This place is amazing. Absolute paradise and the food is incredible. We were going to camp in our campervan - the facilities are amazing but when we saw the amazing rooms we decided to use the hotel! Highly recommended for camping or hotel! They also let us bring our cat into the room to stay with us too!

Very nice place with everything you need. Clean and modern showers (hot water) and toilets with lots of space. Also a beautiful view over the mountains and the village. The host was welcoming and available for questions. Wifi worked well. Would come back at any time.

I had an incredible stay at "Dar Ahansal"! Youssef, our host, truly made our experience unforgettable with his hospitality and kindness. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and the chef's cooking was absolutely delicious, with beautifully presented dishes.

The authentic building style of Dar Ahansal added a unique charm to our stay, and Youssef's stories about the building's history, shared in his memory books, added a fascinating layer to the experience.

The location was perfect, situated near the river, allowing for leisurely walks and convenient trips to the nearby souk. The cleanliness of the place was impeccable, and the view from our room was simply breathtaking.

One of the highlights was when Youssef arranged for local groups to perform in front of us, creating a magical atmosphere that truly immersed us in the local culture. I can't recommend Dar Ahansal enough; it's a hidden gem with exceptional hospitality, delicious cuisine, and unforgettable experiences. A solid 5/5 stars!

Dar Ahansal exceeded all my expectations. Nestled in the stunning Atlas Mountains, it offers breathtaking views and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Our son & daughter-in-law brought us here to experience the culture, the hospitality and the sheet beauty at this hotel and surrounding Berber village. It was one of the most amazing cultural experiences we have ever had! The hotel and grounds are beautiful. The scenery was stunning. The accommodations were quaint, clean, comfortable. The service was genuine, caring, attentive without being overbearing. The food was over the top! Dinner in the hotel's restaurant, breakfast brought up to the salon outside our rooms, what more could one ask for!?!?!
Then just before we left, when we didn't think it could get any better, we saw their gift shop, asked them if they could open it, and found amazing, well made, high quality gifts for many of our family and friends! I highly recommend you take the time to take the drive to this wonderland, and stay at least two nights to let the whole experience soak in!

Outstanding hospitality, lovely architectural style and tasty food.
We got there without a reservation in the evening and our two lovely hosts (unfortunately we don’t know their names, but they were an incredible duo - cook & receptionist) opened the place for us and prepared a super tasty dinner, which was better than anything we had in Marrakech.
Overall, the whole trip to this rather remote place is worth the effort just to stay here, although the journey and the landscape are also quite spectacular. Looking forward to come back and hopefully to meet the duo again!

It was a pleasure to come back after so many years, over 20 to be exact. Impresive stone architecture and great decorations. I had to camp as it was full, but it was really worth it.

Dark Ahansal is highly recommended. The rooms are very clean and the view is spectacular. Dinner and breakfast are served properly. They really thought well to position the table and have a perfect view. Saeed and Fatima provided top class service

Beautiful room with balcony. Gorgeous location for breakfast and dinner on the roof terrace or under the tree. Attentive service from Saeed and Fatima. A quiet , calm restpite.

It is a nice establishment. Very welcoming staff and very delicious food. It is well decorated. I would recommend going to this place. One little shortcoming is almost no network in the zaouiat ahansal village.

Dar Ahansal is a little jewel hidden in the far-off mountains of High Atlas, sitting in a very lovely valley, surrounded by green terraces of farmed pieces of land. Youssef, the owner, is very welcoming. The place is marvellous, made of local stones, and very well maintained, especially for being that remote. The meal was tasty and refined. We stayed only one night, but we really enjoyed the place and would certainly recommend it to anyone who needs a quiet and peaceful place after a treck or as a stop on the way.

Splendid place in a wonderfull mounainous landscape. What an excellent and sharming team with Youssef, Fadma and Said. The rooms are very clean pieces of art. The food is EXCELLENT with local ingredients. We will be surely coming back. Thanks to the whole team.
