Arriving at Mandalay airport I met Pwa Gyi, this extraordinary tour guide and owner of Yadanabon Kingdom Travel Agency. Not only that he knows and loves his country very well, besides he is a man with a golden heart, loving the people. He can show you around not only in Mandalay and surroundings but also off the beaten track so that you will learn a lot about Myanmar! A tour to Chin State in Western Myanmar with him I will never forget, he showed us the ladies weaving beautiful designs or where the monsoon floods had caused landslides....
He can show you all the birds and beauties of nature! He knows and respects other cultures as well as his own. To have him and his wife Htwe Htwe as a guide is really wonderful, because they always look for your well-being, even speak some German.. Last time we went to Bamo (Bhanmaw) visiting this awesome bamboo-bridge the people of the villages rebuild every year because the monsoon takes it away every time. The prices of Yadanabon Kingdom Travel Agency are low and fair.
I can recommend Yadanabon Kingdom to all those who want to experience real Myanmar!!!

I had the opportunity to know Pwa Gyi and his company not only as friends but in a professional context. Realizing productions for TV is not always easy in Myanmar, and Pwa Gyi and his company have been reliable partners for some shootings of documentaries for french/german tv-channel ARTE. He is able to get the necessary permits for a shooting and also a good choice for research and translation. When in Mandalay and northern Myanmar I would be happy to work with hin again.

Pwa Gyi/Paul is the person to ask when you have any questions regarding your travels in Myanmar. He will help you with your flight ticket (as he did for us), he will recommend remote and not so touristy areas for tracking/walking/chilling or he will just show around mandalay and take you to awesome restaurants (as he did for us as well)
If you are at his agency Pwa Gyi will invite you to his home, treat you as family and will try everything to make your wish come true while his lovely wife is serving you fruits or a tea

Este verano decidimos viajar a Myanmar. Tras pedir varios presupuestos a distintas agencias solicitando los servicios de chofer y guía finalmente optamos por contratar con Yadanabon Kingdom.
Ko Pwa Gyi siempre nos atendió con rapidez y profesionalmente por mail en inglés y nos asesoró sobre cómo mejor hacer el recorrido que nosotros habíamos programado.
Tiene su oficina en la parte baja de una casa en las afueras de Mandalay y nos recibió de una manera muy cálida y hospitalaria.
hacer nuestro viaje con esta agencia fue en todo caso un gran acierto ya que nos fuimos encontrando con conductores y guías muy profesionales qué tuvieron en cuenta nuestras preferencias y nos ayudaron y acompañaron en nuestro circuito, ayudándonos a conocer un poco más sobre la cultura y gentes de este interesante país.

Um Myanmar wirklich kennenlernen zu können kann ich euch Pwa Gyi und sein Team mehr als nur empfehlen. Von der guten englischsprachigen Kommunikation, der Betreuung vor Ort bis hin zur Detailplanung der einzelnen Stopps ist man hier wirklich perfekt beraten. Die einem dabei entgegengebrachte Freundlichkeit und Lebenslust ist wirklich einzigartig.
Es wird von Beginn an versucht sämtliche Wünsche zu erfüllen ohne dabei den Blick vom wesentlichen abzuwenden und ein echtes Gespür für dieses wundervolle Land zu entwickeln.

Egal ob touristische Orte wie Bagan oder weit ab vom Tourismus Pwa findet immer eine perfekte Lösung. Was für uns dabei sehr wichtig war, war dass das Ganze im Einklang mit Land und Leute passiert. Genau dieser Wunsch steht auch bei Pwa und seinem Team an erster Stelle. Das ist bei seinem Engagement in verschiedenen Gemeinden wirklich hautnah zu erleben.

Myanmar ist stellenweise nicht leicht zu bereisen, da einige Region an gewisse Restriktionen gebunden sind. So ist beispielsweise von Nöten lokale Kontakte als Guides vorweisen zu können. Auch hier ist Pwa eine absolute Hilfe. Und die Eindrücke die man dadurch erhält sind oft einzigartig.

Als Resümee ist eine eindeutige Empfehlung für sämtliche Altersklassen auszusprechen. Egal ob Backpacker (wie ich) oder Reisegruppen, hier ist man sehr gut aufgehoben.
