Excellent place to get fresh fruits and vegetables from local vendors at a decent price.
But, you can’t beat the prices on getting some hot traditional Mexican and Yucatarian foods for a cheap price! The food is excellent and the vendors are very friendly.
You can even find a favorite vendor and get discounts over time.
Experience what real locals eat and where they shop. Even enjoy different vegetables like white cucumbers and green oranges. That are different and delicious.
It’s located in central Progreso and has many shops for gifts, hammocks, and household items. You can even get a cold flavored Mexican fruit waters.

Smaller than most of the markets in Merida but appears to have better produce. Has most all the necessities needed for a good homemade meal and plenty of places to grab a bite if you're interested in someone else doing the cooking. We live in Merida now but visit the mercado when we can. It's also a great place to pick up nice inexpensive souvenirs.

This is the main market where they have fresh vegetables, a meat market, and a seafood market.

There are lots of shops including a florist, VooDoo, keys, leather repair, etc.

The center has a lot of food businesses. It has recently been remodeled.

Great market. You can find anything you need there and some things you didnt know you needed lol

The tamales are great as well as the empanadas. They also have a really nice and friendly florist as well as great produce from Zolida

I had the best shrimp taco of my life here. I can't stop thinking about it and if i come back to this town, it will be entirely to eat more food at this amazing market.

Best market in Progreso. Great variety. Super prices, lots of open hours. Some limited shopping for clothes. Mostly veggies and food stands and fresh meats. Produce is priced great.

Try fresh juices, fresh juices are always good. One liter orange juice just 20peso. Cheapest we seen in Mexico. Sadly look like they added some sugar to orange juice.

Fish market, meatarket, cook and eat, or place your order.. choose your pick. But only if you can stand the smell of a lovely fish market!
