We did Mt Toubkal with these guys and can't praise them enough. The whole operation ran so smoothly, the food was delicious and of ample proportions and the contact made before the trip was great and left us reassured. The best bit however were our guides. Knowledgeable, kind, funny and patient. It was clear that their intention was to get the whole team up the mountain safely and together. I can't recommend them enough.

One of the best experiences of my life! We did the three day valley hiking tour, and it was incredible. Our guide Houssan was brilliant. He was always very friendly, knowledgeable about the local area and way of life, and his English is amazing. He was always happy to answer all of our questions and understanding of when we needed to slow down, or when we wanted to speed up. It was also very informative to hear about the earthquake and Houssan was excellent at describing how it affected the people, it made it feel very real.
Also a special mention to the muleteers and their cooking, it was brilliant and we had some quality food. I would highly recommend this company (especially because of Houssan) and I will definitely be back and would never choose a different company to this one.

We booked a trek with Aztat Treks through Much Better Adventures. We trekked for 4 days through the High Atlas Mountains up and over mountain passes. Our guides - Hassian and Rasheid - were incredible. They were caring, attentive and knowledgeable and made sure we had a brilliant time. They gave us a gentle steady pace which was so helpful. December was a good time to go because the mornings were nice and cool to start walking in. The cooks and porters managed to create the most amazing food for us on the side of mountains! I would 100% recommend to everyone. Thank you so much for giving me an amazing trip and brilliant memories which I will never forget.

We used Aztat Treks in March 2024 for the Mount Toubkal trek.
So, where to begin?! I honestly could not fault Aztat Treks. The whole trip from beginning to end was in the trusty hands of Mohammad and Said, two of the most genuine people and expert guides we could have hoped for. They supported us the whole trip and really kept morale high. This trip truly wouldn't have been the same without them. We felt safe doing such an expedition with their expert mountain skills.
Further to this, their support team were equally wonderful, taking our evening bags ahead of us on the Mules, and cooking us our breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food was exemplary, an absolute banquet of flavour and colour at every meal.

Would 100% recommend this service. Speaking to other trekkers at the mountain refuge, we soon realised we had booked with the best guides, as the service others were getting was nowhere near as good in comparison.

Above and beyond!

We (couple) booked a trip with Aztat treks (same owner as dar adrar), hiking through the mountains (5 days) and to the Merzouga sand dunes (4 days). The staff (guide, driver, host, owner) were all good and honorable people, and very professional. This trip could not have been better: even the weather was impeccable.

All of the pictures of Aztat treks on Google are 100% accurate. The food during the mountain-trek, made by Hassan, was especially amazing! Thanks Mohammed and Jamal for al the insights and details of the things we saw during the trip. We also highly recommend Dar Adrar where we stayed for two nights during the trip.

Amazing experience trekking Toubkal in February guided by Mohamed from Aztat treks! Organising the trip was easy thanks to great communication from the company. The trek itself was incredible, Mohamed was an outstanding guide who was always friendly and willing to share his enormous knowledge of the Atlas Mountains. The food provided also ensured we were never hungry as ir was plentiful and delicious. Would 100% recommend.

We went on a trip to Morocco in November 2021 with Aztat Treks, we were looking for something that could include trekking and opportunities to discover different landscapes.
Our experience was simply amazing, we spent a couple of days on the Atlas, travelled through the gorges and into the desert. Ibrahim, our guide spoke great English, and was the perfect person to guide us through this beautiful country, kind intelligent and funny he managed to make us feel at home and shared so many interesting insights.
With the help of Mustafa , our driver we felt like we truly had the time to take in this travel fully.

Our second Ibrahim, who took care of cooking and carrying our bags up the atlas treated us with unimaginable attention, we enjoyed incredible meals in the middle of nature and still remember how stuffed we felt after each of them. To give you an idea of the attention to detail this team has, after our first long trek, were relaxing with the breathtaking view of the mountains in front of us, little did we know that Ibrahim was about to whip out a fuming plate of buttered popcorn, cookies and tea.

We stopped along the way, to discover hidden gems, shared music during our long drives, we even managed to catch mustafa vibing to our selection of 80s rock. While we write write we are still listening to the playlist he and Ibrahim helped us put together in the car, and great mix of berber, rap and Moroccan hip hop.

The accommodation was always beyond our expectations, we slept in a perfectly located simple guest house in the Mountains, a stunning chalet in Imlil and great and spacious hotels along the way. We were hosted in luxury tents in the desert and and had breakfast overlooking the desert dunes at sunrise.

We never felt stuck in a tourist trap, quite the opposite.

Three of my friends and I booked the 2 day hike and 3 day desert tour with Aztat Treks in winter. We had such an incredible time, felt safe and well looked after every minute of the day. Our guide Ali during the hike was super friendly and helpful and answered all our questions. The meals that were prepared were amazing and the accommodation was simple but just as amazing. We felt welcomed everywhere we went. Our guide Rachid for the desert tour was fantastic. So very helpful, kind, friendly and a great sense of humor.

Had an amazing time on a day trek around Imlil with Rashid! Just the right level of difficulty with amazing views and a beautiful lunch stop. 3-4 hours hiking but they can amend the route to suit your requirements. Highly recommend as a day trip from Marrakech to get some fresh mountain air

Where to begin with this incredible trek? Three friends and I decided to attempt a winter summit of Mount Toubkal, and in coordination and scheduling, Aztat was the most attentive and specific about plans and helping to set everything up from the beginning. On our four-day, three-night trip, we never wanted for anything! We had INCREDIBLE Moroccan food prepared for lunch and dinner, as well as a hearty breakfast each morning. Our fearless leader, Muhammad, safely got us from village to village, while educating us on the local culture (he is from these mountains) all the while. The team always made sure we had plenty of drinking water on our trip (no contamination issues or otherwise), and we had any gear provided (to rent) in the event that we needed something specific. The accommodations provided exceeded expectations, and even at the last one, the base camp with no heat in the room, our team made sure we didn't want for anything. Everyone really took care of us, wholeheartedly, and we couldn't have asked for a better crew. We weren't able to make the summit on the last day (and no one had for about three days beforehand) due to extreme weather, but Muhammad continued to lead us until we were ready to call it quits. I would recommend Aztat with ZERO reservations! Make sure you go with a hearty sense of adventure :)

Ibrahim the best ever mountain guide, knows every stone and rock in the mountains! I am a solo female traveller from Hong Kong and just finished an amazing 5 days tour with Aztat Treks with 2 days up Mt. Toubkal and 3 Days Sahara Desert 🐪, I stayed in both the accommodation they owned in Imili Dar Adrar- nice and quite, a quaint guest house. Daily fresh food prepared by the gentleman there called Hamid, very friendly and always helpful. I Also stayed in Riad Quartier Des Palais in Marrakech, very convenient with the palaces just outside, Jemma el Fna a 10mins walk, I had the airport hotel pick up and a day spent at Essaoria, everyone of his team speaks good English and knows everything and are all helpful- I have had such a superb time, feeling safe and very happy, I can strong recommend them to all my friends and must come back to visit and use their services again!! I cannot thank nor recommend this company enough. Everyone we met went above and beyond.

Where to even begin. We booked a trip to climb Mount Toubkal in September 2023 and were up in the refuge at the base camp when the earthquake hit.

All of the guides and support teams were absolutely incredible with their response. They were so calm and went above and beyond to look after us despite everything they themselves were going through.

They went out of their way to make sure we were safe despite the lack of information about the earthquake and their families. They took us down a different route, a much longer one, for us to reach a safe point.

The company director also came to meet us and provided a lot of comfort to our families who we couldn't get hold of due to the lack of signal. Even after we were off the mountain they were so attentive and kept checking in on us making sure we got all our transport in the coming days.

Before the earthquake, the guides were extremely knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming (and all the food was delicious).

"The Master Chef"

Samir the master chef spun out some fantastic incredible tasty Moroccan inspired dishes, the team being all vegetarian, was little or no trouble for Samir with all granular detail taken care off with blissful ease.

Loved the super tasty soups, traditional tagine, finely chopped salad cut to precision, lentils, rice curry to name a few.
All meals nutritionally well balanced and packed with well being goodness to keep those all important energy levels up.
Although as constructive feedback goes, the bread needed to be a little softer missing the scrumptious and fluffiness, but considering the remoteness and the fluctuating varying temperature one can only appreciate the hardship efforts to transport such..

Mohamed Aztat (The Owner) and Amina were super informative, honest and swiftly responded to the countless questions and change of plans via both email and what's app communication

As for ethical treks, why not ease the load and hire an extra mule (Animal welfare)..

Fabulous, once in a life time experience. We went in the middle of October and got caught in an early winter storm....harsh, hard conditions. Take it seriously, take energy gels, good waterproofs, proper waterproof rucksack and gloves. Our guide Muhammad was an expert, we felt safe, he looked after everyone and we all had an amazing time, the mountains are staggeringly awesome.

Amazing expereince and great company. Ask for Hakim - the best guide in the whole of the Atlas. He took great care of us throughout the trip and it wouldnt have been the same without him!

One of my friends and I booked the 5 Day Atlas Valley Trek & Erg Chebbi Sahara Tour in March. Our guide Mohamed Ait Dammou had made the trip so memorable. He fed us with interesting facts and information about the areas while hiking or travelling to Sahara, and made us feel safe the whole trip. We really enjoyed our talks about the life in Morocco and its culture(s). We had never imagined to receive such great insights on a guided tour. All members of Aztat Treks were friendly and supportive. Best part of the trip had been for sure the 2 days hiking, it is such a great scenery. Also the Sahara part with camel ride and overnight stay in tents was, surprisingly, a great adventure, even though we had been a bit skeptically about it in advance. Looking at some other customer reviews, the success of the tour seems to be strongly connected to the guide. In our case, we can’t give less then 5 stars. Thanks for the great adventure!

We used Aztat as part of Much Better Adventures. They were excellent and the guides were really good. I would definitely use them again.

We really enjoyed our trip. We have been on quite a lot of trekking holidays around the world and this was certainly the best walking.
We were there in March and the climate was perfect; cclear but not too hot.

Our guide (Abdul) was very knowledgeable and spoke great English. He's also a really friendly guy and we could see that the trekking company really helps the area we were walking in.

The food was excellent throughout the trip. We loved it.
