Ayarwaddy River View Hotel

I recently stayed at this hotel, and it left me with mixed feelings. On the positive side, the room was quite spacious, offering plenty of room to move around, and the view from my room was quite enjoyable. The staff members were courteous and provided convenient service throughout my stay. Another plus was that I never experienced any power outages, ensuring a comfortable stay.

Moreover, the hotel's location is excellent, with several good restaurants nearby, making dining options easily accessible. Additionally, the pricing was reasonable, offering decent value for the accommodations.

However, one aspect that didn't quite meet my expectations was the breakfast. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the standards I had hoped for. Overall, it's a decent hotel with some strong points, but improvements in the breakfast department would make it a more well-rounded choice.

We found the location good, although a little noisy if you are relaxing in the garden next to the pool, we rented bicycles which meant getting around Mandalay was easy. That said, it's location would make evening outings a little more difficult.
The staff were really friendly, the room ( river view, but try to get a high floor, ours on second floor had no view) was fine. The outstanding feature is the sky bar rooftop deck where happy hour whisky sours are served with great sunset views over the Ayarwaddy river

Just loved the place. It's a bit out of the way, being right on the water, and perhaps the location is a bit . . . gritty for you. There's a street market a block away, and right across the street along the river are . . . either people selling things or a homeless camp. If you're not an isolationist tourist, though, you'll probably enjoy the local color. It's exciting and cool and the people couldn't be friendlier. (I thought a girl at the market wanted $3 for a flower necklace. Nope: she returned most of the money, and her curious friends laughed. It was thirty cents.)

The hotel itself is excellent, and the rooms are fine. Considering we're talking about rates around $40 a night, I'd say this is a don't-miss.

Beautiful hotel amazing staff and service large room. Rooftop bar with amazing views and good food. Nice pool. Only con is the neighborhood by the river across the street not the best and it's a shame because the hotel is amazing

Comfortable large size room with all amenities we needed. The hotel also has a nice swimming pool. Front desk staff were extremely helpful with booking tours, bus tickets and looking after luggage when we went away for a night. Would highly recommend

nice view, good rooms in very nice style with a lot of wood, super friendly staff and that view from roof top bar.... so unforgetable sunsets with a daily free drink... just the perfect place in Mandalay.

Great place for dinner with beautiful sunsets over the river. Food is ok. The free cocktail is goof too. 😁

You can see the famous Ayarwaddy River from the rooftop, the hotel also have puppet show on the night
