The Home Hotel

We were very happy with our choice of "The Home Hotel". The staff was excellent, very friendly and professional. The room was spacious, newly renovated and spotlessly clean. A lot of storage space, bedside tables and plugs on both sides of the bed, good Wi-Fi. There were some power cuts as everywhere in Myanmar, but the hotel fixed it with their generator in short time so AC was running all night if needed. the bed was on the firm side but comfortable enough to have a good night’s sleep. New bathroom with good shower. Highly recommended.
Update: also our second stay was very good. Breakfast has a lot of choices. Central location and Tuktuks readily available for short trips to all central Mandalay sightseeing, restaurants etc. Staff is professional and very helpful. Would always book again.

superb view from the restaurant and corner room. English speaking professional staff from the front to the bell. 24hrs electric w/ 1-2 mins swap. great English and international Hollywood movies. clean, roomy, nice room. great variety and good breakfast.

Bed and comforter quality is good. Housekeeping is well done and the shower's water pressure is satisfying. The breakfast spread is decent and the roof top restaurant offers an awesome view.
If you are smell-sensitive like me, ask for a non-smoking room as some rooms have cigarette smell from the previous dwellers.

Firstly, we booked a non-smoking room for my parents but we were given a non-smoking room with a cigarette smell. Then, we would not wait to long and report to a member of staff at the front. Surprisingly, they managed to move us to another floor with a new room immediately after their check.

Fantastic helpful staff, great rooms, simple but sufficient breakfast on the 10th floor rooftop. What's not to like? Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay at Home Hotel. The staff is extremely friendly and English speaking. The room is very nice and clean and the shower is great. The only downside is the wifi is not very good and is not encrypted. Other than this, no complaints whatsoever.

In addition to the old building with 20 rooms, the HOME Hotel recently launched a new building with over 70 rooms. The two buildings are connected at the second floor with the staircase.

Amazed by how well-furnished this hotel is -- each and every single detail such as customized wood carving of the doors, ceiling and furniture -- this hotel will give you not only the comfort but also the beauty of Asian architecture.

As soon as I entered the hotel, I was attracted by the unique design of the furnitures at the lobby -- you will recognize the pattern of the hotel logo from the chair design.

What I like more is this hotel got a "single room category" which is quite rare for a hotel to have one. There are very few hotels in Mandalay to have this kind of room type and trust me, this hotel got a cheaper and more comfortable single room in the entire Mandalay city.

Clean hotel. Downside can be walking up to the 5th floor with your luggage, but it's a minor hassle unless you're sick. They offer a very nice breakfast and are very helpful arranging buses, taxis, and giving a detailed introduction to Mandalay's sights and restaurants.

Hotel just finished renovation and looks very classy. Fantastic bathrooms, good free breakfast with local mohinga and made on request eggs of your type.

Centrally located. Nice comfortable hotel with contemporary atmosphere. Good service, good room, good room wifi. Breakfast was just ok.

Beautiful carvings from Myanmar done by craftsmen on site as they build the hotel. Each room has woodcarvings that are unique to the hotel.

The rooms are pretty nice. The parking lots are very limited though.
