Le Chalet des Roses

Rooms are comfortable with kitchenette and good bathrooms. Despite being in the city it is on a quiet street. Staff are friendly and very helpful (even helping exchange currency when we missed the closing time for the exchange office). There is an adjoining restaurant that has a nice atmosphere and good food.

Wife and I stayed at the hotel and ate here. Hotel was plenty good (at the end of our trip when we stayed here we had a room with a window to the elevator shaft... how cool is that!?) But the food was great I thought. Think there may have been a side dish I didn't like but that's on me, wife thought it was good. Seen some people have a gripe about the service. Wife and I really liked it. They leave you alone till you get there attention, usually just by eye contact. And there was always someone out there ready to help. On the topic of the servers we usually had Cedra (?), really hope that's how you spell his name. I liked him! Seriously no complaints.

Amazing hotel with amazing restaurant. The rooms are complete (bathroom with towels, table/office, chair, window, very comfortable beds…)
The vibe is very good.
I recommend the “stracciatella ice cream” in this restaurant of Italian specialities.

Good hotel for quality/price!

Beautiful place in the centre of Antananarivo. They take care of free bodyguards which guide you through the city in the dark, that is an experience. Staff is very friendly.

Sono italiana che va in Mada spesso per lavoro e famiglia, e questo hotel (gestito da italiano gentile Maurizio) è perfetto per chi desidera partire verso est o il sud.

Staff cordiale, preparato e molto sorridente sia nella ristorazione che alla reception.Trova sempre una soluzione a problematiche del soggiorno.

Cibo di ottima qualità, cotto bene e variegato. Cucina italiana, come malagasy e un po' cinese. Colazione ampia e veloce.

Camere pulite, gentilezza delle donne delle pulizie al massimo! E servizio di lavanderia economico.
Provare per credere!

Hôtel in un quartiere centrale di Tana, lo Chalet è ormai il porto sicuro per tutti gli italiani in Madagascar. Maurizio, il proprietario, è un faro nella notte per tutti coloro che passano di qui. Oltre che per l’ottima cucina e l’ambiente accogliente, è per Maurizio che decine di italiani ed europei passano da qui.
Il ristorante serve ottimi piatti di cucina tipica italiana, notevoli soprattutto i primi (pasta fresca fatta in casa)
La pizza è preparata con ingredienti rigorosamente italiani.
L’arredamento del ristorante è quasi interamente made in Italy.
Le camere dell’hôtel sono sobrie, spaziose, fornite di tutti i confort.
La pulizia di tutto l’hotel è impeccabile.
Se volete passare un momento sereno sentendovi come a casa, andate allo Chalet des roses.
Maurizio vive in Madagascar da oltre trent’anni e la sua conoscenza del Paese può rivelarsi utile in varie occasioni.

Parfait pour les pizzas et pour trouver une ambiance italienne. Je trouve la terrasse intérieure sympa et les plats "italiens" ainsi que les cocktails sont parfaits. Un incontournable à Tana

Una sosta obbligata, di ritorno da un viaggio metà turismo e metà volontariato, in questo bell' hotel vicino al centro di Tana. Camere pulite. Personale gentile alla reception e al ristorante dove,a parte i piatti italiani, direi buoni, c'è una vasta scelta. Anche per vegetariani, come le mie compagne di viaggio. È tutto espresso, quindi non abbiate fretta.Io ho mangiato anche la pizza, bassa come piace a me. Dessert ottimi.

Ottimo hotel de charme nella grande capitale del Madagascar. Gestione accurata da proprietario e manager italiani.
Il recente ascensore facilita l accesso alle camere. Ottimo il ristorante adiacente della stessa proprietà.

Top comme dhabitude lorsque je fais une halte à Tana.
Les chambres sont confortables.
Le lit topissime
Le personnel est prevenant et rigoureux.
Le resto du sous-sol est bon surtout le steak de zébu saignant au poivre vert en sachant que je naime pas la viande. On peut se laisser aller à même manger de la salade sans appréhenssion.
Le bar est sympa aussi.
Tu peux demander des tisanes de mémé de ton choix : moi gingembre, citron, miel à 3000 arias.

Cazare foarte bună, exemplu de curățenie: prosoape albe, cearceafuri foarte curate, presiune foarte bună a apei. Am stat aici în ultima zi, la plecare, pentru ca influențați de recenzii am ales Sakamanga pentru prima zi a noastră în Madagascar. A fost o foarte mare greseala: prețul a fost dublu, iar condițiile de cazare foarte proaste. Recomand Le Chalet des Roses!
