Paradise. Fantastic location, great staff, good rooms. REALLY nice staff - I was ill and they went so far out of their way to help me. Food was good, shower was hot with good pressure (important when you've spent the day motorbiking in the desert) and the pool was delightful. Somewhere you could take the family.

We did not stay in the hotel, but it made very good impression and served good lunch. We went there to hire a 4x4 with driver/guide for a 2day trip to Chegaga desert, which service they offer. And it was amazing. Much recommended if you want a desrt experience far from the crowds.

We loved this hotel on the edge of the desert! We stayed one night after leaving a desert camp. The hotel rate included dinner and breakfast, both buffet style and both really nice. The pool area was lovely, our children thoroughly enjoyed swimming whilst we relaxed. Our family room was huge and well appointed, the air conditioning worked very well. The grounds were very lush and tropical, all rooms were on the ground floor.
On the whole we would highly recommend Bab Rimal as a lovely stop off on the way to/from the desert.

Staying at Bay Rimal after a long and dusty drive was a perfect stop over on our way to M'Hamid. The traditional room was charming and comfortable . Great meals formula (set menu and buffet) . Wild oasis surrounding . The hotel was busy. They also allow camping cars to stop over.

Hotel Bab Rimal is a charming boutique hotel located in the heart of the historic medina of Chefchaouen, Morocco. The hotel offers 16 comfortable rooms and suites, each uniquely decorated in a traditional Moroccan style with hand-painted tiles and colorful fabrics. The rooms come equipped with modern amenities such as air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and flat-screen TVs. The hotel also features a lovely rooftop terrace with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and the medina. This hotel also offers a stop over for Motorhomes, the parking for Motorhomes is located in the car park at the side of the swimming pool. Great place to stop on Route R12. Electric is good at a stable 240v, toilet and shower block for use, however the hot water relies only on solar to warm the water which is not quite hot enough for a good shower. WiFi available free in the hotel.

Bab Rimal is a beautiful place with a beautiful swimming pool and cozy rooms. Bari and its team are very welcoming and careful with their guests. He also organizes private trip with 4x4 and driver to the desert, that was a magical experience !
Highly recommended to backpackers who need a break and comfort during the road trip!

I loved this hotel. It occupies a huge area and the room are spread out all over the property. The reception, bar and restaurant are in one building and overlooks the pool. The pool itself is big and clean with sun loungers and tables to sit around in the open. Staff is excellent and helpful. Food is great and there is a huge variety. After eating tagines for a while it was a wonderful surprise to eat spaghetti and meatballs. They were delicious! We also got chicken and beef brochette at the buffet! That's something I haven't seen anywhere else!
The rooms are spacious though a little spartan in decor, but the beds are super comfy. The bathrooms are also pretty big with separate toilet, basin and shower areas with privacy between them. Outside the room there was a small table with 2 chairs. We really appreciated this, as we had our coffee sitting there listening to birdsong in the cool early morning.
They are also developing an area for campers and large caravans. We met some people who had been traveling from Germany in their camper.
All in all for me, this hotel was by far one of the best hotels I've stayed in on my 15 day trip to Morocco, but that of course is my personal opinion! 😁

Maybe there was a renovation, but I cannot see how the bad reviews for the rooms emerged. The rooms are clean, the beds are huge and the shower is good. Maybe this was always the case. Staff was very forthcoming and friendly. Food is simple, traditional and good. Pool is amazing.
