One of the most popular and best cafe in the downtown area. The breakfast here is always good.

Myanmar food typically have a smell and a lot of people don't like that. This place serves good food without any such smell. The kitchen is open and you can see the staff cooking as well.

Fantastic food at a good price (2000 kyat for my meal). Plenty of people eating there but also plenty of space for everyone. Tasty soup also came with our meal.

An open-air café with a good selection of food, frequented by many locals and at very reasonable prices. The whole order you can see on the photo was 4,000 MKK.
The food was tasty and the staff spoke enough English to understand that I do not eat meat or fish.

Pretty nice restaurant in Mandalay area. It is very good that the restaurant has Aircon room available to beat Mandalay heat. A+++

Full English menu with photos of each dish, seems like a very popular place, many local people here. Tea, coffee, shaded outdoor seating.

The steamed dimsums are a great choice for breakfast. Had them with a cup of milk and I was full.

There are too many tea shops in Mandalay. Tea shop culture is also part of Mandalay's daily life since my grand parents period or may be even longer before.

This tea shop is operating in Mandalay for as long as I can remember and they are really famous for keeping their food's quality, taste and hygine standards.

The shop is really spacious and clean. They serve typical tea shop menus that you would expected from a teashop.

One of thier outstanding menu is "Typical Myanmar tea" which is order to serve green tea with 4 taste to choose from. That tea menu is a must try when you visit the shop.

All of their foods are great taste and reasonable priced.

Since the shop is really popular, finding a car parking when you go there is a huge hussle. Except from that it is a great shop to enjoy your breakfast or have a quick meal or snack anytime of the day.

They have several locations in Mandalay, but I imagine they’re all about the same. We arrived around 8am on a Friday, and it was busy but not packed. Service was fast and friendly despite the lack of English spoken. As other reviews mention, the menu is not in English but has pictures with the English name of each dish. We tried the mohinga (had to) and schwe taung (our favorite) and had a couple servings of piratha, which we had been craving. We topped it off with a sweet treat - I’m not sure of the name, but it was basically a roll of fried dough that was served with sugar (we saw it on someone else’s table and pointed to it to ask for it since we didn’t see it on the menu). All of that plus two teas cost us under $4 for two people.

Went to this tea house; a must do as to explore Myanmar; tea happened to be mostly small bites but I had their mee shay, celone tea and a dessert to go with, NgaPyawPound. Although cafe was busy with lots of customers almost full, waiter greeted as soon as stepped into their cafe and came by regularly to check everything ok.

I think the only tea shop that had a chance to serve Daw Aung San Su Kyi in Mandalay. Always busy but you will always find a table to sit and once you are there, everything will be taken care by waiters.

A nice somewhat decent presentation of the Burmese breakfast food stalls. Pay a visit if you want good range of choices for reasonable prices accompanied by a good service.

Perfect place to have breakfast. This place is very popular among the locals and can be really crowded. Recommended to try their samosa and tea.

Chapati is highly recommended here - tamarin sauce is their signature! Milky tea is also nice and has strong taste 😍😋
