Ostello Bello Nyaung Shwe

The location of the hostel is ideal, they have 24h reception and you can use their showers if, like us, you arrive very early in the morning. The ground floor lounge is always busy which is great to meet fellow backpackers and the have and amazing rooftop bar. Quoting from what other travellers said, its the best hostel in town

Loved this hostel! Rooms and common areas were really clean. Beds and showers on the roof to relax/rest/shower in if you arrive before check in. The activities organized by the hostel are awesome and a great way to explore and meet people. Awesome rooftop which gets busy at night.

One of the major pluses about Ostello Bello is the location. If you're coming in by the night bus which arrives at 6am in the morning, you can easily walk over and avoid the taxi drivers. Check in time is at 2pm, so you can rest on the beds at the rooftop. Otherwise, I was offered a room if I paid a half day rate. There is also a K5000 deposit for the room key and towel. I liked Ostello Bello as there is much energy here and the walls are all tastefully decorated. The double bedroom was spacious and I was pleasantly surprised that the air conditioning had a heater function as well, very important as the temperature at night in December was around 16 degrees. Breakfast in the morning was average - toast with jam and butter, fruit and pancakes. If looking to do laundry, the shops opposite the hostel do charge an affordable K1500 per kilogram. Ostello Bello also organises a number of tours. Boat tours were going at K21000 a boat, which could sit up to 5 people. The hostel is also great as you can hang around the lobby area while waiting for the night bus out of town. You can also take a shower before leaving.

Cool place to stay near to Inle Lake. The location is perfect, stuff very friendly and helpful. We had a double room with a bathroom and it was bright, clean and has everything what we needed. They also have a roof top terrace, great place to grab a beer. It is a very good place to meet new people, so it’s the best place, if you are a solo traveler and look for the company! Highly recommended!

Amazing hostel, lively atmosphere, great murals and paintings, great ambience, comfy rooms, fantastic breakfast, helpful staff, staff helps organize groups for boat rides with least commission unlike other hostels nearby. Can crash at rooftop beds, if it bus arrives early morning, that's a huge plus.

Stayed 2 nights here, private room on the third floor $30AUD a night.

Awesome vibes, great people. Hanging on the rooftop with fairy lights above, a candle on the table and smoking a Burmese cigar (sorry Mum!) can’t be beat.

Lots of extras to help with your stay: free shampoo/soap, hairdryers, laptops, good advice, easy to organise local tours etc from staff at the front.

Lake Inle itself is a day trip - would say staying here made the three days worth it.

Now Ostello Bello - Nyaung Shwe!

A new hostel, but these guys have got things figured out! Conveniently located close to where many long boats for Inle Lake depart from and a good distance from many bars and cafés. The rooms are very well maintained, clean and comfortable and there are great communal spaces to socialise. Ostello Bello puts on loads of social activities to being people together and with the breakfast, tea and coffee is great value.
They have organised boat trips and tours of the region and will ensure you're aware of everything there is to see around Nyaung Shwe.

The staff are friendly and professional and manager Rosta is a great help. He is very open to feedback and wants to ensure everyone has a great time.

We stayed at Ostello Bello both in Bagan and at Inle Lake and our experience was a 10/10.
Clean, comfortable, well located, loads of activities and excellent staff.
If you visit Myanmar on a budget this is a must.

Even better than Ostello Bello Mandalay! Busier (which is good) and of course it has all the good stuff all the Ostellos offer, like free coffee, tea, cigars, etcetera. And of course every day there is happy hour, the cocktails are good and the roof top has nice views and relaxing bamboo chairs. In addition the staff is really kind and very helpfull. A good place to relaxt and meet people from all over the world. Or just to do your thing and explore the beautiful Inle lake.

Feel like home. This hostel is really friendly, and you can see sunrise on the rooftop of the hostel. Staffs are really helpful, furniture are clean and modern.

Very social hostel. It borders on being a party hostel, but the bar closes relatively early. Annoyingly they have the same narrow beds and lack of privacy curtains that all Ostello Bellows in Myanmar have.

The place is so organised and can supply you with all the information you need and also help you plan. The staff is a mix between locals and foreigners, giving back to the community while also having reliable English speaker. The rooms are spacious and clean. Can only recommend - Book online as it's cheaper and they might be fully booked

This was the second Ostello Bello we stayed in while we were in Burma. At the time it was still under construction, but it never interfered with my sleep. They helped organise everything and have some really good tours that you can do.

Ostello Bello Nyaung Shwe, great place as always with Ostello Bello. Clean, efficient, nice food. They are able to book everything for you: tours, buses, trek.. You name it.
You will be able to see the city from above, great roof with decent price at the bar.

Its probably the most beautiful place in Myanmar. Its the best hostel i have stayed in and no other hostels can compare in terms of how nicely decorated the facilities are and the value added services they offer

Stayed awhile here @ostellobello.nyaungshwe and fell in love with it. Great location with clean and spacious double room. Good to know very kind and helpful staff are keeping us feel like home. 5 mins walk to market and boat station to Inle lake. Amazing!!!!

Great hostel, lovely staff.
This area is much more relaxed and quieter than Mandalay.
Don't miss it if you go to Myanmar !

Fun. Whole range of (free and paid) activities to choose from. Rooms and toilets were clean. Service was amazingly friendly and good!

Location was central too. Definitely worth a stay!

best ever hostel. very nice atmosphere and the staff is really nice. I love it so much to be there with million of nice backpackers :)
