Bivouac Les Nomades& desert tours

One of its kind experiences! Memories of the time spent in the desert are incredible!
Found this place on the map, saw 5/5 rating, seen it's well far away into desert and never regretted it. Found their contact and got the best ever ride through the fantastic world of Berber people right to the desert through many attractions of nature, where was warmly welcomed with BBQ style meal, tea, vegetables all kinds, fruits platters, and lost of kindness. We slept in the tent size of good bedroom with warmest blankets. The next day morning on the horizon we say camels with a men in blue. He and his coziest camels brought us through high infinite dunes to the small shadow oasis, where we allocated our camel, carpets and delicious at spot made food picnic 🧺. With sun on zenith we enjoyed small sand-storm worms walking far away yet visible well. Ah, didn't it pass one or two hours and our camels roamed around beyond a few dune hills, in search for spiky bushes to eat. We collect our camels team all together, picnic wrapped down and we headed back to the camp. We are all happy and a well overwhelmed by excitement. The evening slowly turns to the night. Stars pops and assembles in constellations and even galaxies you will see. Our warmhearted hosts cooked their signature desert meal in the form of Tajin. We played music on drums, singing together authentic traditional and not so traditional songs, which keeps playing in my mind till now, a week into I'm back to Europe my home. There are a lot of other memories and moments of fun, joy, exploration, pleasure surprises and most importantly time being with people who live with nature, the one given there.
For anyone who is in doubt, I invite you to trust my experience and be sure - this place, this camp, these people are the right choice!

Amazing place to discover what living in the desert really means! Sleeping in a cozy tend, eating traditional food, drinking tea at the fireplace. In the middle of the dunes, the silent of the desert embraces you and there is no better place to relax, calm down and enjoy the sun rise and going down. If you prefer to explore the area just ask Mustapha and he will take you around! He knows all the area and have a lot of stories to tell and smiles to share! Mustapha organized for us a 10-day trek in Sahara and it was fantastic! We lived with a caravan, slept under the stars, explored dunes and embraced the magic of the desert. Bivouac des Nomads was the hidden gem on our way, it was such a pleasure to take a shower and to sleep in a bed after several days of trekking. And finding a bottle of cold Cola in the middle of nowhere was truly a miracle!
Mustapha is a great guy, over these 10 days he became more than a guide – he became a friend. Always cheerful, always helpful, always taking care of us.

I just happened to find Bivouac des Nomads by chance on line and then on checking the reviews I was astonished to see a perfect score from 150 reviews. This company led by the charming and attentive Mustapha was just perfect offering me a two night desert experience staying at their camp in the desert even though I was a single traveller and I gave them less than 24 hours notice. My driver/guide, Sain, was excellent - a great cook, knowledgeable driver and good companion. Thank you.

Beautiful place in the fringe of the Erg. You can feel the loneliness of the desert in this beautiful place. We loved it and recommend if you want to experiment desert from Foum Zguid !!

Amazing experience. Worth to visit not only the dunes but also all the nearby rock formations and mountains because they are all one of a kind. The way to the camp from Foum Zguid is adventure one of a kind.

My son arranged a 4-day tour for four people from Marrakesh to the Sahara from 26-29 September.

I thought I would like to let you know how much we enjoyed the trip.

Our guide/driver, Hamadou, was excellent. As well as being a careful driver, he was an excellent guide and was an excellent navigator, even in a sandstorm managing to find the Bivouac Les Nomades. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with him – he made our trip very special.

He was also very informative about life in Morocco, how the Government was helping rural communities and the changing opportunities for women in these areas. This gave us some insight to life away from the cities. The time we spent in the desert was particularly impressive, especially the landscape and above all the stars at night!

We very much liked the selection of hotels, including the unique experience of the camp in the middle of the dunes, as well as the various places we stopped along the route.

All four of us would recommend the trip.

A fabulous family experience -- My wife and I spent two nights with our 10 and 11 year old daughters in amazing place. We drove ourselves to Foum Zguid where we met Mustapha (owner) at the Restaurant Chegaga, where we had lunch. We left our car and jumped into the back of an old Land Rover and were taken on the most amazing, sensory-overloading tour through, across and through quite-incredible desert cliffs, plains and dunes. The camp is a permanent installation with comfortable double beds, clean linen and a good supply of blankets. We wanted for nothing, and were totally looked after by our two hosts (guides, drivers, cooks, waiters,…) Our girls loved climbing the dunes at sunset, riding camels and visiting the local village too. I recommend spending two nights in the camp, taking the time to absorb the total silence, then stars and the possibility of Omar Sheriff appearing on the horizon.

A place in midst of the Dunes. Where calmness and the absence of distraction invite to dive into a glimpse of what life in the Sahara looks like. We really enjoyed doing so
Mustafa and Mohammed were two really caring hosts one would be happy to call them friends. Definitely recommend.

thank you for the nice tour. I really enjoyed everything about it, the view, the food, the evening fires, the music, the singing and so on. It was also nice, because we were are really harmonic group and everything worked really well.
I can recommend this tour, if you like adventure and being outside seeing new parts of the world, while living a simple life for the time.

Amazing tour with Mustapha from Foum Zguid to his camp in the Chegaga desert. The ride with his 4x4 was wonderful. Great, refreshing stop along the way.
The camp was just next the the big dunes near lake Iriki. The beds were super comfy and the food Mustapha prepared during the days was delicious.
All in all it was an amazing desert experience with a wonderful host. Guys, dont miss to come here!! Thanks friend to take well care of us!! See u again!!

Mustapha is a wonderful Person, a kind guy with the most infectious laughter. Since he grew up in the desert he knows his way around and is always willing to share his knowledge.
He is also very open-minded and ready to discuss his view on anything from local or national topics to the great problems of the world.
While his team unfortunately didn‘t speak english they are still always happy to communicate and help.
I will always cherish my time in the Sahara with them.

I had an amazing time, Mustafa is such a great host! Always in a good mood and knows the desert like no one else (no wonder, he grew up on a small farm in the middle of the Sahara). He showed us so many amazing things like lizards, snakes, scorpions (of course with a save distance) and told us so many interesting facts about the desert, like which plants to use if you are attacked by scorpions etc. He also took us to some real special secret places like a lake in the middle of the desert. His English skills are perfect, no problems to communicate at all. All in all a once in a lifetime experience which I would recommend anyone.
