Ibis Styles Hotel Mandalay

First time to this new hotel opened less than a year ago. Not in mandalay city centre but still an okay location with few restaurants nearby.
The front desk ladies at check in were polite and helpful especially the courteous one conversant in mandarin. All other service staff such as bellboy, housekeeping and cafe were also hospitable especially the kind, helpful poolside bar staff and gym staff.
Rooms had a good city view and were comfortable, modern and clean as were the bathroom. The wifi was above average but can sometimes cut off as did the power but i doubt this intermittent wifi/electricity was the fault of the hotel.
There is also a modern gym and an adult pool, not huge but sufficient for laps but due to it not being indoor, the water was super cold. 🥶
Best part of my two night stay was the nice breakfast buffet with western and local dishes. Nice local noodles, tea, latte, pastry and eggs made to order. Their choice of western dishes was also good such as their steak dinner.
Due to our event in their ballroom, we enjoyed corporate rates which was decent. However, i felt that their hotel rack rates of above $90 were slightly overpriced.
Overall, i still plan to return as long as i get to enjoy corporate rates but might find elsewhere if ordinary rates apply.

Brand new hotel, the reception staff are terrific going above and beyond. They helped with taxis and recommendations. The breakfast was great a nice mix of Myanmar and western. The pool area is wonderful too, although a little pricer than other options in the area.

Price increase, but the buffet is the same. Overall the food is ok. Just not sure if it is 25000 ok
