacular caves and clear water I've ever seen! He again gave us all the time we needed to take pictures and enjoy the cenote.

He also took us to his favorite breakfast place in Chemuyil before heading out on the tour (much needed as we skipped breakfast to make the tour on time!) Gilmer is our favorite and we hope to visit him again soon!

Gilmer was fantastic. Such a great guide to some incredible spots. We took a cenotes tour and it was better than we could’ve hoped for. He knows the perfect times to visit all the great spots (so we avoided a lot of the crowds). And he took his time and made sure we enjoyed the entire experience. I can’t recommend Gilmer enough. If you’re coming to the Tulum area… make sure Solomon Bay Tours is a part of your to-do list. They have something to offer every aquatic adventure you might want.

We had the best trip with Gilmer and Victor! We started at the Tulum Ruins, where we were dropped off for a self-guided tour. Gilmer offered to help find a tour guide once we were on site, but we opted to explore ourselves.
After the ruins we kayaked in the ocean and snorkeled from there. I've gone on several snorkeling excursions, and this one was by far the best! Usually snorkel tours take you out on a boat or from a dock to an area with several other groups. Soliman Bay Tours takes you to a private area, and it was just our small group of 6! It all felt very natural as the guides do not feed or bait any fish to come. It was a LOT of swimming around to see things, but we saw so many amazing sea creatures! We saw a barracuda, conch, and a spotted eagle ray (just to name a few!).
The cenote snorkeling was also very memorable. It was all of our first time in a cenote, and it was a really cool experience!
We finished with a lunch from a local restaurant and it was the best meal we had all week in Riviera Maya! My family talked about the food for the rest of the trip!!
Usually tours feel very rushed, especially when there are multiple activities planned, but we never felt rushed once! We are so grateful for Gilmer's (and Victor's) patience throughout the entire day and hope to join another tour during our next trip to Riviera Maya!

Went on a cenote tour with lunch yesterday and it was the highlight of my trip! Every detail was thought of and taken care of. My guide was super knowledgeable about the area and incredibly approachable with questions. I would give this 10 stars if I could. Book now, you won’t be disappointed!

My friend and I visited Tulum to celebrate my birthday. After an amazing weekend seeing the ruins and swimming in cenotes, we decided we wanted our last day to be a bit more relaxing. We started off with delicious lunch at Chamicos and then came across Soliman bay tours. We decided going on a private boat ride was just what we needed to close out the trip. Our tour guide Jonathan was so friendly and accommodating and a great conversationalist. We went on the boat for a couple hours, snorkeled and soaked in the beautiful turquoise water. This was probably one of my favorite parts of my trip. I wish we had opted for more time on the boat but there’s always next time. Thank you guys for a great time! Highly recommend a tour with them if you’re looking for a relaxing day in beautiful Tulum.

Very highly recommended! I cannot say enough nice things about Gilmer. He is a good person and an excellent guide. He rearranged several schedules to be able to lead us, and made the day and absolute delight. Once in a while, when you’re traveling you find somebody who really has integrity and does a great job just because they enjoy what they do and are honest. Gilmer is the real deal. I can’t recommend him enough

We had one person in our group that absolutely wanted to snorkel everywhere we went and we were absolutely blown away but the quality, kindness and expertise of Gilmer and Jonathan. Jonathan took us out for an hour and was a pro. We saw a lot of great colorful fish, a sting ray, two squid fish and just had a great time overall.

Coupled with chamicos (by far the best place on a beach in Tulum), this place is even better. We spent two of our seven days on solyman bay and they were by far the best, easiest beach days we had. Thanks again Gilmer and Jonathan!

Perfect day trip to Coba and ceynotes

Realmente un excelente guía. Tomamos las experiencias de los cenotes y ver tortugas, y pasamos muy muy lindo.

Fuimos un grupo de 4 mujeres y nos sentimos muy cómodas con el. Súper amable y respetuoso.

Se nota que tiene pasión por lo que hace y además respeta al medioambiente y la cultura de su comunidad.

Visitamos 4 cenotes, super bonitos. Gilmer, el guía, es super atento, amable y se da el tiempo de explicar todooo. En mi caso, no se nadar; pero fue muy paciente, para que también disfrutara de los cenotes.

Así mismo, nos enseñó la receta y cocinamos cochinita, un platillo típico de la región. Supeeer recomendado. Es una buena experiencia.

Un tipazo, un verdadero guía apasionado y con ganas de compartir su conocimientos con otres.
Hicimos el tour de los cenotes y fue una experiencia increíble, no solo paseamos si no que también almorzamos una comida típica del lugar, un día memorable. Gracias!

Gilmer es un excelente anfitrión/guía. Hicimos un tour con el por 4 cenotes y se mostró muy amable y dispuesto. Altamente recomendable!!!!

Después de la experiencia nefasta de hacer snorkel en Santa fe tulum, nos encontramos con gilmer, que te cuida, te enseña, se toma su tiempo para que realmente tengas una experiencia grata, la verdad no se lo pueden perder. Además de que el arrecife es mucho mejor que el que está en las costas de tulum ciudad, hay muchas más especies. No dejen de venir.

Hará falta decir que se va al restaurante del fondo para tener acceso a la playa (Así se tendrá acceso por el restaurante).
