If we could give his restaurant 10 stars we would, the food is out of this world.

Starting from the service to the taste is like no other we both agreed that this food here is the top 3 we have ever had in our lifetime, they make it look effortless but it’s quality is unmatched.

You get given water with your food and rice comes at no cost! As much as you want as they like to focus on the main food!!

We had the pumpkin curry and the butter bean curry for the amazing price of 2000kt per person!

They even do a cooking class!! 8-11am or 5pm-8pm for 20,000 trust me you’d want to do it.

The family now runs a summer school for kids too and welcome volunteers to teach there!

We will be back and we can’t recommend this enough !

They have cute dogs too ! Ones called happy and loves to be stroked!

Truly deserving of all of the positive comments, and lives up to its reputation. The food and cocktails were delicious needless to say, and the recipes are shared online afterwards.

As there was just two of us, we cooked 3 dishes each. I've definitely picked up a few new ingredients to use myself. The instructions from Lesli were very easy to follow, so the course is very accessible for people of all abilities. It's also great to see a business supporting local charities. The banter with Lesli and the food made this experience truly unforgettable!

Ok,so I loved the cooking experience as well as going to the market and asking tons of questions to Leslie about local ingredients. Leslie took our group around and bought many ingredients which we prepared. Cooking went very smooth and although it was 8 of us cooking, there was space for each of us and the interaction with our hosts Sue and Leslie was excellent at all times.
I'd do it again :D

Wow. One of the most amazing experiences I've had in the last months. The whole family was so kind, and it was just amazing enjoying the experience with them and talking to them. Also the food was incredible and we were taught to make delicious food, which actually came out incredible! It was so delicious! We did the course in the evening, and Lesley told us so much about Myanmar and his own life, it was just fascinating to hear and really inspiring. It was really fun meating Lesley and family.

This was my first coming class and i liked it very much, the nice way they use to teach you is very good. The difference kind of food we prepared was then our lunch and everything was excellent and super tasty. It takes you 2,5 hours until your finished. I can completely recommend it.
Btw they have even a restaurant at the first floor. A dinner there is a must.

A wonderful place in busy Nyaung Shwe / Inle Lake. The food is delicious, very fresh, local and healthy. It's my second time in Myanmar and the food at Bamboo Delight is definitely the best I had in all of Myanmar.
Sue and Leslie are very welcoming and warmhearted hosts.

This was one of our best experience in Myanmar and by far the best food we had! Leslie and Jewel were so nice and amazing teachers, always happy to answer any question. Also the shopping at the market in the morning was super interesting as Leslie explained us everything and was creating a menue that we also would like and include foods we would like to cook.

I only can warmly recommend this experience‘ it will be one of your highlights!

We had a great experience cooking with Leslie. He was very kind to curate a dinner menu with dishes we have not tried yet in Myanmar. We learned so much about fruit, plants, vegetation and how to utilise other fresh ingredients in a variety of ways. By far, this was the best meal we ate and it was coupled with even better company. Their joy for cooking, open home and very generous hearts serve as a beacon to their community. Thank you for a wonderful time!!!

A one of kind place in Myanmar. This is both the best restaurant we visited during our stay (we ate there a total of 4 times over a week) and the cooking class was an amazing experience. If that wasn't enough, Leslie and Sue's cooking school and restaurant help finance their summer English school. They also take book donations if you have spare books !

I am so happy I discovered Bamboo Delight. This is by far the best restaurant I have been to while travelling around Asia. Food is absolutely amazing! And the prices are good. I've been to more expensive restaurants and non of them even compare to this one. I guarantee best curry you've ever tried. I ate here every day while visiting Inle Lake. You can tell Leslie puts his heart into every meal he makes. This place has such a friendly atmosphere and family feeling. I also did cooking class and I loved it. He is a good teacher and everything we made was delicious. Leslie and his wife Sue also started summer school to provide free English lessons to local kids which is such a wonderful thing to do. I highly recommended, you won't be disappointed.

Would highly recommend.

The whole experience was exceptional and the cooking was tailored for a vegan diet. We received a warm welcome and the owners are reflection of everything that is great about Myanmar and its people.

The food was exceptional and when finished cooking we had so much delicious fresh food to eat.

An exceptional experience that I'm sure will make us smile for many years to come.

What a great place for learning how to cook Burmese food. Sue & Lesley are just two wonderful persons who do this with real passion. We booked the cooking class just the evening before by walking to their place and it was no problem. Even we had about 12 people in one cooking class it was a great experience. They have also a great staff who takes care of you. You'd better go to the morning class (9am-1.30pm) as you will go to the local market together. The evening class is only cooking. (5-8pm!?)
The price is 20.000kyat and they spent 15% of it to a charity organization for kids. So if you can, bring some useful things for children which you can donate. This place is highly recommend!

This place was one of the highlights of our trip. We signed up for a cooking class, but we got so much more than that out of it. The work that Leslie, Sue, and team is doing with the kids through their summer program and library is a truly inspiring labor of love.

As for the cooking class itself — we enjoyed the market tour in the morning and then loved everything that we cooked. All of the recipes were new to us yet simple enough that we can (hopefully) recreate at home with the recipes they provided to us. We also got to meet some kids from their summer program, who helped out with the class and practiced their English with us.

We wish them all the best and hope that others visiting the area will visit them and support their business.

The food is very good. We had a grilled fish, vegetables tempura, avocado salad - everything was fresh, spicy but not too much, sauces were perfectly balanced. It's the best food we had in Myanma.

The owner also created a summer school for local children so by eating there their delicious food you support a good cause.

So come here, eat here!

Between the enthusiasm of Leslie and Sue, their kindness, their warm welcome and their delicious recipes, the cooking class was a true sharing experience. It is not often that you meet such genuine people.
Definitely recommend it! Do not hesitate to go there for dinner too!

Our first cooking class and an amazing experience.
Leslie is an extremely friendly and knowledgeable guy. He showed us a a lot things around the market and helped us cook one of the best meals we had in Myanmar.
Also very good value at 20,000 kyat per person for the class and 1,500 kyat for a glass of wine while 'working'.

Leslie and Sue were kind enough to book me in last minute for the afternoon class despite not having a class plannes. The cooking lesson and knowledge shared about burmese food was amazing. What made the class one of my highlights of my trip was sharing the experience with the whole family and learning about the family themselves.
I ended up going past the next day to have a chat and had a fantastic chicken coconut curry made for me

We heard rave reviews about Bamboo Delight from some other travelers, but we didn’t have enough time for the cooking class, so we stopped in just for lunch. We ended up getting a cooking demonstration, a delicious and very reasonably priced lunch, and a nice chat with the very friendly and welcoming people who run it. I’ll definitely come back for the cooking class if I have an opportunity in the future.
