Linn Htet Myanmar Traditional Food / Myo Myo Cooking Class

Our favorite Myanmar traditional food restaurant in Nyaungshwe and also in whole Myanmar! Love their delicious curry and lovely smiles!! 😍❤ We went there 3 times during our stay and tried different dishes, all delicious! Special homemade tea and hot mint honey tea are so good too!

This place serves authentic Burmese food at reasonable prices. The pork curry meal in the picture below cost me 3500 kyats (2.30 USD). I came here more than once during my stay so there are both day and night pictures.

The hosts here are also really friendly and helpful. One of them, Myo Myo, even gave us Burmese names! Do check out Myo Myo's Cooking Class while you're here too. It's definitely a worthwhile experience to remember.

Wonderful local restaurant in Nuangshwe! The food was fabulous and the portions were generous. Good enough that I went a second time and the owner Myo Myo recognised me and welcomed me back. She and the other staff are very sweet and attentive. Great experience for me :)

OMG, the chef and also owner is so CUTEEEE. It is the first delicious meal that I ate when I came to Myanmar. Feel like a family dinner. This dishes is nearly 6.000 kyats. Too cheap

Local restaurant with really tasty curry for very reasonable price (especially compared with overpriced tourist-focused restaurants on the other side of the streed). I had a hearthy beef curry for 3500K, including rice, soup, vegetables and several condiments

The food was great. I like the avocado salad a lot, very delicious.

Real local and authentic place to eat ! (Much more authentic than the two restaurants across the street). But Burmese food is sometimes hard to apprehend so your feelings could be mixed.
This place is running since 22 years old and is held from mother to daughter ! The staff is really charismatic and speaks fluent English.

They also host cooking courses (starting with a market visit, then cooking courses at their house). In February 2019, they were doing a special discount on the courses for their anniversary.

If you want to try local curry, this is a great place. The prices are good and the staff is very friendly.

Great authentic food and friendly staff. The tea leaf salad is fantastic!

Although there r a lot of rice and curry shops around, this one can be called the best after many days in kalaw and inle. The taste is very impressive. I m a fan of pork curry. The pork curry here is only place i can find only lean meat. Normally, i find fat more than meat! The chick pea soup is great too.

This Place serves authentic burmese currys and salads. We tried most of the currys and they all tasted delicious and flavourful. 5 side dishes are included when ordering a curry. Our absolute favorite was the herb salad.

Good local food~ side dish is also good to eat~ price is cheap too!

We booked cooking class with owner Myo Myo and had amazing time with her. She is very charismatic and friendly person. Getting all the ingredients on the market and cooking together traditional Myanmar dishes was truly one of the highlights of our stay on Inle lake. We highly recommend.

Very good food, pretty good choice and quality products. The beef curry was tender and juicy. Curry with side plates 3,500 kyat. Cold local beer on draught for only 1,000 kyat. Impressive.

Excellent Myanmar family food (curry in particular ),staff very friendly, great ginger tea,prices cheap.

Good and tasty food. English spoken. Aboundant meals with drink for less than 5$/person. Very nice staff. Very good curry!

Tofu curry was excellent. Same for the ginger tea.
All for 4.000 kyats, so really cheap and good value.

Amazing food and good service. I usually avoid places feature in the Lonely Planet but this restaurant was amazing. Although, the toilets were in a different building.
