Really great experience, saw many different animals while walking around. Very vibrant and wonderful atmosphere however I didn't see a Lion, Zebra, Giraffe and Hippo together. The monkeys were nice though.

It's a fun place if you don't want to get out to one of the national parks or reserves and just see some animals and the variety of plants Madagascar has right here in Tana! Locals basically go in for free, we opted not to have a guide and just roamed around on our own. We had a fun time on their manual ferris-wheel... it was a person jumping on it and pulling it down by force, so fun!

We visited only thebotanical gardens as we already had seen the lemurs at the National Park. The guide was very knowledgeable about the endemic plants. We learned how fig trees can co-exist with palm trees; saw several boabob trees; and toched velvety plant called Napoleon hat. The tour lasted 1,5 hours with a short break at the cafe. Would highly recommend to families with children and nature lovers. On Sunday, the park was busy with locals.
