The restaurant has a variety of curries laid out on the first floor where you can choose your main dishes and then you can dine upstairs in the AC dining room. The vegetables platter is complimentary for every table. Love the pickled side dishes and spice level. Remember to try the local desserts - shwe yin aye (coconut milk with sago, coconut jelly, sticky rice, cendol, and white bread). Great service. Cost was about ~$14USD for 2 people.

The food here is fantastic! 🎉 We had a variety of traditional Myanmarese curries - fish, beef, pork, chicken as well as a variety of salads. 😋

This time, we ended up with a very nice variety of desserts! One tasted just like Chendol and the other like Sago Gula Melaka 😋😋😋 I love the banana cake, in pink, too and had 3 servings ... Maybe four... Hahaha 😆🤣😂

The best myanmar traditional restaurant in Mandalay with buffet lunch and dinning. A lot of side dishes including soup provided and the dishes are so delicious as Burmese style. Customer service is great and aircon room is available for dine in for free of charge. The price is also reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Recommended by the hostel to try this "popular restaurant with Burmese food" and I can tell you now that Yes, it's 5 stars and you need to have the food here!

Soft and extremely tender mutton, 6500 kyats
Perfectly seasoned fish, 6500 kyats
Fresh fruit juice, 2500 kyats
Receiving a hearty soup, rice, vegetable platter with complimentary sauces & dips, and desserts for no extra charge, priceless (literally, free of charge).

I am absolutely satisfied to have chosen this dining location for my one and only dinner in Mandalay. With the great food and service from their attentive staff, the restaurant leaves me hungry for more.

Came here on 26 November 2019. The hospitality was great, and they're able to communicate in English. The atmosphere is quiet, this is a place that you can actually sit and talk to your companies. Price is rather pricey for the locals so you may only see foreigners here (About $4 for a river prawn curry). Don't get fooled by the emptiness, it's not dodgy nor shady, they even provided FREE side dishes and desserts! The food is good, I recommend the river prawn curry, where all the essence of the prawns are mixed together with the curry paste. Also, tea leaf salad is a must try!

That’s an amazing way to introduce yourself to Burma’s cuisine and its hospitality.
The quality and quantity of food is spectacular: with every dish (of 4/5$ value) you get rice, soup and a lot of sides!
So pick up wisely and don’t exaggerate because you won’t have the problem of eat less. Go try this place and when you enter say “Mingalabar” (it means “hello, may you have a prosperous life”).

Fantastic Myanmar(Burmese) restaurant. Here you can taste high-quality traditional Myanmar(Burmese) food in a semi-cozy(it is generally nice but there were some flying insects around) environment. You are definitely getting a fully-filled stomach after visiting here.

Definitely a must try restaurant in Myanmar. The food was delicious. They served every main dish with different side dishes and comes with unlimited rice. This is where we first tried falooda, a delectable dessert. They also served complementary dessert that is a Myanmar traditional food. Everyone in the restaurant greets you upon entering and the service was really awesome.

Very delicious and flavorful. Most of the food are spicy so make sure you can handle that. They offer a wide variety of Traditional Burmese food and the price is slightly expensive. Service was great, efficient and staffs were friendly. Be sure to try the Pork Curry with Dry Mango and Butter Fish. Also, they often come with traditional side dishes and dessert so don’t waste food. Place can be very crowded even though it’s huge. Highly recommended!

Despite being a really big 2 storey restaurant, all the staff here is super nice, smilig, and make you really enjoy your time here. Food is fresh, and arrives quickly, if they need more time to prepare it, they tell you beforehand. At my first visit I even got free snacks and salad. So I paid them a 2nd visit. :)

Clean, reasonably priced for tourists. Friendly English-speaking staff.
The restaurant proudly displays a TripAdvisor logo, so tourists can expect good service. Non-alcoholic drinks 1900 Ks, rice plates 3500 Ks. Full size entrees ~6000 Ks.; the other reviewers were not kidding about the plentiful side dishes, tea salad, and sweets that accompany the entrees!

I only ordered one set of spicy fish in around 6,500 kyat then it came with many small dishes of traditional Myanmar food.
So they were great food and absolutely made me enjoyed :)

Great food and excellent service. Mingalabar is a must try if you're looking for Burmese food but didn't want to risk a trip to gastro hell from street vendors.

Definitely order the Mutton curry with potato and traditional pork curry and tea leaf salad for something different. Be warned that these 3 dishes will serve 3-4 as the servers bring additional accompaniments free of cost (these consist of bowls of potatoes and other traditional Burmese sides). Will definitely be going back for more tomorrow.

The first night in Myanmar we had a Burmese dinner here. It was fantastic and a nice way to begin our 2 week journey in Myanmar. Took pictures of our different dishes which are posted.

Our first night in Mandalay and after some research we got a tuk tuk here.

Worried now that we’ve been spoilt from day 1 as everything was superb.

They give you many complimentary dishes so don’t order too much but we had 1 starter, 2 mains a salad and a side veggies.

With 2 beers it came in at at 23k (wow).

Really friendly service too, let’s just hope we can find other great spots 🤞
