Mingalar Inn

The staff is very friendly and helpful. We are very happy with our stay and the service received. We arrived early morning without a reservation and they were able to give us a free room instantly. After checkout you can also chill in the pool.

We had a twin room in the back for 30$ per night. Worth every penny. Very spatious and clean, very nice service bringing lemon juice to the room without ordering and cleaning + replacing towels daily. The breakfast is also delicious and complete compared to others we have had in myanmar. Plus the nice swimming pool. 5 stars for us, no doubt.

Their complimentary breakfast alone makes Mingalar Inn worth the 5 star rating. Generous portions with a variety of options, including vegan options that even a staunch carnivore could love.
The rooms themselves are cozy and clean with excellent air conditioning.
The staff are kind and helpful.

Nothing to complain about.
The swimming pool is nice and open until 7pm, although too chilly for after 5 pm. Perfect temperature for the day time to cool off, with many lounge chairs available in the sun or shade.
The room is nice and private and the bed is comfortable.
It's in a good location to walk around town.
Offered different night bus options, and had a cheaper option for the same service. We paid 20,000 kyat for a VIP night bus to Yangon compared to 26,000-28,000 from the other night bus companies. Not sure how much travel agencies charge, but this seemed like a good price booking directly from our hotel.
Staff are very friendly and most understand English quite well.
Offer laundry service for 3,000 kyat per kilogram.

I liked to stay in Mingalar Inn. The Hotel is very nice, especially the pool gives you a chance to relax. Also the hosts helped me a lot with ticket bookings, my tickets got canceled to strong rain and the staff supported me in different ways. I will come again.

It is pretty popular hotel. Bcz it is really cost-efficient budget hôtel. Nice and well maintained pool.(not many of hôtels in Nyuang Shwe would have a proper pool)
Nice and simple free breakfast - egg, toast pancake, banana and coffee or tea.
Helpful staff(they are strict for the Check out Time, though)
Standard room is pretty good. No need airconditioner on Feb. I would book here again next time.

Great staff helped organise tours taxi ect and we're especially helpful when I was not well. Those who want five star stop whining and pay it. Nice friendly family run great place no hesitation in recommending. Go for poolside room worth the extra.

Amazing spot with great swimming pool that has enough seats (that changes from my other swimming pool hotels in Myanmar). Great English speaking personnel. Last bus not least, this is a very centric hotel

Service was fantastic. We were treated with lime juice while waiting for our next bus after checking out. The receptionist even took the effort to meet us at the bus stop and return my friend’s power bank which she left at the hotel.

Super beautiful Hotel. Employees were courteous and helped where they could. Breakfast was very good and they provided some local specialties every day. Would love to come here again.

Excellent hôtel in Nyaung Shwe, on a great central location but far from the main traffic.

We had an amazing time here, where we spent 6 nights in total. Absolutely perfect after the trekking from Kalaw.

What we loved :
- The whole staff is so lovely. You got a fresh lemon juice each afternoon, by the pool or in the room
- Buffet Breakfast next to the pool area. Abundant and, here again, the staff is lovely.
- Rooms : had the standard room: really spacious, good bed, comfy mattress, a lounge corner, clean bathroom, etc...
- Price : how could we find a better price for value here? We paid around 20$ per night and got treated like kings.

We checked out at 11am, and they kindly let their guest chill by the pool when waiting for the late afternoon buses : that was awesome.

Nice for the price. Very clean. Very nice staff and pool area. Hot showers. Great breakfast even though it only offers Western foods.

Little gem of a family run hotel. Great rooms and a very inviting pool, perfect for cooling off after a long day of exploring the lake.

Extremely kind staff. We were offered Lemon juice for free when coming back to the room in the afternoon.

We stayed 2 nights and an half day there. Front desk is very helpful in guiding us in sightseeing and transportation arrangements.
