I’m in love with Thi Thi and her family! They are the sweetest. Thi Thi responded to emails quickly.

First we each got to pick one curry and one salad. There was also a group soup and appetizer.

Then we had a market tour. There, she bought us snacks and taught us about Burmese foods. We purchased our ingredients and then she sent us in a tuk tuk to her place.

Once we arrived, she presented some snacks and also some delicious roasted sesame and green tea.

We were introduced to all the ingredients. We cooked over charcoal stoves! It was awesome!

The food was so simple, but rich! The use of the different ingredients gave each dish a unique flavor. We cooked a restaurant meal. It was incredible. All for 15000 kyats! She also made us avocado smoothies and gave us a small gift pack of turmeric and green tea leaves!

We came back two days later for the 6000 kyat coconut oil massage. My back was really hurting me but after the intense pressure during the massage, I felt so much better!!!

We left our bags at her place and wandered around Nyaungshwe a bit. Then we returned 3 hours later for a taxi ride to the airport that she arranged for us! It was 16000 total for two people—much cheaper than other rates!!

I highly recommend her place.

We absolutely loved Thi Thi’s cooking class! The food was delicious and she is super friendly and nice. She explains very clearly and her products are really fresh.
The kitchen and restaurant is very clean and tidy.
We prepared 2 salads, 1 apetiser and 2 curries. You can choose what dishes you want to prepare at the begining of the class, which is great!
A must do experience!

Mercury cooking class was the best cooking class I have ever attended. Ma ThiThi and her husband were really warm and sweet, they welcomed into their home kitchen instantaneously. She also brought us around the market and explained all the ingredients patiently and carefully. The best part was that we get to experience cooking over a charcoal stove, something that is not very common these days. Ma Thi also donates part of her class funds to the village children for their education, what a great movement to support. I cannot wait to be back to learn more Shan cooking! Thank you Ma Thi 😊😊

Just finished the cooking class here with Su. What a lovely experience, and more importantly delicious food!! Su came and picked me up at my accomodation, I chose the meals I wanted to make straight away so that we could buy the necessary ingredients at the local market. Su takes you to many stalls to explain the various different types of fruit/veg and what they're used for here in Myanmar (everything is used, nothing wasted which is fab). From the market we go and cook! It was only me today, so I was lucky enough to have Su's attention all to myself. She is patient, kind, friendly and very informative.
I highly recommend for anyone to take this cooking class if you're staying in Nyaung Shwe/Inle Lake.
Thank you Su!

Absolutely great experience with Thi Thi! She began by taking us shopping at the local market, explaining and pointing out different types of ingredients used for our dishes. We prepared the ingredients and with her wonderful guidance created quite a few tasty dishes (I did not photograph every dish as I was hungry by the end!) I highly recommend giving this a try for anyone in the area.

Thi-Thi is very friendly and really good teacher, she and her two daughter taught us a lot about the Birmese kitchen and were very helpful.

We went for the afternoon/evening class so we couldn't do the market. She offered to do the market the next morning and she showed us around for over an hour and give us several things to taste as well. Awesome experience and would recommend it to everybody!

They are very flexible and you can choose what curry and salad you want to make and adjust in the any way you like.

It was an amazing cooking class ! Thithi is very friendly and the receipts are amazingly good !
You go to the market before to choose, try and discover everything.

A truly excellent and wonderful experience! Titi starts with a local market tour to pick up the ingredients for the dishes you've selected to learn to make. This part alone was enough for me! We learnt all about the local produce and how the Myanmar people use them, food or otherwise :). She was also kind enough to purchase small tasters for us to be able to fully experience the culture - this is amazing, thank you!! We then go back to her fully equipped home to prepare currys, salads, Shan noodles, tempuras and sauces. Everything was well thought out including all of the recipes printed out for us to take home. Thank you so much for a lovely experience and I would highly recommend this to anyone and everyone - well worth the money! :D

The owner is so friendly and nice
She took us to traditional market and bought some groceries and explained everything!!!
It was so interesting and special.
Cooking class was also really nice. I could choose what I want to cook and it's easy to make traditional Myanmar foods.
And I liked sharing foods that we made with other people. It was so good.
After class, she gave us the recipe and some gifts.
I 100% recommend this cooking class!!!
It's the best experience in Naung swe I've ever had!!!

I just dropped in for the class after reading the reviews and I turned out to be the only one as it was low season. The instructor ThiThi was so friendly and she took me on a tour around the market and explained everything in detail. She even bought me a bunch of local sweets to try out. She also bought me a bag of brown sugar brittle as a gift to take back home. She taught me 2 additional dishes which turned out to be the best. She basically cooks with you and let's you cater according to your palate. The best part is eating the huge spread. There was so much that she had to pack some stuff for me to take back. Definitely one of the highlights of my Myanmar trip. For 15000 kyat it's a steal. I highly recommend the experience.

(prices below) What an amazing place and a wonderful family. I was a bit skeptical of the 5 star review but it really deserves it. I had 3 massages during my stay here and they were all great. I even got my laundry done here for cheaper than my hotel. I almost did the cooking class because it seems great too, but decided against it.

Massages (1 hour): 10k for an oil massage
6k for foot massage
6k for traditional
6k for back and shoulders

Laundry: 1.5k per kilo

I had such a great time! The food we cooked under the guidance of Tee Tee was the best I had in Myanmar so far! She took us to the market, let us try different things, explained a lot about the food and the local cousin. Highly recommended!

This class should be the top of the list for anyone visiting Inle.

The entire experience was phenomenal from start to finish. Thithi was extremely nice and fun to learn from, both in the market as she showed us some things we do not have at home and as we shopped for our ingredients.

Her and her Husband were then very helpful showing us everything we would use in each dish, how to prepare them and telling us the various ways to alter the dishes to our tastes while also explaining how they would traditionally be made.

We made 7 dishes in total and they were all amazing.

Additionally they are philanthropists who are helping to educate the local children from less fortunate families by teaching them English and donating what they can to help buy school supplies.

I could not give higher praise or recommend the experience more.

First of all, the food that we cooked with Thi Thi was absolutely delicious! More important, it was an amazing experience to cook local food with the local costumes and tastes. Thi Thi guided us all the way during the class, answered every quation we had, explain the process, and all with a great smile and patience. We got our own respite and some spices that we can use at home. Overall, a great and enjoyable experience. I can say that this is where we fell in love in Myanmar's food.

I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this experience with Thi Thi. I learnt to cook a range of burmese food and also had a chance to learn about the local community, the life and opportunities of people in Myanmar. I could not eat all the food and took it to poor families in Thi Thi’s neighbourhood. Thi Thi donates some of the income from cooking to her community and also teaches children in her spare time. It was an honour to meet her and support her small business. I highly recommend to book a class with her! Well done Thi Thi and thank you!!!

We got to choose four dishes each and then, after a Trip to the Market, Cook Them under Instruction. Thi thi the instructor showed and explained us many Things in the market and let US try many foods. She is a very lovely lady and was very good at explaining the recipes to us in detail. So much delicious food! Would definately recommend!

This was amazing!! We went at 1 pm to the market and also helped us finding some other stuff.. Then we went to her kitchen which is at her home and showed us how to cook a curry and to make a salad. We cooked together with her family and the whole experience was perfect. Just great!

We got our laundry done at Mercury and they did a brilliant job, our clothes are so clean, smell fab and are perfectly folded. The cooking class looked fun also but we didn’t have time to go! Price was 1500k per kg so way cheaper than our accommodation.

Great experience learning how to cook with my Friend! We had the opportunity to learn more than unique Myanmar dishes. Needless to say it was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately we couldn’t finish everything had to pack some to go.
