Super Bonanza : Food

This is a great place for foreigners in Centro missing the taste of home. There’s an unusually wide variety here for a small store. They have a decent selection of cheeses, and will cut you off a chunk of sharp cheddar (for example) and for a reasonable price. There are a few types of hummus, including the snack size from Costco which costs 12.5 pesos each. Not as cheap as home, but a better deal than the big supermarkets on the edge of town.

There are bagged dried fruits and nuts, including salted pumpkin seeds (pepitos), which we adore. Butter is sold by the stick.

Great selection of salad dressings, sweets, condiments - all you need are the fresh fruits and vegetables from the mercado a couple of blocks away.

this is the store where we find most of the basic products on our weekly shopping, a multitude of items from alcohol, bathroom, kitchenware and food products..easy to enter, place items in a store carrier and then find the bill is quite reasonable for the products you have purchased..

Always a great place to buy many things that are not in the smaller local tiendas.

Great local market with many items US expats are missing from home. Lots of bulk items too, spices, grains, beans, nuts etc.

After hearing so many complaints about the lack of a decent grocery store in Centro, I am left scratching my head. Bonanza is an excellent choice. While they don't have produce or meats (these are easily found close by at the Ignacio Ramirez market), dry goods, dairy (including an excellent cheese selection), canned goods, spices, etc. Are found in a wide variety. Prices for comparable items are very similar to City Market and La Comer and there are some items that can only be found at Bonanza.

Asian, this is your place in San Miguel. Fisf sauce. Soy sauce. Sriracha. Noodles.......

Love, love, love this store...it's like a food museum! It's much bigger than it looks from the outside and it's jam packed with a lot of essential, interesting, and hard to find items like spices, teas, cheeses, and candies. There's no fresh produce, but, as another customer mentioned, there is a high quality fruit and vegetable store and a good butcher shop close by on the same block. Also, I found the employees to be very helpful and courteous.

Great assortment of condiments and ingredients that are hard to find in San Miguel de Allende. Food, condiments, spices, flours, cooking ingredients, Mexican, and Asian ingredients, too Household supplies, pet supplies. All in a tiny storefront.

Prices are good and staff is friendly

Great selection of organic food and products that are harder to find here. Several different grains, cheeses, spices, sauces. Excellent deli counter and selection of refrigerated and frozen items like broths, dairy.

This place surprised me as I was expecting the prices to be outrageous but instead they were quite reasonable. The choice is vast, most of it offered for expats. There was even a dairy section but there are no fruits and vegetables. You buy those at the markets where the selection is incredible and the prices are very inexpensive. I can find a lot of specialty items for everything from Keto diets to vegan. And if it is not there you will find it at La Comer or City Market. The choice also varies because items sell out and are restocked later.

Just a really nice place to shop in el Centro to find things that you’d probably need to go to the outskirts to La Comer or Soriena to find.

Such as anchovies for pizzas, for instance. 😁

Great store (almost super market), they are located in the historical part of town and have the largest food ingredients and supply selection arround that area. They have a very large selection of national and international items, looks small from the outside but once you walk in it you almost can get lost, :).

Fresh delicious grocery . The best part is the bulk spices.. such a good deal so many flavors in my kitchen😍

They have lots of shelf items, cold cuts, cheeses, nuts...quality things. Quick and easy. Conveniently located in the Centro. Pricey but a must stop for me.

We found some much needed upgraded paper napkins. Bonanza had them and la Comer and Soriana didn't.

This place has everything, except wide aisles. Have fun finding something they don't have!
